Chapter 1
"You will be taking the place of a girl called Lizzy Hopps." Death explained. "She is a young girl who died during the Hogwarts summer break."
"How did she die?"
"An unfortunate accident in which she was hit by a car."
"That doesn't sound like a good way to go." Evie winced.
"Likely not, but that doesn't matter here. Her wand is made of both Ebony and Red Oak with a Phoenix core, it will work for you. Not as well as your proper wand, but it will work. You will arrive on 19/01/1952. The world itself will be very similar to yours but not exactly the same. Is there anything else you wish to know little master?"
"Does she have any living family...?"
"I'm afraid not little master. She did not have much family to begin with, those she did have were lost in the very same incident in which she herself was."
"Oh."
"Anything else? "
"Her age?"
"The same as you are now."
"Will I know her past or just mine?"
"Only your own, child. Now come, you cannot stay here for much longer. The in between does not like having the living inhabit it, and you can not pass on." Death reached out to Evie Potter waiting for the girl to place her hand in his.
"Will it hurt?" She asked.
"Not at all."
She took his hand.
