New Beginnings
Death was right. It didn't hurt at all. In fact, this body felt so much more comfortable to inhabit than her original one. It had not been horribly beaten, nor had it been starved like she once was. Places that she didn't even realise were tight or hurting were now smooth and pain free. It was, in Evie's opinion a lot nicer than what she was used to. Hopefully she would be able to maintain this level of health, or maybe even improve it further! Regardless, this was a change she could get behind. But right now she had more pressing matters to take care of. Item number one on the list was to go to Gringotts, and get herself an inheritance test to see who she truly was in this world. The second job she needed to do was find a source of income. But before she could do anything else, what she really needed to do was figure out where she was.
Turns out she was, rather unsurprisingly, in the middle of muggle London. After that revelation it was relatively easy to make her way to the Leaky Cauldron and duck her way through the crowd. Amazing how much easier things are when you aren't stupidly famous for not getting murdered as an infant. Evie was rather hoping that she would be able to keep her anonymity in this life. Too bad her infamous Potter luck would probably ruin it. Wait, would it? She's not technically a Potter any more... There may be hope for her yet!

She jinxed it. The second Evie walked into Gringotts every goblin on that floor of the bank seemed to turn and look at her. She should have known better than to tempt fate like that. Nervously Evie made her way to a desk & asked the goblin there (for there was no line at that particular desk) if she could get an Inheritance test. In response, the goblin looked at her like she was crazy.
