Lucius - Same thing, with somewhat more concern

While Harry was musing about what to do about this whole situation, one Lucius Malfoy was doing exactly the same.

And he was worried.

Contemplating the situation, Lucius realized a few things. Firstly, he has clearly, somehow, been transferred to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The school he is one of the biggest benefactors of, and the school where he used to have a seat on the Board of Directors until the Buckbeak incident. He was still seething at the thought of that incident. His son was almost killed by a hippogriff, and he is somehow in the wrong? Obviously Dumbledore covered up the whole scandal.

Secondly, he is somehow in a body of Harry Potter. Gryffindor hero, Boy-who-lived, one who destroyed the Dark Lord. His previous master. That was... interesting. Lucius was contemplating the possibilities.

"Impossible", he muttered when a particularly ludicrous idea came to his mind. He realized he even sounds like Potter!

Damn.

In any case, here he is... Lord Malfoy, chief advisor to the Minister and leader of the Dark faction. Ex-Death Eater. In Hogwarts. Ran by Dumbledore.

Another problem. Lucius was worrying. Is this one of Dumbledore's schemes? He privately doubted it, but who knows what that annoying old man is capable of? Lucius doubted this was a joke, it seemed too complex and elaborate. Clearly, it was a thing of magic.

In any case, it is how it is.

Lucius suddenly realized another thing: his son is in this school too! He could see Draco... hm... that would be interesting. Sadly, this means he wouldn't see Narcissa.

Well. No use of too much thinking. What to do?

Does this mean Harry is in his body as he was thinking?

That would be... not good, but intriguing. How long would Harry survive until Narcissa realized something was wrong? But he couldn't influence that, so his thoughts went in another direction.

Could he contact Narcissa? Not really, at least for now. He was in a castle, monitored by Dumbledore, after all. Dumbledore was his greatest concern. If he discovers the truth... it wouldn't be good for Lucius, he was sure of that.

In that moment, a weird-looking, glowing pergament flew to his room, seemingly out of thin air. Harry grabbed it. In emerald letters it was written: 'Lucius Malfoy, you have been transferred to the body of Harry Potter. You shall be in body of his for at least some months, and maybe more, until what has to come will have come. Others shall see you as Potter, and no one shall suspect the truth. You have been chosen to do this. Use it well.'

Well... this simplifies things.

Lucius understood two things.

He is in the body of Boy-who-lived, and he would be so for quite some time.

Nobody could discover the truth.

Lucius was a very influential man, and few wizards in Britain could match his influence. Albus Dumbledore was one of them. Minister Fudge was, quite frankly, a puppet he has been manipulating for years, if not decades. There weren't other too influential people. Amelia Bones was a bother, yes; but she was Cornelius' subordinate, so not much of a problem. In past days Bartemius Crouch looked like a future leader, but after the thing with his son was discovered - coincidentally, of course - that also didn't come to happen.

Wizengamot? There were 50 seats. Light faction had 22 seats, Dark faction had 20 seats, and Neutrals had 8 seats. Dumbledore was a Chief Warlock in that august body. Leader of Light faction was Doge, who was essentially Dumbledore's puppet. Lucius led the Dark faction himself, without a doubt the domineering person there. Grey faction was led by Lord Greengrass who also had notable influence, but not as much as Malfoy or Dumbledore. Grey votes were generally necessary for any law to pass, but Grey faction wasn't too tight of an alliance, so its members generally voted independently. Most of legislature put down by Light fools were passing these days. Only too liberal agenda was doomed to fall.

Harry Potter, as a son of late Lord Potter, would one day be Lord Potter. Additionally, as Sirius' successor, he was the leading candidate for Black lordship as well - a blow to Narcissa and his ambitions, but alas. Harry already had some influence with his name and it would only grow in the future. Perhaps it was a perfect chance for this.

Lucius would use influence of Harry Potter's name to advance his agenda in the Wizarding world.

With a more neutral Potter... perhaps just a bit Dark... a lot could be achieved.

"Harry, mate! Wake up!"

Lucius turned around.

In front of his bed stood a tall, red-headed boy. He looked like a Weasley. He talked like a Weasley. He smirked like a Weasley.

He was a son of infuriating, muggle-loving, Dumbledore-parroting, Weasley.

And he looked cheerful to see him.

He was Harry's best friend.

Lucius' eye twitched.
