He looked at her with a forlorn expression, his usual mask of indifference completely gone from his face.
“I don’t know why you’re so upset with me sir,” Hermione said from her position across the room. “This mission is important. It may be the turning point to the entire war.”
Severus turned his eyes from her, staring into the flames at the hearth. Dumbledore and his blasted mission. The man knew, he knew the entire time and had still opted to get the lot of them into this mess of a task. But she still didn’t know.
