"HYUNG WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE"

If there is one thing Beomgyu is known for it would be that he hates running late or people causing him to run late. Unfortunately for him Soobin is the complete opposite that 9 times out of 10 makes Beomgyu run late. It was August meaning they were on summer vacation and the whole vacation the boys have spent hanging out together, going to the beach, playing video games just properly enjoying have no school and hot weather. Today was a bit different because they were going to a waterpark instead of the beach or pool to celebrate Kai's birthday. Soobin rushed down his stairs making sure he had everything in his bag of course his alarm didn't go off so he had 10 mins to prepare for it.

"I'm sorry gyu my alarm did not go off" He said quickly walking out the door with Beomgyu who looked like he was ready to choke Soobin at any second.

"And of course you didnt pack the night before like I told you to because you love making my life difficult" Beomgyu rolled his eyes playfully while entering his car. The two other boys were in the back sleeping, Soobin grabbed his phone and took a quick picture of the snoring mouth opened boys. The sound of the picture caused Taehyun to wake up which had a domino effect on Kai since he was asleep on his shoulder

"Delete that hyung" Taehyun said reaching for Soobin's phone.

Beomgyu put music on drowning out Taehyun's attempt to take Soobin's phone as they continued to fight for it.

"Do you guys want me to crash?" Beomgyu said looking through the rear-view mirror at Taehyun. Slowly Taehyun sat back down crossing his hands over his chest as he mumbled obvious curse words under his breath

"Don't sulk hyunie. Get it? Hyunie? Like honey, god i'm hilarious" Soobin was the only one laughing at his horrible joke. "Tough fucking crowd damn"

"Happy birthday to our cutieful maknae Kai Kamal Huening woohoo" Beomgyu interrupted Soobin's sulking

"Yes happy birthday Kai-ah. How does it feel to finally be 15?" Taehyun used his hand as a fake microphone like he was doing an interview

"Honestly it feels so amazing I cant–" He broke out in a fake dramatic cry "I just can't believe I'm one year older like wow one five this is insane!" Taehyun wiped Kai's fake tears off his eyes

"I know how you feel it's so emotional being 15" Kai was now wiping Taehyun's fake tears.

"You guys make me feel old" Soobin interjected their dramatic acting

"Hyung that's because you really are" Taehyun said quickly causing everyone to laugh

"I'll remember that when you want me to buy you alcohol when I turn legal first"

They continued laughing and the rest of the car ride was filled with them joking, laughing, and most importantly loudly listening to music. Beomgyu had a cooler filled of food for when they got hungry due to the fact they were going to be there for a while. It was 10 am when they arrived the boys already bought the ticket online so they quickly scanned it getting in. Taehyun was holding the heavy cooler because unfortunately he was the strongest out of all of them, Soobin could only throw good punches that's it.

Finding a spot to safely put their cooler and stuff down they began to put sunblock on raving about which ride they would all go on. "Are we sticking together or are we going rogue?" Beomgyu asked curiously.

"How about we do our own thing for like an hour and at 11:30 we all come back here and join forces" Taehyun had said after applying his sunblock on. The boys all agreed and with that Soobin was on his own walking around aimlessly deciding which ride he wanted to get on first.

He wasn't afraid of rollercoasters but waterparks were a bit scary since he doesn't know how to swim. He has never told anyone he couldn't because he is old enough to have already known how to do it and embarrassment clouded his judgment to tell the others about it. Whenever they went to the beach he either stayed near the shore or would say he was "sunbathing" To avoid suspicion. Plus he has grown significantly fast once again he was now 5'11 so surely drowning would be harder right?

He walked around for a bit until he noticed this blue ride that looked interesting so he moved into the queue to wait for it. While waiting he was starting to get nervous even if he seemed okay Soobin's inability to swim consumed his ability to have fun it seemed like. The line wasn't that long so only 5 minutes later it was now Soobin's turn and in those five minutes he went back and forth on leaving or staying in line. The only reason he stayed was because he zoned out deep enough to not notice he was moving up the line, now he is faced with actually going down. He knows he needs to face his fear and he didn't want to be a party pooper for Hyuka's birthday so he needed to put his big boy pants on.

Grabbing the inflatable he sat down on it waiting for the worker to see if it was safe for him to, The 20 seconds of waiting felt like 20 years.

"Okay buddy you are good to go. Remember to hold onto the handle of the floaty tightly okay. On the count of three I'll push you"

Soobin is sweating it could be the sun but he isn't quite sure anymore.

"One"

He is fighting every demon you could possibly think of right now.

"Two"

He feels like he needs to take the biggest shit ever holy hell this was tortue

"THREE"

With that he was pushed finally descending into the tube. Screaming a bit Soobin was luckily enjoying the experience more than he imagine. The ride lasted 45 seconds max and the bright light indicated he was now arriving at the end. He swiftly glided out floating in the pool still in the floaty as the employees drag him out. If every ride was like that he wouldn't mind doing it.

Leaving the ride he gave the worker his floaty and now he was feeling much better his fears melting away. Soobin just needed to not fall off the floaty and he will be dandy. He noticed that even if he did he was significantly tall enough to not drown. Thank god for his height. He rode 3 more rides before looking at the clock and seeing he had one more ride he could fit in before meeting the boys again. He landed on a purple ride that looked intense enough for Soobin to handle. Walking towards the line he noticed a face that he has not seen in quite some time waiting. Choi Yeonjun.

Soobin hasn't seen the boy in like 2 months now so it was very weird seeing him again. For some reason Soobin's heart started beating faster than usual, it's probably from the fact his wannabe bully was there...of course. Before Soobin could run away Yeonjun had noticed Soobin he stared for a couple seconds confusion painted on his face. This was the longest Yeonjun had looked at him in months. Soobin's face started heating up causing him to break the staring contest.

Looking away Soobin quickly got in line praying to God Yeonjun wouldn't come up to him and restart his bullying streak, Soobin looked up and noticed Yeonjun was now gone. He sighed in relief he wouldn't need to avoid him awkwardly anymore. Before he could basked in his victory a tap on his right shoulder caused him to look at who was touching it. Of course Yeonjun was the culprit, there he was face to face with Soobin staring directly in his soul.

"You can't ride this by yourself dummy it's for two or more people" Yeonjun uncrossed his arms using one of them to point at the very large sign that in fact said that.

"O-oh" Soobin started to walk away embarrassed for a multitude of reason. His ears felt like they were going to fall off from the heat. But before he could hands wrapped around one of his wrist stopping him from leaving the line

"I didn't say to leave, I was letting you know I'll ride with you. My friends have each other" Soobin looked up and noticed he was there with two other people who didn't pay them any mind.

"Why would you do that?" He raised an eyebrow confused all around on why he was acting like they were friendly enough to ride together. Yeonjun was acting like 3 months ago they weren't fist to fist in each others face.

"You looked like you wanted to ride this...I don't know" Yeonjun let go of Soobin's wrist coughing awkwardly while he crossed his arms against his chest again.

"That is true it does look fun. Okay we can but after that let's go our separate ways" He coldly said and Yeonjun's facial expression looked a bit upset over Soobin's harsh tone. He didn't answer verbally instead choosing to shake his head in agreement. He can admit he didn't need to be mean especially since Yeonjun was surprising not being mean but it's hard not to with him.

They waited for the line and unfortunately for Soobin this line was clearly long as hell, they already were waiting for 10 mins and are just half way. Luckily he did still have time before he had to meet the boys so he wasn't tripping. It was very awkward waiting silently with Yeonjun who fiddled with his swim trunk. Soobin hadn't noticed that Yeonjun wasn't wearing a shirt staring at him Soobin's ears got hot making him quickly look away.

"Lock in" Soobin muttered under his breath to him clenching his fist

Yeonjun turned around and looked at Soobin, "What did you say?" He was doing his signature pouty lips that made him look like a lost baby duck.

"Nothing just talking to myself to keep myself busy" he was now just saying anything. It wasn't like he was going to admit he was telling himself to lock in because he got flustered looking at his body, hell no. Soobin regretted wearing a swimming shirt today of all days.

"This silence is killing me can we just pretend to like each other just until we ride it? I don't do good with silence. I know you're an expert at it but I cant" Yeonjun gave Soobin some sort of puppy dog eyes that sent a shock down his spine...why did he think he looked cute like that? Someone kill him now.

"Fine...so how is your summer going?" Soobin had to force himself to sound normal as possible. Yeonjun smiled at Soobin showcasing his bunny like teeth.

"Great honestly. I got into SNU so i'm trying to enjoy my summer of slacking off fully before I have to kill myself with work and responsibilities. What about you?" Yeonjun and Soobin were having their first normal conversation that wasn't met with animosity it was weird.

"I'm on the same boat. It's my senior year soon so I have to keep up the great work ten folds so I'm enjoying slacking off. Sometimes I wish I didn't care about anything to enjoy slacking off more, it's like a drug" Soobin crossed his arm as he dramatically exhaled

That response was met with a giggle from Yeonjun that disrupted Soobin's train of thought. The UV must be getting to him because he is having weird thoughts...why the hell did he find him giggling cute as well? Matter of fact why does he KEEP thinking Choi Yeonjun was adorable. He also realized he told Yeonjun a bit too much than he would have, Yeonjun doesn't need to know how he actually felt he should have lied.

"I felt that. Senior year goes by super fast so enjoy it fully" Yeonjun patted Soobin's shoulder endearingly which caused the younger to tense up. Yeonjun was treating Soobin like they have been friends all this time and Soobin did not like that. His facial expression soured a bit and Yeonjun must have noticed as he immediately dropped his hand and awkwardly chuckled.

"Sorry didn't mean to do that force of habit I guess" Yeonjun scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

Thankfully they were now next in line to ride I guess talking does in deed make time move faster. Soobin realized now that this ride was a bit more intense than he thought..anxiety oozing out of his whole body. They were higher up than he thought, he looked down and gulped harshly. Closing his eye he tried to sooth himself telling himself it's okay. Suddenly a hand was grabbing his hand which caused him to open his eyes locking eyes with none other than Yeonjun whose expression looked like he was worried.

"It's going to be okay Soobin, I'm here don't worry" Yeonjun smiled and gave him a tight squeeze on his hand still holding it as they made their way to the floaty grabbing it and sitting down. Soobin was so spooked he didn't even care that Yeonjun and him were still holding hands his fear was taking over his whole body.

"What if I drown? I can't swim" Soobin frantically said not even catching on the fact he told Yeonjun one of his biggest secrets he has kept from everyone including Beomgyu.

"Hey look at me" Yeonjun grabbed Soobin's face with his free hand "I got you. If you drown I'll save you. I'm actually a great swimmer you should know that I was on the swimming team at school, even brought us a gold medal" He smugly said which cause Soobin to laugh at his narcissism.

"Okay guys I'm going to push you guys on the count of three okay?"

Yeonjun's hand was still holding Soobin's hand and Soobin gulped still a bit scared.

'One"

Yeonjun's hand tighted around his hand. "I got you" he said again

"Two"

"Fighting" Yeonjun said trying to make Soobin laugh again which worked

"Three!"

The employee pushed them down and Soobin closed his eyes at the initial shock of the drop causing Yeonjun's grip tighten again. "You're okay! That was technically the only bad part"Yeonjun said causing Soobin to open his eyes and realize that was the only bad part.

"Thank god" Soobin laughed while looking at Yeonjun who joined in.

The rest of the ride was a piece of cake until Soobin noticed another drop but this time it was going to be into the pool. Soobin was going to 100% tip over and drown his anxiety started to take over. Soobin didn't notice he was still holding Yeonjun's hand until Yeonjun tighten his grip causing Soobin to look at him.

"I'm here don't worry. You wont drown" Yeonjun smiled, hearing that caused Soobin to be less scared.

Upon arriving at the drop they landed in the pool and the floaty tilted over causing Soobin to tilt over and fall into the pool. This pool was significantly deeper than the other ones, Soobin couldn't even touch the floor. Struggling for a split second that his fear was coming true Soobin felt a hand grab around his waist, pulling him towards the exit. Soobin didn't realize he had shut his eyes so when he opened them he seen Yeonjun was holding him as he swam closer to the part of the pool where Soobin could walk on.

Luckily it didnt take long for him to feel the bottom of the pool. Yeonjun must have not realized because he kept swimming holding Soobin tightly, Soobin watched as Yeonjun's expression looked like he himself was scared. Finally when they were exiting Yeonjun had noticed Soobin touched the bottom a couple seconds ago which caused his cheeks to turn a slight pink hue. Letting go of Soobin's waist Yeonjun walked out of the pool Soobin following behind.

"Sorry I didn't realize you were okay quicker. I was just in lifeguard mode and needed to get you out quickly" Yeonjun's cheeks were getting redder as he continued to talk.

"It's okay, Thank you I really do appreciate it" Soobin's ears were also bright red. The two boys were a flustered mess. Snapping out of whatever type of moment they were having Soobin look at his waterproof watch and seen it was 11:28 meaning he needed to leave.

"I'm going to head out first. Thank you again" Yeonjun looked like he wanted to say something but instead he nodded his head and with that Soobin walked to the spot noticing the other boys there luckily.

"Hyung!" Kai said flapping his hands all over the place as if Soobin didn't see them

"Yes birthday boy I seen you" Soobin laughed while ruffling Kai's hair.

The boys started talking about what rides they rode to avoid going on it when they go together and all Soobin was focused on was the interaction he had with Yeonjun. He didn't understand how or even why Yeonjun seemed to care if Soobin drowned or not or if he was scared. I mean the lifeguards would have saved Soobin if he was actually drowning. His ears were still burning red as he continued to think about what happened

"Hyung are you okay?" Beomgyu said placing a hand around Soobin's arms drawing his attention back to the boys

"Yeah sorry just spaced out a bit. But I rode like 4 rides they were very fun" Soobin started naming the names of said rides

"Wait you rode el ninos? How that one is two or more?" Taehyun raised an eyebrow.

"I found a random person to ride with" Soobin hates lying at his friends but if he admitted to riding with Yeonjun they would burn him at the stake he fears. Taheyun nodded clearly believing his story.

"Okay enough chit chat let's go!" Kai said very enthusiastically, he loves waterparks which is why we are here.

They rode even more rides that were made for groups of 2 or more and luckily he had his friends there if he were to almost drown. Soobin and the others had so much fun that two hours had went by in a blink of an eye. It was now 1:45pm and the boys were exhausted walking back to the cooler and their stuff.

"I'm so hungry I could literally eat this chair" kai said siting down exhaustedly.

Everyone agree lowly clearly starving and out of energy to even form words. They silently ate like this was the last meal on earth. When they were full it was like they regained all the energy they had depleted.

"Wow I feel so much better" Soobin said patting his stomach

"No actually who needs video games when the thrill of eating after 3 hours of being in water is enough" Beomgyu said putting his head on soobin's shoulder which was an indicator that he was sleepy. Soobin knows Beomgyu like the back of his hand so it's not hard to know he was 3 seconds away from falling asleep. Seeing Beomgyu clearly exhausted he decided he would sacrifice his sleep.

"Beomgyu you don't need to drive us back, I'll drive so you can sleep i know you stayed up late from being excited for today." Ruffling his hair a bit he felt Beomgyu giggle on his shoulder

"You know me so well, Are you sure? You also slept like shit" Beomgyu took his head slightly off Soobin's shoulder to look at him.

"Of course i'll be fine. so it's settled! Let's get going boys" Not wasting any time Soobin quickly got up causing Beomgyu to forcefully get off of his shoulder resulting in a pouty Beomgyu.

"I'm so happy I can be passenger princess which is exactly what I should always be" Beomgyu said grabbing all of his stuff while everyone else chuckled. They all made sure they didn't leave anything behind grabbing all their belongings, they were walking out Soobin noticed Yeonjun was near the exit talking to his friends. Yeonjun looked over and stared at Soobin sending him a quick wave goodbye which Soobin sent one back. Thankfully everyone was too tired to have caught on to that.
