A Vacation to Remember part 2
-- Earth Court, Royal Chambers --
Raspen stepped into the room. "Father, Mera." He greeted softly.
"Raspen, come in." His Mera said happily. "What's happened that you've had to ask for an emergancy meeting just after getting back from the Runes Forum?"
"I had an Evanson, a childe or grandchild of Jun Evanson. She's more than likely inherited her gifts with Runes." Raspen said. "Her questions were high level in understanding, and edged the Royal Seal boundries."
"And why would you indulge a child speaking on things they shouldn't? If its royal seal or close enough to the royal seals then you should have just went to the next question from the crowd and not let her speak on her questions," Edgar said as he looked at his son.
"Oh hush, Edgar, you know we have so few Runes Masters of this level. Besides, it is a Child, she wouldn't have known better. Who was she with, Ras-dear?" Calla- his Mera asked.
"She was with Ambassidor Lapis, Mera, so I honestly couldn't reject answering her outright, not if I wanted to assist in keeping good relations with Teyvat." Raspen replied. "He was doting on her like she was his own child."
Edgar frowned espeically when Raspen said that the child was with Ambassador Lapis. "Was she at least Respectful? I would hope so given she was with Lapis but you never know, And if she is Evanson clan's how have we not been introduced before now? And how far does her Gift with Runes go? Had she any knowledge of the Elemental runes before the Forum?" He asked several questions then paused to let Raspen talk.
"She was very respectful. As for the Evanson connection, only they can answer that, but they've been absent from Court for awhile now." Raspen started. "As for Runes, I can- at least- say she's a prodigy, I do not have an answer for anything more."
Calla gave an interested hum. "What else can you say?"
"She's connected to the Misfit Troop." Raspen said.
Edgar looked at Raspen. "Explain how," he ordered.
"She seems to be the daughter of Malice, though he didn't have his mask on." Raspen answered.
"This is going to be a nightmare, How old was the child? how long do we have before they might be coming to courts?" Edgar asked pinching his nose bridge.
"She looks to be eight, ten or eleven if she was a rescue." Raspen didn't have the complete answer. "We will probably have to request her Medical file."
Edgar nodded and sent the request.
-- Air Court, Royal Family Chambers --
Perry stepped into thr door, a tired sigh escaping him.
Dawne gathered her skirts as she noticed her brother and carefully rushed to his side. "Perry! Welcome home," She said dropping her skirts and throwing her arms around him. "Did you have fun at the Rune Forum?" She asked eyes shining up at her big brother.
"Definitely one for the books." Perry answered. "We have another Evanson Runes Mistress in the making."
"Really? how old is she?" Dawne asked curious and excited.
"Now now Dawne is that any way to get the information you want? Your brother is barely back in our Chambers and you have ambushed him," the Air Queen said as she walked up with the Air Clan leader beside her.
Dawne dipped her head down slightly. "My apologies," She said softly as she stepped back from Perryton.
"A young lady should never throw herself at a male family or not, " the Peverell clan head stated in her noble attitude as she watched Dawne recompose herself before nodding.
"Lady Peverell, this is the Air Royals Private Courters, she is also a child and my sister. I allow it because she is family and this is where we are meant to relax." Perry spoke calmly.
"It is still not Proper," Lady Peverell said.
"And you need to hold your opinions Perryton, This is our guest here, and you are still a child as well" the Air Queen stated siding clearly with the Peverell Clan head.
"Mother, this is a guest trying to correct my sister- your daughter- as if you never taught her manners." Perry said.
"You will watch your tongue Perryton, If I allow it then it means that I believe the lesson is needed and you questioning that underminds our lessons for your sister, Ladies of the High Courts Especially Royals need to maintain decorum at all times, I must not have been firm enough if you are willing to talk back to me like this," The Air Queen stated
"No you were firm, but you also forget the first rule in every circle! Family First! Do you have a Peverell Bonded, Mother? I haven't-" Perry started.
"Enough Perryton, you mentioned you had something that needed to be discussed, and the time i have to hear your report is limited," Air Queen said.
"I can step out if you wish my Queen maybe run some lessons for the princess?" Lady Peverell suggested.
"No, Lady Peverell, I wish Dawne to hear this as well." Perry countered. "As this pertains to a treaty to Teyvat."
Lady Peverell frowned and bowed. "Very Well, I will wait in the Tea Room then," she said leaving the Hall to make her way to the Tea room.
"Alright lets go to the office then, if you are sure this might be something to deal with Teyvat," The Queen said turning to lead them to the office and taking her seat at the desk.
Perry and Dawne sat in the chairs in front of her. "Ambassdor Lapis was with a child, a girl- who I'd admit is a Runes Prodigy- but she wasn't one we have seen before, so a new Sanctuary Ward perhaps." Perry started.
"If they are a Sanctuary Ward then their medical files would be available for Royal review, we might get an idea which court she might actually fall under once she is of age, and we might have to fight for custody if they are proven to be unfit guardians," the Air Queen stated.
"There's no proof already to have them removed. the girl loves Ambassador Lapis." Perry shook his head.
"I just meant we would have to keep an eye just incase anything changes that's all, I don't doubt that Ambassador Lapis would never harm a child but others he is tied to might be a threat that's all," The queen said dismissively.
"Her Third is in his Circle." Perry shook his head again at her scheming.
Dawne looked at her brother then said "She's already giving you questions that make you think about Runes?"
"Yes, and from what Ebony and Raspen have hinted, she might be an Evanson." Perry confirmed.
"An Evanson you say, well that would make her not of our court but we don't know what other families there are in her bloodlines," the Queen said
"I'm guessing there's Merrow Heritage, when Advisor Keiran appeared, part of the portal water refused to leave." Perry told her.
"Still thats possible Fire, Earth and Merrow she would be lost in all the courts come her inheritance, Definitely Nameless until she gets a proper circle," the Queen stated dismissing the power Nameless could hold.
Perry gave his Mother a firm look. "Mother, she's a potential powerful bonded, why not sway her to our side now? Dawne and this child look to be similar in age, but this child is skilled she could elavete Dawne higher and bring us more power."
The Air Queen thought about that, he did have a good point trying to arrange circles would be her right for Dawne, If this child was submissive or Mage tying her daughter to her would bring the child into their courts purview.
"I'll leave this to you to schedule meetings for Dawne and the child then? and I still want to see the child's medical files," she said standing.
Perry nodded. "I will take care of it, Mother."
--Shadow Court, Cunningham Manor --
The Cunningham shadowed directly to his Lady's side. "My Lady, you need to talk with your sister about her new ward."
Marianna looked up from the report she was looking over. "Oh and why is that my shadow?" she asked as she set the report down.
"She's aquired a budding Genius level Runes Mistress, possibly a Rune Singer." He reported. "It's- Look." He transfered her the memories involving Mariposa.
Marianna sat there processing and smiled. "It might be time to have a family dinner," she said with a smile. "but it does concern me that my sisters Alpha was going to take the young one to the healers after the forum,"
"Yes, my Lady." He bowed, getting ready to make the message to Marianna's sister: Silver.
--Fire Courts, Royal Family Quarters--
Ebony was stalking through the hall ways of the Royal Family Quarters looking for her Older cousin. She had to talk to SOMEONE about this and her parents were not making time for her. She could see her fingers sparking with the need to unload this information.
"Looks like you had a blast." Her favorite cousin spoke up from behind her.
Ebony spun around and tired to punch him. "Don't Do that !" she cried out to him. "My office!" She said just as Quickly.
He followed, chuckling darkly as he watched her scamper off.
Once inside the office and the door Closed Ebony collapsed into her chair. "Yue, i need to share some memories and then talk about them you up for it?" she asked.
"Yea, I've got time." Yue said, holding out his hand.
Ebony memory Transfered the whole situation that happened with the Rune Forum from how the Guards called a portal break to her snarking about the Merrow representatives and being scolded by a child to said child asking near royal seal covered questions.
"First what's your impression of the child?" she asked.
Yue said nothing for a few moments. ".... Get me her Medical Files."
"Why is that the first thing you ask about the child?" Ebony asked her hair sparking slightly as she grumbled and laid the file down on the desk.
"She's been abused. Ambassador Lapis seems to have rescued her, or part of her recovery process." Yue said.
"How did you see that from the memories?" Ebony asked worried she missed something as she sat up.
"How she clings to him, looks to him for approval." Yue
"Most children at her age do that right? She's like 8 so it would make sense yes?" Ebony asked.
"Ebony, what do I do?" Yue knew she knew his job, his calling.
"You help those that need rescuing, she triggers your instincts?" Ebony states as she thinks about that. "How can I help beyond not taking what she said to heart?"
"But what kind of people, Ebony. SAY it." Yue demanded, holding off on answering the rest.
"Abused, neglected and hurt people and children, Yue," Ebony said tears in her eyes.
"Right, now look back over your memories. More of towards how the rescued children acted towards me." Yue said. "She acts the same way with Ambassador Lapis."
"She's trying to heal and keep a father figure that makes her safe," Ebony said softly as she thought about the interactions she saw between runes consultations.
Yue nodded. "So yes, she does hit on my instincts, but also I can see she's already rescued."
"So what do we do going forward? She's so small, everyone's going to be watching her growth in the runes community, she's going to need to be sworn in on certain topics just to keep her safe from Royal sealed information backlash," She said running a hand through her hair stressing. "And She could be an Evanson!" she added on top of all that.
Yue grabbed the file, the first page on top would be the basic information, then the fact she had connections to Evanson, Peverell, Monse, and a redacted Fae Clan. "She is an Evanson." He said. "She's also a Lady Magic made Twin." He said, dropping that bomb, as he read further along. He sighed. "Yeah here it is, the Rescue. The twins were signed over to Silver Ashwood of the Arythmoor-Lapis Circle. Oh, and Ebony? Don't look at the Medical File until you have the time to calm down from your worst temper." Yue gave her a firm look.
Ebony nodded as she ran a hand through her hair again. "That's all the warning i need to know it's bad Cousin dear, I probably wont read it just your summary has made me already dread what is in there, but Twins that could possibly talk runes like that would be the Runes Guilds nightmare," she said as she looked at Yue.
Yue shook his head. "No, I don't think both will, for all they ARE twins, they're still different people."
"I know cousin, I was saying IF her twin ever took interest like she did just think about how likely it is they would be able to talk at the high level together," she thought then shuddered. "Nightmare but wickedly cool," she said a sad smile.
-- Outer Realm, Unplottable Isle--
Riven sat down at his table having time to rest, but not really. He prepared a Long-distance message bubble, before recording it. "Maia, keep an eye out for the one you pointed out to me. You're right I'm interested." He also set a gift that Maia had wanted into the bubble as well, knowing it'd look like a bribe, but it wasn't.... right?
--Aqua-Kin'e Courts, Royal Private Courters--
Keiran stepped into the Main Room, his eyes shining with both intrigue and horror, the little Guppy's Medical File tucked under his arm.
Alcandor looked up from his desk that he was sitting at confused about the look on Keiran's face. "What's going on now Keiran?" He asked as he set his paperwork down not forgetting it but knowing it would do his Advisor a disservice if he didn't give him his full attention.
Keiran decided the he'd let the Medical File talk first, handing Krym a second copy. "Look at that first. Then I'll explain how I had this brought to my attention, beyond the Kalzik land-fish."
Krymsen took his copy that was handed to him and didn't understand how he was being dragged into reading medical files. He flipped it open and read the name very landwalker which didn't surprise him but he moved on it was a young female child preinheritance which okay still didn't mean anything as he wandered down the page reading bloodlines and paused when he saw Monse. He looked up at Keiran and narrowed his eyes at the advisor as if thinking of a way to get away with gutting him. He also caught a line that said siblings and listed a twin. "So where's the other file? Since we have a pair of twin lost children," Krymsen growled. He had family and this smug bastard was hiding information.
Alcandor opened his copy and read down skimming through bloodlines, He noted three elements, one Fire, one Air and the last Aqua'Kin'e. He pinched his nose at the migraine that was going to start if he had to fight to get time to talk with her when he heard Krymsen growl about a twin and a second file. Alcandor continued through the file and found what he needed to know they were not going to be gaining custody of the twins not without a fight. "And when were you going to say that Ambassador Lapis' circle had custody of them?" Alcandor asked looking at Keiran.
"That there was a twin, I hadn't paid attention to as much as she was the only one there. As for the fact of Ambassador Lapis's Circle, well... He was the one holding her. I was more shocked by Kesmar's reaction to her. He wasn't willing to leave her." Keiran replied.
That got both men's attention. "So is there a chance they will inherit as Aqua'Kin'e?" Alcandor asked as he watched Keiran. "If Kesmer didn't leave her she might have a good chance of it, but her other bloodlines make me worry she might not settle as well into life here if she has a fire inheritance," Alcandor said.
Krymsen looked at the file and then looked at Keiran. "You're still hiding something, What is it," He demanded as he closed the file not ready to really see how hard life had been on his niece since he didn't have his Nephew's file as well.
"I've already gotten an invite close to her, to them both really, but the male twin... He's already gaining Gheyo tendancies." Keiran said smugly. "They asked us to wait for 9am, as they've set a scheduale for them to help the twins blossom." As Keiran talked, a krystal bubble floated in, dropping a pair of Medical Files.
In the corner of the room, a portal medallion formed, a timer floating above it.
"Looks like tomorrow we will be busy" Alcandor stated "But who is going to entertain the male twin while you have serious talks with the little Guppy?" he asked.
"Why not drag Alec and Goonter into this, so that there's physical activity." Keiran shrugged.
"And who's going to be the one to tell him we will be going to meet land dwelling lost children that he is suppose to entertain?" Krymsen asked smirking.
"Whoever sees him first today, so most likely me." Keiran sighed. "But continuing, here's the memories relevant." He gave them to Alcandor, then Krymsen.
"She has Aqua'kin'e Pride that is for sure," Alcandor said as he looked at Krymsen. "And she is going to be hell to deal with when it comes to Runes in short order from the Questions she is already asking," He finished looking at Keiran.
"That is true, and that's why I'm preemptively asking you to join me, you and Krymsen both." Keiran stated respectfully.
"I will say she has a brilliant mind that if her twin is already training his body like a Gheyo might just be as brilliant but in tactics and fighting eventually, I do want to meet these two and see if they would allow me to be Uncle Krymsen like I should have been all these years already," Krymsen stated. He did not want to miss out on anything else from here on out. "I understand they might never live beneath the waves but I will do what I can to make it work with them," Krymsen stated glad to not be the only one left of his family line.
Keiran nodded to Krymsen. "I will make sure to get you the chance."
"We both will, If I have to take days off so you can visit them I'll do it so you won't have to worry about my safety at all," Alcandor stated as he looked at his bonded ACE.
"And what of your Queen?" Keiran reminded.
"What about me Keiran?" Killigan asked as they swam into the room and floated themselves over to Alcandor and settled into his lap.
Alcandor smirked and made a nod for Keiran to continue.
"There's a pair of twins, Lost Merrow children, who were rescued, one is a budding Runes Mistress, the other is a Gheyo in the makings." Keiran answered, "But Krymsen is the only Full Merrow Family member left, to our knowledge. He's wanting to be able to take a day every once and awhile to be the uncle for them that he should have been."
"Why not bring them beneath the waves?" Killigan asked even half Aqua'kin'e could breath underwater. "Or is there more im not understanding, and with Krymsen being their uncle he would be their legal guardian yes?" Killigan asked tilting their head slightly in question.
Keiran pointed the the now two different Medical Files on the desk.
Killigan read through the files then growled. "If they don't take rights we will," they said fiercely. "They should never have been left like they were, We would have taken them if we had known about them," they said looking at Krymsen. "It might have meant you never became Crimson Tide but you would have brought two beautiful children back into our culture," they said
"I want to meet them as well," Killigan stated with a Grin that bared to many teeth.
"We both cant leave the waters to meet them love," Alcandor said.
"I'd like anyone to try and stop me from meeting these two," Killigan stated glaring at Alcandor.
"I don't think I'd have a chance either way." Keiran muttered.
Krymsen looked at Alcandor. "We will just go as a circle, Don't think to hard about it, lets go enjoy meeting my niece and Nephew." he said.
--Arythmoor Estate, Circle Meeting Room--
Zhongli sat Xanthel at the troublemakers couch, before he set off the bell, calling everyone who was home into the meeting.
The room filled slowly as people came from all ends of the house, except for the children. "Luminaria entered Mariposa's room, I believe they're snuggling." Silver said, having been getting the twins awake enough to get ready for bed.
Xanthel was grateful that Luminaria was taking so well to the twins even if they were not going to stay around as often as she would like. He looked up at everyone that entered and sighed. He never wanted to be here and now he had to defend his actions to the whole Circle.
"Zhongli? You've never called the Meeting Bell before, and Xanthel....?" Aiden looked angry, yet confused.
"Xanthel, you start, because you're the one in trouble for breaking our most sacred rule: No Secrets." Zhongli informed.
Xanthel sighed and ran a hand across his face as he felt his age. "It was never meant to be a secret or remain untold as long as it had been, I meant to tell in the early stage of all of us getting screamed in but I didn't know exactly how to broach the subject, you all knew I had other partners before the scream but no one ever... questioned if there were children," He said pausing as he stared at his hands. "I have been looking for two children as long as you all have known me, since before the scream happened. I had the Troop trying to help me find them as well. It got to a point that I was convinced that the bonds I felt were phantom bonds and my sweet children never existed," He said as he felt his shoulders drop. "So time kept passing and leads dried up and I had to burry the part of my heart that they held without ever holding them because from as silent as the bonds were I could not tell if they had just snapped without me feeling the pain or what had happened to them since they could not be found." Xanthel stated as he leaned back and tried to not feel as old as he was or as ashamed of what he had done.
Ewan was silent, his eyes focused on the Joker. "Harry and Mariposa are those children, aren't they?" He asked, breaking the heavy silence that had filled the room.
Xanthel nodded not trusting himself to speak, looking at the ground again.
Everyone in the room exchanged looks, frowning, but this was big. "I think that at this point, we can't blame him too much." Neuvillette spoke up. "He's given a valid point, no matter how heavy it was, I still think he does need to be punished, but reduced to minimal because of the events surrounding our Scream formed Circle."
"I think one night of Solo watch will suffice." Silver eventually said. "Neuvi's right, this isn't normal circumstances, and we did each fail to ask the key question."
Amina nodded. "I agree to it, but the watch will be allowed to be prepared for."
"Yes, not tonight, but tomorrow night." Ewan said. "Then he's going with Silver, Zhongli, Xiao and the Twins as back-up."
"I will agree with that." Zhongli said, tilting his head.
Xanthel looked up as he processed what everyone said. He looked at Zhongli, His submissives, Neuvillette and Amina. He couldn't believe they were forgiving the years of silence.
"I'm not satisfied for the silence with this, but... I will bow my head to the whims of our Submissives." Aiden said. "But now it is the demand: If you can't find children you're supposed to be caring for you ASK for help, even if it's just me, Zhongli or our Submissives. Don't go to just your Troop, we are a circle. You don't need to go this alone."
Xanthel nodded understanding. He wished he could have found a way to have talked with Aiden at least about the twins. He took a deep breath as a weight he had been shouldering seemed to lift now that the twins were in their lives and now were safe.
Silver sighed, before she looked over at Childe. "Childe, my Fiesty Beta?"
"I'm dissapointed with Xanthel, but I can understand." Childe said, having kept quiet until then. "This is similar to my three guiding stars, though we can't get them." He gave a sad hum at the reminder.
Xanthel looked at Childe. "If you come up with a way to save them and I can help let me know and we will get them out, "He offered to Childe he was not happy he had upset so many but he was glad that they were all willing to move past the unintentional secret. He could not understand how Childe still functioned with the weight of his three being so far away and in unknown health.
"Now that has finished... Xanthel, up, Zhongli into the chair." Silver said.
"Zhongli? What did he do?" Childe asked, confused.
Xanthel bolted from the chair giving it to the next troublemaker and went to lean against a wall unless someone pulled him to them.
Zhongli sighed. "I'm not, but I will take the chance to say that we'll have Merrow guests in the morning, possible a Royal contingencie."
"What happened?" Silver asked, an eyebrow raising.
"Our Little One is a Runes Mistress, possibly a Rune Singer at minimum." Zhongli said.
Childe hummed. "She noticed something about what the Merrow provided, and they got a 'Get over here now' Message... didn't they."
"Yes, then proceeded to toe the line of Royal Seals multiple times, to the point that Prince Raspen was wincing at her question to him." Zhongli answered.
Silver groaned. "And now the message I got from Patrick and Marianna makes so much more sense."
Zhongli gave her a smirk. "There was a Cunningham there."
Xanthel then thought about that then added "And she might have shown her prodigy nature in front of them when I asked for an array for my work, She put one together in 5 runes that I swear would have taken him probably twice as many. And that was after giving him 4 new shadow runes and their meanings if i remember correctly. " Xanthel had a warm proud tone to his voice.
All heads, except for Zhongli, snapped to Xanthel. "That is true. Xiao has a hilarious memory, but I know he's done people-ing for today."
"So how are we going to see this hillarious memory if he's done people-ing for the day then Alpha?" Xanthel asked.
Zhongli smirked. "What will you give me for it?"
Xanthel's eyes narrowed. "Not gut you while on watch for one,"
"Xanthel..." Ewan warned.
Xanthel huffed. "A new decorative hair tie for your turnout hand made by me," He offtered Zhongli.
"Hmmm..." Zhongli thought. "Tempting, but not enough."
Xanthel looked at him. "And a set of buttons of a special design and matching cufflinks," adding to the offer.
"Deal, but only for you." Zhongli said, holding out his hand.
Ewan huffed. "Alpha-mine, Why did you choose now for Fae Rules?"
"Because I'm petty." Zhongli shrugged.
Xanthel took the memory then smirked and said "He is a dragon don't forget that, and a dragon God at that, nothing is truly free with him."
Silver hummed. "So your choice of Play on one of my nights would be a good trade?"
Zhongli's pleased rumble said enough. "Only for you." He intoned.
Silver chirred, pleased.
Childe tapped his leg. "Memory for Harry's fight?"
Zhongli's eyes sparked. "Memory exchange?" He rumbled. "Yes please." He gave Silver and Childe the memory, and recieved one in turn.
Aiden grumbled. "A quadrple budget for teas and water for your shop, so that the rest of the circle can have the memory."
Zhongli mock thought about it. "Hmmm....." He playfully said, but everyone already knew: It was a deal. "Now bedtime."
-- Day 4 Nevarah, Arythmoor Manor --
Silver knocked on Mariposa's door, they had their morning routine, but it was just shortly before she brought them down to the beach.
"Come in," Mariposa called back as she put her book to the side.
Silver slipped into Mariposa's room. "Butterfly, I saw what happened yesterday. The amusing beginning as Zhongli said."
"I see, I remained polite even though I did not know whom i was speaking to," Mariposa said worriedly.
"Oh, I'm not mad. I'm proud of you, Butterfly." Silver said. "So very proud."
Mariposa blushed a bit. "I am glad I was able to not embarrass you or Zhongli," she said softly.
"Where's the PapaLi? He's gonna pout. His hearing is very good." Silver whispered, like it was a giant secret.
"I love Papa Li he shouldn't be sad, He and you make me feel so safe and loved, I'm so much happier here I know, I don't have to hide how much i love to read," She said softly as she looked at silver. She worried that Zhongli would be sad and it would be all her fault.
Silver booped her nose. "I'm teasing you lightly, Butterfly, except for the hearing part, that's true."
Mariposa looked at Silver then nodded and smiled softly as she hugged Silver. "I just didn't want there to be any misunderstandings, he is Papa li but he is also Zhongli when its serious talk and when its super serious he is Ambassador Lapis right?" she asked clarifyingly.
"It is, but on Terra, or Earth, it's Mr. Morax. Alright?" Silver said.
"So back where the inn is its Mr. Morax? He has a lot of names doesn't he? Or just one super long one with titles added to the front," Mariposa said
"I have titles, and many names, I've only shared all of them once, Little One." Zhongli said from the doorway.
"your favorite title is Papa isn't it," Mariposa asked a cheeky grin on her face.
"Indeed it is." Zhongli told her, opening his arms for a hug.
Mariposa smiled and ran to him and hugged him. She didn't want him to be sad because to her he was her papa. "You're always my papa regardless of who else comes into our lives," she said in whisper to him.
"That's fine." Zhongli murmured, kissing the top of her head.
Mariposa stood there and opened her arm back to Silver.
Silver huffed, but the smile said more, as she joined their hug. "I love you, Butterfly. You're ours."
"i just don't know what to call you Silver, I don't want to take Mum from Harry, I have seen how much he lights up using it i don't want to interfere with that," she said softly.
"Pick a language, Neverah would say Mera, French would say Maman, Spain would use Madre, Italians would use Mama. There's many options to use, and I'm open to them all, Butterfly." Silver said.
"Maman would probably be best, with us going between here and Earth," Mariposa said "And if we start to learn French it would make sense right?"
Silver hummed thoughtfully. "Yes, that would be a good idea."
"Do we have any waterproof notebooks? I don't want to ruin my normal notebook at the waterside," Mariposa asked curiously.
"If you hand me your notebooks then I can easily add the waterproofing now." Silver said. "It's inactive charm we have on all of them."
"We plan for the trips to the beaches on propertiy." Zhongli explained further. "It's rather handy for those of us who prefer reading."
Mariposa smiled as she went to grab the notebook off her desk and brought it over to Silver. "I do have a question though, is magic different here?" she asked as she watched Silver.
"It is, in the matter of how the spells are cast. Beings made purely of Magic are therefore we do not really need a focus to cast, we just have them for the more inticate or mentaly draining spells." Zhongli said as Silver activated spells.
"Oh, but because I'm young i need more training to tap into my magic right? I will be able to cast like Silver in the future though right?" Mariposa asked.
Silver nodded. "If you're as stong as I am you won't even need the motions, just the will."
"is there a way to test that before we go to school? or should we wait until we come home for a break?" Mariposa asked
"It's best to wait for Winter break at your school, as it gives us the opertunity to see how your cores will react to Magic Use." Silver said, handing back the notebooks.
Mariposa nods taking the notebooks back. "So is it time to go?"
Silver casts her spell to check the time. "Yes, Harry is already on his way there, so we will be arriving just in time."
Mariposa smiled as she grabbed her beach bag with her towel and placed her notebook inside it as well. She looked at her book but remembered this was her chance to talk with Keiran about the runes a bit more in depth. "I shouldn't need a book if im talking with Advisor Keiran right," she asked turning back to Silver and Zhongli.
"Take it wth you just in case, as he might need to see which set you're talking about." Silver said.
"Okay, can you proof them against water?" Mariposa asked as she grabbed the three books she was reading through.
Silver easily checked what was needed, then added a few spells. "Alright, now let's go before we're late."
Mariposa nodded as she added the books to her bag and closed it up and moved to follow Zhongli and Silver to the Beach where Harry was waiting. Once out there she saw her twin and rushed over to him and hugged him.
"Posa we just saw each other," Harry said but Mariposa didn't stop the hug.
"I know but, Im excited for the meet and greet, they said they would bring someone for you to hang out with so you wouldn't get bored listening to me ramble about runes," She said with a grin.
"Posa you....are amazing and Thank you," Harry said hugging her back as tightly.
Silver ushered Mariposa to the water. "Go stand in the water, about ankle deep. Zhongli and I will be a few steps behind you."
"Okay," the twins said as they went to the water and they both felt the brush against their ankles from the water itself.
Silver and Zhongli waited behind them, the rest of the present circle, including a new face behind them.
It only was another two minutes before Keiran surfaced. "Hello little Guppy," He said greeting Mariposa. "I ended up bringing a few more than just the companion for your twin today, let me introduce them," He said as four people rose out of the waters.
"This is ..."Keiran started as a deep voice said "Just names no titles," which got a nod from Keiran.
"Alcandor, his bonded Killigan and Krymsen, as well as Alcandor's Cousin Alec," Keiran said as they all came up to the beach.
"Come, just further down the beach, we have some chairs that will cater to Aqua'Kin'e comforts." Zhongli calmly, motioning to the open umbrellas that casted a touch of shade over the waters as the sun warmed the sands.
The group, with little protest, moved down the shoreline, to where chairs were set both in the water, and just out of it. There was also a little dug out bank for the children to set at the edge of the water, yet dip their toes if they wanted.
Mariposa found her way to the shaded bank for her that had an adult chair beside it in the water. She smiled and set her bag beside her slightly back so that she could reach it but still protect the books from the water.
Alec rolled his eyes at the thought of entertaining the little land walker. He really didn't know why he was being dragged into this and he should have just stayed back with Goonter but Alcandor dragged him up here. "Oh goodie I get to babysit the landwalker brat," He muttered as he passed Mariposa.
Mariposa acted on instinct and drew into the sand the runes she needed then threw the magic into it and it sent the ground under alec to launch him out into the water. "Who needs someone with Kelp for brains that cant be nice," She said as she then raked through the runes so it wouldn't get activated again.
"Mariposa..." Silver repermaned. "We do not throw Guests, even if it's into their Element."
Mariposa looked at silver with determined watery eyes. "He deserved it and i will take any punishment i earned," she said not letting her tears drop.
Silver sighed. "We will discuss your punishment later, but it will happen."
Zhongli lightly squeezed Mariposa's shoulder. "Silver is right, we do not throw Guests."
"Alec was being rude, so I say that it can be left alone with a warning." Killigan inputed, attempting to smooth things over. "If he hadn't been rude, we would have asked you to square it away now or left. As such, a warning for her is all we seek."
Alcandor nodded. "If he was insulting her or her twin, what he got was mild compared to what he could have gotten, though we will say if he doesn't get back up here in two minutes he will be punished when we get home," he stated so Alec couldn't take the launch as a reason to leave the meeting area.
Alec's head poked out of the water as he then moved to the water seating area. "I still don't get why he cant come into the water and I have to go on land," He grumped.
Mariposa stood up from her seat and walked a little closer to him. "I'll show you why," she said as she walked until she had to bounce to surface.
Zhongli, the ever doting father, pulled her back before she could exhaust herself. "Don't do that, Little One, without warning."
"I didn't mean to scare you papa li, I wasn't trying to go where I couldn't touch and get back to where i could easily, thank you for bringing me back in," She said hugging his neck. "But to put into words the reason, We. CANT. Swim!"
Alec was stunned at the little guppy's actions and how she risked herself to show him the facts before saying it. Maybe she was right and he had kelp for brains right now. "Fine," he grumpily said as he moved to see how screwed his interactions with the twin would be now.
"You could have been nicer, I've never seen anyone get my sister that angry," Harry said as he looked at the Teenage Aqua'kin'e before him. "Now lets go run some laps," He said grinning.
Krymsen slowly moved out of the water. "I will run with you both." He rumbled, but also to keep control over Alec's mouth.
Mariposa looked at Keiran and took a deep breath. "It was regretful that you had to see me lose my temper like that Advisor Keiran," she said "But I would love to start the reason for the visit, the conversation on runes," she said diplomatically.
Keiran settled into the chair beside her. "Which set are we working with, Little Guppy?"
"I'd like to continue our discussion on Aqua'kin'e runes if you don't mind, I know yesterday we had to leave with a question unanswered of was part of the rune set lost of the Aqua'kin'e runes and how the "Landwalker" Aqua runes don't like being secluded," Mariposa said.
Keiran hummed, his eyes spying Zhongli, Alcandor, and Killigan setting together. "It is a most likely thing, as I took last night to try and find the answer, but I've run into a Royal Seal, so it needs to be lifted for me to see. Did you happen to finish that one Array?"
"The answer we more than likely will find is positive to my question since the runes already feel sad or angry, but no the medical procedure made me really sleepy afterwards so I didn't get to finish it," she stated "But I do think that the Nautical spiral would be...."
"Stop." Keiran said. "The Nautical Spiral is Royal Private use, and isn't supposed to be known by Civilians, Little Guppy."
"oh, it just was one of the things i remembered the Nautical shell and how pretty it was and connected to the waters so I wasn't sure if it was an array here and was willing to talk theory out to see if someone with skills could make it work, I.....I don't mean to break so many rules," Mariposa said feeling small.
"As you're a Monse, it will most likely allow you to privately use it, as your Clan Head is Bonded of our Royal." Keiran skirted the names, but still gave her a moderately straight answer. "However, it will be restricted to you, your twin, and that's it, unless you have more Aqua'Kin'e Bonded."
Mariposa blinked as he explained. "I still feel like I am stepping in over my head a lot when I try to talk about runes, I read, I learn and I try to understand but i run into so many seals on the concepts i need explained," taking a moment to think. "Like when I layered the Aqua'kin'e rune over the earth rune to launch Alec, It was simple and quick but it requires these two runes, " she said sketching them carefully in her notebook. "And it has to line up perfectly," she added as she finished the sketch of the two runes side by side. The runes translated to Ground and Splash up.
Keiran hummed, "That typically doesn't allow for use, even when perfectally aligned, unless you have an affinety for both types of Runic Magic, I would only be able to use half of that Rune Splice as you used an Aqua'Kin'e Rune. I would need a store of Earth Magic to be able to use the second half as it'd fight my inherent Water Magics." He explained. "If you were to set a Storm Rune in front of me, I might be able to use it, depending on the Rune, but its why Cross-Elemental Runic Languages are rare, and often Treasured above All Else, especially their Creators." He further explained, teaching her as he knew she'd listen. "The only Array that I know of that's around still is All Elemental Royal Sealed, so I can not say more."
As Keiran explained Mariposa was taking notes. "So only people with the right combination of affinities could have done what I did?" she asked clarifying.
"Without stores of other Magic-types, yes. It's rare for people to have more than three or so Elemental Affinities, anything beyond that is generally a Nameless, and to have all in equal Measures? You'd then be called a True Nameless." Keiran taught her, even enjoying the chat as snacks were set beside him, proper Aqua'Kin'e Snacks, though the safe ones as he noted her snack plate right next to his. "There's only a handful currently on the Sanctuary, and even then, the only ones to flaunt are Vanity Submissives. So there's probably a handful more than we know." He didn't see the smirk that Zhongli had, which had neatly corallated with his own Political conversation with Alcandor.
"So, would it be normal to test Magical affinities by trying to activate a series of runes? Say one that just glows when magic is applied nothing else to keep it safe for age ranges," Mariposa asked curiously.
Alec had caught part of the conversation that Keiran was having as they passed. Why would a land walker know Aqua'kin'e runes. "How would she even know Aqua'kin'e runes if she cant even swim? She couldn't have used our runes," he huffed out.
"Keep moving, Alec. Both of these two are of my Clan." Krymsen said calmly, seething internally at the insult. "Double your pace."
Alec gaped at the Gheyo taskmaster and whine as he tried to move faster for said Gheyo. He couldn't believe that these two were related to Krymsen, it made no sense!
"We are?" Harry asked a little winded but his eyes sparkling. "Maybe you can help us learn to swim," He said genuinely happy.
"Monse Clan." Krymsen answered Harry, a small spark of Pride in his eyes. "Go soak in the Sea, ten minutes." He dismissed Harry for a short break.
Harry nodded and went to sit down in the water near Zhongli and Silver for his ten minute soak. He sighed as he felt the water on his skin as he laid back.
Zhongli paused for a moment, reaching over to Harry to move the sand to keep his head above water. "How long do I need to time you?"
"Krymsen usually gives young Gheyos 10 minutes to soak between tasks to not over strain muscles." Killigan answers, taking a moment from her conversation with Silver to answer.
"That's good, but we will need to keep an eye out as well, as Harry's looking a little red." Silver hummed.
"Krymsen is very good at that, even a bit overprotective of family. I'm sure he'll ask to have a locator dropped to visit them at school." Killigan snickered.
"Yeah 10 minutes dad," Harry confirmed for Zhongli.
"Zhongli, I've already started the timer." Silver said, before she relaxed back, returning to her conversation over jewelry and shiny things with Killigan.
Zhongli turned his attention back to Alcandor, and their own Political talks, much to the girls amusement.
Mariposa was writing out a few notes from the topic that she and Keiran was talking about when she reached out to grab a snack and over reached her plate and grabbed one of Keiran's and ate it on autopilot before anyone could stop her. Her eyes lit up as she looked at her snack. "That's really good, can i have more?" she asked looking up from her notes.
Keiran blinked in surprise of the now missing piece of spiced seaweed. "Let's let your body process that a bit more." As a gentle spell whispered over Mariposa.
"No ill-effects. I'll get her some for her own plate, but after she finishes this plate." A Royally relaxed elf said, his eyes half-cracked from his spot in the dark shade of the trees.
"it was good with just a pop of heat at the end like Xingling's snow plum dumplings," she said then returned to her own snack and continued writing.
Alec was huffing and panting by the time he finished his lap. "Water please ill be dried fish if i don't get water soon," he whined. "And i have Goonter to take care of," he added.
"Aren't you a pretty sea dragon," Mariposa said as Goonter's head ended up in her lap where she scratched his scales on his head.
'Pretty Guppy! Nice Guppy! Lots Prey! Show Pretty Guppy!' Goonter roared softly.
"I can't swim though fierce Sea Dragon," Mariposa replied to him.
'Carry Guppy!' Goonter snorted.
"Have to ask papa Li first he might ask to come with would that be okay?" Mariposa asked.
'Too many Big people, Sharp pointy can come!' Goonter snuffled her skin.
"What does Sharp pointy look like? So i can address the right person?" Mariposa asked back giggling at the snuffles.
'Big Blue, strong muscles, running on dry with Guppy-shark.' Goonter bumped lightly.
"Okay I'll ask all the bigs if its okay, then ill let you know," Mariposa replied to Goonter before turning to Zhongli.
"Little One." Zhongli rumbled, pulling her into a cuddle, and away from the little dragon.
"papa li what's wrong? I was just going to ask if Goonter could take me for a swim with Mr. Krymsen," Mariposa said all innocently in English again.
"Ah so I was hearing a conversation." Zhongli hummed
"Yes, Why wouldn't it have been a conversation? couldn't everyone hear it?" she asked curiously
'Stone-Lord Guppy Sire?' Goonter crooned, sniffing at them both, 'Not Sire, Nest Granter.'
Zhongli grumble and growled back, answering Goonter. 'Nest Granter, will be Sire if Butterfly seeks.'
Mariposa looked at Zhongli with wide eyes asking if that was actually possible.
'Better Sire, better than foul bird.' Goonter agreed.
Zhongli gave her a warm smile. "Take a week or two to very seriously think on it, this would not be done lightly or in rush."
Mariposa nodded. She then reminded him of the Question. "So would it be okay if Krymsen and Goonter took me out into the water?" She asked curiously.
"I wouldn't mind, but get permission from Alcandor first to play with his Familiar." Zhongli replied, slightly amused by Goonter squirming in excitement.
Mariposa looked at Alcandor. "Would you mind if I went into the waters with Goonter and Krymsen?" She asked innocently with hopeful eyes.
Alcandor looked at the little child and thought about it then turned to Goonter. "I will scale you if anything happens to her, We also do not know if she can breath underwater so Krymsen will be maintaining a spell on her to allow her to breath so if he tells you to surface with her Do not Argrue!" he said firmly to his familiar.
'Dumb Master! Protected by Kesmer's Blessings! Wasted strength!' Goonter roared, unhappily.
Mariposa reached out and touched Goonter. "It's okay Goonter, they just want me safe is all they didn't know about....Kesmer? blessing they don't know its not needed, let the silly bigs have their safety for the guppy," she said to sooth Goonter.
Zhongli hummed softly. "A blessing from Kesmer?"
That drew everyone's attention. "Kesmer has blessed her?" Keiran broke the silence first.
"It's what Goonter has said, but also it'd waste strength." Zhongli answered.
Alcandor looked at everyone then said "Some partial Aqua'kin'e when they are uninherited can breath temporarily in water when they voluntarily enter water, or in case of emergencies even, but we've never heard of it being a blessing." He was shocked but glad to learn something new.
"Krymsen stop torturing the poor boy and come over here," Alcandor called out.
Harry who had been told his time was up saw the sea dragon near his sister and eyes sparkled as he moved to get closer. "you can understand him Posa?" Harry asked as he looked at his twin.
"Yeah, you cant?" Mariposa asked cautiously. "Not clearly, its like listening to a thick accent," Harry admitted.
'Guppy's Brother? Brother-made. Magic-Made. Not strong enough yet, little lionfish.' Goonter snuffled Harry, but ultimately dismissing him. 'Needs Big-Fighter blood before he joins.'
Zhongli couldn't help the snarl. "He is mine just as much as little Guppy is."
'Drink boost, not replace.' Goonter hissed back.
Mariposa looked at Harry and talked to him softly translating for him while he listened as well. "So like when Mum helped me the other day?" harry asked slipping into Parsel.
"Harry, Mariposa, an explanation for the rest of us non-speakers?" Silver asked.
'Blood tie boost, need Big-Fighter before you join.' Goonter grumbled unhappily.
"If Krymsen doesn't mind, Goonter is trying to get Harry to drink from him to allow a deeper connection to his Clan." Zhongli finally understood.
Mariposa looked at Silver a little shocked. "what do you mean? we were speaking English," she said confused.
Harry nodded then looked at Zhongli and said "I wouldn't mind if he allows it and it allows me to go out with Posa," he grinned excited for another adventure he could share with his twin.
"If I am allowed to go out with Goonter and KRymsen that is," Harry said looking back at Alcandor.
"As long as you follow Krymsen's directions and do the boosting drink that Goonter has said you need.," Alcandor said.
Krymsen nodded, coming closer to Harry. "You may." He murmured, using a claw to carefully open a vein to drink from, offering it to Harry.
Harry then smiled at huge happy grin at Krymsen as he took a drink then pulled back at the rush of magic he felt. "Whoa," he said grabbing onto Mariposa for stability.
"Okay Harry?" Mariposa asked.
"Just a head rush lots of magic," Harry said as he let it settle a moment.
'Lionfish is good, great strength, needs to settle but can join now.' Goonter rumbles. 'Guppy ready? Wanna play!'
Mariposa put her books away and took off her swim cover to reveal the pretty purple and blue swim dress she had on underneath.
Krymsen ushered both children into the water, carefully keeping them above water long enough for him to get fully submerged. He rumbled happily at the element swirling around him, now feeling Kesmer's attention to the Guppys. He gave a light squeeze in warning before he let them sink under the waves.
Harry and Mariposa took a moment to just relax, it was not hard for them to override the normal panic that comes from not being able to swim and going under. They had years of training themselves to have abnormal reactions to dangerous situations. Mariposa took her first breath underwater and grinned at how different it was. Harry took his breath and looked at his sister and grinned back.
"This is wicked," Harry said as he looked at Krymsen for instructions.
"But I still feel less like Ariel because I cant swim" Mariposa pouted as she looked at Harry. She had loved Ariel when she had found out about her because she had pretty red hair like she did.
Krymsen let go for a moment, letting them orient themselves, as Goonter slowly swam up to them.
'Guppy ready? Guppy sees pretty home!' Goonter swirled in loops around them, even as a watery wisp, different from the rest of the waters, joined them.
"Little Angelfish, look." Krymsen nudged Mariposa gently, pointing out the wisp.
Mariposa looked at the wisp that he was pointing out. "It's different then the rest of the water how?" she asked as she looked at Krymsen.
'Kesmer! Water Master! Nest Maker long ago. Greeted Hooded Lady, made Deal to watch over Nest.' Goonter crooned, nuzzling the wisp.
"That is the Casper Kesmer. He greets every Returned, and in your case, Blesses them, easing their way if they're found soon enough." Krymsen murmured.
"We have family on land that wants to know us too, it's going to be tough to balance both sides," Mariposa said thinking about it. "but Goonter is excited to see Kesmer," She said laughing a bit at his antics.
Goonter's attention returned to Mariposa and Harry, before swirling over to them, bringing the wisp with him. 'Kesmer Speaks: Welcome Home, Always Welcome Land or Sea, Welcome beneath the Waves, Even if Fire.'
Krymsen looked at the twins for explination.
"Kesmer says welcome home and that we are welcome land or sea beneath the waves even if we inherit fire," Mariposa said as she looked at Harry shocked.
"So we wont be turned away," Harry said grinning.
The wisp of the Spirit touched Krymsen's head. "*They will be welcome, always, this Blessing I give to you, is in case they inherit as Fire, so that you may not be adverse to them. When I leave in a moment, catch the Pearls, they're locators so that you may visit them off realm.*" The voice crashed through Krymsen's mind. "*It is MY Proclimation that they're Aqua'Kin'e, Fire or not. Returned One always are.*"
As the wisp pulled away Krymsen said " I will make sure your will is known to everyone," With his acknowledgement the wisp vanished and Krymsen caught the pearls that he had been told about. The pearls themselves were blue-violet with silver veining in the shape of the Monse crest.
"So what are we doing now that we know we can breath underwater?" Mariposa asked as she saw harry walk to look at something not far from where they had landed in the sand bar.
"Swimming lesson, Angelfish." Krymsen answered, before he swam over to Harry, giving him a stern look.
"I wasn't going to touch just look," He said softly as he turned around and went back to Mariposa's side.
Krymsen hummed, following. "Since you can breathe underwater, I'll start to teach you how to swim."
"Alright!" The twins said together smiling at their uncle. They then were taught the basics of Swimming, it would take practice for them to gain any kind of speed but after a bit they returned to the surface at the sand bar.
"I believe I wore them out, but they have a good handle on the basics of swimming, letting them get as much water time would be beneficial for them and with their blessings it might be needed as it could bring their more Aqua'kin'e attributes closer to the surface even pre inheritance," Krymsen said as he helped the twins find a seat on the sand bar near the adults.
"While we were under the waves, Kesmer did gift the three of us something priceless," Krymsen started.
Alcandor felt his eyebrow raise but said nothing worried it would slow down the flow of information.
"Well out with it," Killigan said.
"It was a two fold gift, the first He proclaimed that they're Aqua'Kin'e, Fire or not. Returned One always are and should they inherit as fire dragel he is allowing me to not feel the ill effects of fire being near me, The second were these pearls that would allow me to reach their side should there be need, Locator pearls gifted by Kesmer himself," Krymsen said letting it soak in.
"ooo Lets turn them into jewlery" Killigan suggested immediately.
Krymsen thought about it as he looked at the twins. "What would you want, Earrings, Necklace, bracelet or arm cuff?"
Mariposa thought about it then looked at Harry. "I wouldn't mind a pair of Earrings, they would be my first and possibly only pair." She said hopeful. "It would also keep the pearl safe from disappearing because of a broken clasp or someone yanking on it," She added. Harry nodded.
"Earrings would be practical for both of us, Harry?" Krymsen asked for his opinion to see what the young boy was thinking.
"If I am going to be training more, probably should go practical too," Harry said grinning not caring he might be the only one with pierced ears.
"Three pairs then," He said as he thought about it and pulled out three Aquasteel Daggers. "We can use these to be the base for the earrings to house the pearls. Using these they wont rust and water wont affect them," Krymsen said laying them out,
"You would exchange them to be made into earrings, then? For the safety of these two?" Zhongli began, a glow starting in his eyes.
"At minimum, as Family, bonded or blood, come first." Krymsen stated, his own eyes glowing in answer.
Alcandor looked up at Krymsen and nodded "Family is always first," he echoed his bonded ACE.
Zhongli gave a pleased rumble. "I will forge them, as so it would not be in hands that aren't known to us-" Here he paused to motion to his own circle- "So we may be able to add more of our own protections as well, which would naturally include your pair as well, as a thank you."
"Their protection is first and foremost, I would never deny extra protections for them," Krymsen said looking at Zhongli.
"As all children should be." Zhongli intoned.
"Zhongli is being cryptic, be he's also saying that yours would hold the same level of protections, or we could divert it to an extra pair, should it be viable, to a bonded." Silver said.
"As an ACE and the potential to be the Crimson Tide all extra Protections would have to be removable for me so having them on something extra would be fine but not in the Earrings themselves, The only exceptions when we reclassify is items tied to children that would bring us to them, those are never removed, but if they have extra protections i would be forced to remove them," Krymsen explained.
"Then how would you like the extras?" Zhongli asked.
"An arm cuff would be best I feel, could be gently resized down and up without strain," Krymsen said.
"Very well. So it shall be." Zhongli finished, his eyes flashing brighter for a moment. "The Daggers and Pearls, please."
Krymsen nodded and handed over the three daggers and the three pearls.
As the pearls touched Zhongli's hand, they neatly split in half, making the Earrings a much easier process. "Expect a message bubble to come for them." Zhongli said, before he departed to Forge.
Krymsen nodded.
The rest watched in awe, as the Pareya brought out lunch.
Lunch was an arrangement of Sushi ranging from Terra style and safe for all to Merrow pallets only. Mariposa's eyes lit up as she looked at the spread before them as they were all called to a shaded table that would host everyone on the beach. She picked up her plate and handed Harry his as she smiled.
"It all looks so Delicious," She said as she took a piece of all the ones that caught her attention. It was when she got close to the Merrow pallet sushi that she was stopped. "Why don't you go eat that first, then see if you need more?" One of the Pareya said pausing her before she could grab one of the more mild types. Mariposa pouted as she saw Alec smirk and take the sushi she had been wanting to try and said "Too bad Guppy," As he popped a piece in his mouth and grabbed a second then went to walk away.
"If it would not get me into more trouble you would be out in the ocean again but you are not worth more punishment," Mariposa quipped back and turned her hair flicking over her shoulder with her turn and smacking Alec in the face.
Harry just stared at Alec. "Stop antagonizing her, its rude," He said before joining his sister at the second table to eat. The twins were on either side of Silver when they sat down.
Silver snickered soft. "Well done, Butterfly, Son."
Mariposa grinned as she looked at Silver. "So how do we eat this, I listened to what was in each and took the ones that sounded good," she said softly.
"Try to eat it in one bite per piece, as that way you can have the complete profile of the roll at once." Silver hummed, taking a bite of sushi as example.
Mariposa nodded as she did what Silver said and her eyes lit up as she tasted the first roll. IT was so good! "I need to learn how to make these," She said thinking about school.
Harry looked at Mariposa and smiled as he tried his first bite and too fell in love with the flavors they were presented. So the twins started to talk with each other about their favorites and suggesting the other try them if they hadn't.
Alec watched the twins get so animated about the sushi he grumbled as he looked at his uncle and his bonded. "What's so special about Sushi, its just the only way to eat what we like on land, without being stared at" He grumbled
Krymsen reached over, grabbing Alec's shirt. "Silence yourself before I put you through the Gaunlet for the week."
Alec paled he'd never been on Krymsen's bad side but this was bordering on serious if he was threatening the gauntlet.
Alcandor looked at Alec. "You have been digging yourself a deeper hole all day Alec, Why?" he asked as he put up a privacy bubble around his bonded, himself and Alec.
"They ," He began after taking his shirt out of the ace's hands. "Have been annoying all day, First the little female guppy has such a thin skin she threw me into the OCEAN, I thought we were guests!" he said crossing his arms.
"They are Rescued ABUSED children, they haven't been free for a week, two at most." Krymsen snarled. "Of course they're thin skinned, they're trying to find their new boundries!"
Alec glared. "No one thought to tell me? I would have tried harder to curb my snark I was just told we were going to landwalker Aqua'kin'e children!"
"BECAUSE I ASKED!" Krymsen shouted. "I wanted you to see them as people, before you got to know of the Abuse."
"I would have understood them better, you forget Crimson Tide, I barely made it out of my own abusive home!"
"And did you want to be know for your Abuse, or did you want to be 'Alec'?" Alcandor snapped into the conversation.
Alec rubbed his chest as he thought about it all. "I wouldn't have let it change anything but my Tongue you should have had faith in me," he grumped as he then took a bite of his food.
"We do have faith in you, Alec, except when it comes to your tongue with Landwalkers." Krymsen said, before sighing. "Now... When were you going to say that a Soulbond activated?"
Alec was startled by the sudden question about a soulbond. He sputtered as he got out the words "Do what now?"
"You're rubbing your chest, Alec." Killigan said, before diving into Soulbonds, the general feel and some of the signs that gave it away.
"I felt a little zap when i was launched into the ocean earlier but I didn't know what she had done with the runes so for all I knew she added a shock element to them besides the launching part, which thinking back was kind of cool that she could do that so quickly," he mumbled towards the end.
Alcandor, Killigan, and Krymsen looked at each other and sighed. "We have to inform Silver at least."
Alec looked at them "what? Why? We can't be sure it's what you think it is," He said trying so hard not to rub his chest but failing.
"That is exactly why we have to because an open soulbond is dangerous." Alcandor said, "If it's left open or unsealed, it can drive you mad or kill you because there's a chance you'll be too far apart for too much time."
Alec paled and nodded. He didn't want that. "Alright but how do we go about it without possibly telling her if she's not feeling it?" he asked.
"She can't, which is both a blessing and a curse." Krymsen sighed. "She has too many seals, and two of them are Soul Seals. Read this." Krymsen handed Alec Mariposa's report.
Alec felt sick when he read through everything. He was not happy she couldn't feel it but glad she couldn't at the same time. "So we just have to talk to her guardian and let her know that she has a chance of opening soulbonds but not feeling them on her side?" Alec asked as he handed the paper back to Krymsen.
"Yes, then we have to bring Mariposa in to see what both of you want to do, this is sacred, Alec, remember that." Alcandor said.
"I know uncle, I wouldn't reject her, I just haven't done anything to ender myself to her," Alec said realizing his trouble.
"That's why we will talk about it." Killigan admonished. "As to take that risk, that chance for her to know and understand, but to also know the risks."
Alec nodded because what else could he do, he had royally fucked up with his soulbonded even. HE didn't know if he would still have one at the end of this at all. Apparently his luck was testing him and he wasn't sure who held the winning hand this time. "Can we do it already, waiting does nothing but cause anxiety over if I'll have a soul bonded after this conversation or not," He said sighing.
Alcandor motioned Silver to join them.
Silver slipped into the Privacy bubble. "What's occured?"
"It seems my Nephew here activated a soulbond earlier today and didn't tell anyone," Alcandor stated neutrally.
Silver's eyebrows raised, her expression smoothing out into something neutral. "Oh, and which of my children of choice is it?"
Alcandor looked to Alec and motioned for him to explain.
"It would be the little runes guppy," Alec said as he tried to hold himself together a bit nervous actually talking to Silver. "I felt a little zap when she launched me into the waters when we first met," he explained.
Silver hummed, taking a deep breath through slightly parted lips. Her nose scrunched a bit, but she nodded. She waved Mariposa over, before motioning Harry to stay back.
Harry had noticed Silver had wanted Mariposa so he got her attention and when she waved her over and told him to stay back he frowned but sat back down and watched from where he was ready to rush over even though Silver was more than capable of protecting Mariposa.
Mariposa walked to Silver's side shivering a little when she passed into the Privacy bubble. "Is everything okay Maman?" She asked worried.
"Everything is relatively fine, if a bit unexpected." Silver answered. "Apparently Alec is your soulmate, which right now is a precarious bond. It needs either to be awknowledged, sealed or rejected, because it can hurt him, but not you with your Soul Seal in place. Leaving it as is... Its Not Done, as it can drive him crazy or kill him.... or he can come with us so that he can grow with you and you can learn with each other, as betrothed."
Krymsen gave Alec a considering look. "That would be.... more ideal, as it would also keep others off of her back, and be a safety net of protection."
Mariposa was shocked. Soulmate? Was that why he was so rude he didn't know how to express his emotions? This was a big decision, she didn't know what to do, she didn't think he had been rude enough to reject him which was a good thing, she also didn't know anything about soulmates. "Can you explain more about the paths i can take I won't reject him while he was rude he was not soul ripping rude," Mariposa said maturely.
Alec let out a breath he had been holding since everything was in her hands. He understood the sheer boulder he had avoided. "I appreciate the chance to show you I am better than today," he said as he tried not to feel nervous what fate he would have moving forward.
"So, the options are: you two can essentially marry, temporarily block his side of the Soulbond, or have him as an intended, or fiancé." Silver explained.
Mariposa Looked up at Silver as she held up a finger and said "Hold on Child marriage is illegal! I can't get married minimum age of consent is 16. How would it even be possible?" She squeaked.
The adults all broke into laughs for a second. "As both of you are over 10, but uninherited, it'd just be a hug to seal it closed." Alcandor answered, "But it's recommended for you both to wait, for sure."
Silver nodded. "So, with your reaction, and the fact you haven't been raised here, that leaves us with two options: Put him under a Soul Seal to protect him, or take him with us and have him as a betrothed, which would also keep people from offering to marry you later on." She scrunched her nose at this.
"Then I think the best thing would be for him to join us, I know seals are bad and not perfect right Maman,"Mariposa said making sure her information was correct.
"How they were done to you, Butterfly, is the wrong way to do this, but with how we would be doing Alec's is another matter. It's all about intent. The Soul Seal that we HAVE to remove from you is a noose around your Soul. Alec's would be a blanket wrap." Silver corrected.
"But it could still fail though, so letting us learn and grow together would be the best thing right? out of these two options a Seal would be a bandaid for a wound and him being close to me would be the cure?" she asked making sure she understood everything first.
"Close enough." Krymsen said, before he knelt down in front of her. "But know this: We wouldn't let it fail without making sure you'd be informed at least as He's yours, just as much as you're His."
Mariposa looked at Alec. "Do you want to go with me to school? It won't be in the waters you know and have been use to and will be surrounded by Landwalkers but you would get to know me and see who I will become without having to wait for me to visit every so often and you can protect me in your own way by being there," She offered Alec.
This was more than Alec expected, more than he hoped for. "I would like to protect you, if you'd let me." He answered.
Silver rolled her eyes amused. "We're going to be delayed at this rate, returning to the Inn." She sighed. "How much of a Landwalker can you look, Alec? We're in a danger zone, but for the Twins to bring their Family Inheritance- Financial and Heirlooms- the Twins need to stay until they pass a set of Exams in 5 Earth years."
Alcandor sighed. "Alec, this will be the biggest training for you, can you blend in with the landwalkers and not blow your cover while protecting your intended, You can show Silver your best Landwalking look and see if she can give you suggestions or pointers," He said knowing his cousin had wanted to get into spy work anyway so undercover work right now would be probably best and this high stakes would make him work hard.
Mariposa smiled and nodded to Alec.
Alec nodded in return, his glamor sliding into place. His skin became a pale milky white, his teal hair turning to a raven black, though he kept his natural hair texture- silky waves. "Well?" He had kept his bright blue eyes, but everything else looked like a Landwalker.
Mariposa looked at the changes and felt her cheeks warm up a bit. "It looks really good, Wh..What do you think will it hold up Maman?" she asked
Silver gave an amused smile. "I can definitely help keep it in place, if he wants."
Alec preened a bit, knowing he chose well in his colorings.
As they talked a bit more, a message bubble sped to Silver's side. "Lady Silver, Prince Perryton and Princess Dawne of the Air Courts requesting Immeadite Meeting."
Mariposa blinked as she looked at Silver. "That sounds important Should i go back to harry and finish eating then?" she asked.
Alec blinked, looking at Alcandor for if he want the younger Dragel to stay.
"Yes, Butterfly, go sit with your Twin, Alec, would you mind escorting her?" Silver asked, prompting him out as she had a feeling she'd have 2 more tag alongs, just by the voice alone.
Alcandor nodded to Alec that he could go as Silver asked. "Do you wish us to stay or go?" Alcandor asked as he looked at Silver.
"We do need to settle a betrothal agreement up for them, just so if people demand proof, that it does exsist, and with these twins.... They will." Silver couldn't help but rub her temples, the brewing headache growing more and more.
"I'll leave it for a bit later, so that we have a decent plan in place, and it can force accomodations for them." Alcandor said, a slight frown on his face. "Go ahead and bring the Air Crown Prince and Princess, so that we can put this fire out from the near panic in Prince Perryton's voice."
Silver nodded, before giving to two youngest a firm look. "Go."
Alec offered his arm to Mariposa, showing he has some manners. "My Lady." He murmured.
Mariposa felt shy a bit as she took his arm. She couldn't find anything to say right then as they walked back to her brother who was staring daggers at Alec.
Perryton and Dawne ported in, straight into the privacy bubble with Silver, Alcandor, Killigan, and Krymsen.
Killigan took one look at Perryton, and saw the near gray shade. "Al, my love, I'm going to leave this to you, I'll be with the guppies."
Silver tilted her head in acceptance.
"Alright love, Princess would you like to walk with my bonded?" Alcandor offered not sure she needed to stay for the current talk.
"Can I brother?" Dawne asked seeing three children at the table, two who looked her age and one a little older.
"Yes, Dawne, please go sit with the children." Perry said shakily.
"Okay, Brother, Love you, Pleasure to meet you," Dawne said to Killigan as she curtseyed and walked beside her.
Killigan returned the manners, guiding her to the children, whispering in Alec's ear for a moment.
Perry turned to Alcandor. "Thank you, your Highness, for letting me spare my sister a bit longer from the talk we're about to have."
"Children don't deserve the weight of politics and schemes when they can be spared even if its just a bit longer before a conversation must shatter the illusion, for a royal child any ways," Alcandor stated remembering the night his innocent look on life was ripped from him.
"I fortunately, if you agree to it, Lady Silver, might be able to spare her longer." Perry said, but his gray face said there was something else to be said. "I believe my mother, Queen Arista is becoming unfit to Rule, as she's trying to make Dawne a puppet. I've just barely got temporary custody of Dawne, but I need to remove her for a good while so that she can grow as a person first." Perry laid out why he was paniced.
"Prince Perryton, what do you mean that Queen Arista is becoming unfit to Rule?" Krymsen said, as his Oaths as a Blood Title kicked in. "I need everything you can give me as you have activated Blood Title Oaths."
Perry handed over the folder that he had, along with a memory transfer of his mother's interactions with Dawne that he has been able to see, along with the breaking point: Lady Peverell's discipline of Dawne.
Krymsen paled. "Lady Silver Ashwood of the Arythmoor-Lapis Circle, I, Krymsen Monse-Oceanus, Crimson Tide, request that you take Guardianship of Princess Dawne of the Air Court, and Protective Custody over Prince Perryton of the Air Court."
"I, Lady Silver Ashwood of the Arythmoor-Lapis Circle, take Guardianship of Princess Dawne of the Air Court, and Protective Custody over Prince Perryton of the Air Court until such a time that Prince Perryton is able to safely provide for them both or the need for Protective Custody and Guardianship is unnecessary." Silver intoned, pale as this was HUGE.
Alcandor sighed heavily. "I, King Alcandor of the Oceanus Circle, confirm that Lady Silver Ashwood of the Arythmoor-Lapis Circle will take Guardianship of Princess Dawne of the Air Court, and Protective Custody over Prince Perryton of the Air Court until such a time that Prince Perryton is able to safely provide for them both or the need for Protective Custody and Guardianship is unnecessary. I, also, proclaim Queen Arista under Investigation by Evidence from Prince Perryton of the Air Court given to Krymsen Monse-Oceanus, Crimson Tide."
"So Mote it be." All four intoned as one, causing a deep bell ring loudly across the Sancuary Realm, setting every one of the Gheyo on high alert. The Second Bell rung, Wind chimes- signifiying that the Air Royals. Then the Third Chime, the Origins: this time the sound of Conches echoed out, making the Gheyos everywhere pale even more. This signified that the Air Royals were now under investigation by the Merrow Court.
Alcandor looked at Krymsen. "Do work diligently and fast, I do wish to see you some nights," He said then turned to Silver. "Now that your guardianship has been solidified you should get them off realm quickly we will work with your Alpha to make the betrothal contract and if you need anything for Alec let us know,"
"I'll go to Killigan for Alec's needs as to not burden you. Prince Perryton, please tell me you have packed for a good long stay away from here?" Silver asked.
"Yes, I voidstoned our rooms so that we could leave immediately if possible, and to not leave anything to use against us. I made sure to leave my Royal Seal in the folder Crimson Tide holds." Perry said.
Silver nodded. "Good, that means it was surrendered at the time of Investigation, and they CAN NOT pin anything after this on you to incriminate you." She purred, pleased.
Alcandor looked at Perryton and nodded. "Good, like Silver said you will be safe now and if someone forges a copy of your seal we can prove it. This is going to be a nightmare," he said pinching his nose.
Krymsen looked at the folder and found the seal and nodded. "I have custody of the seal, It has been verified," he stated.
Perry slumped in relief. "Thank the Caspers." He whispered.
Silver hummed lightly. "Let's get moving." Soon the Privacy ward fell, and the two groups split in haste. "My Lot, plus Alec, with me! We're Terra bound in 2 hours max!" She called out. "A Pareya run ahead and leave the Note, and get Zhongli. Xiao!" She called, her voice Urgent and Unyeilding.
"Lady Lapis." Xiao appeared, kneeling in front of her.
"Terra portal in less than 2 hours, Prince Perryton and Princess Dawne are your charges until we get to Terra for Protection, Joker Xiao." Silver commanded. "Harry! Mariposa! Run and Pack your things!" She called out, and continued barking orders and the Arythmoor Estate was temporarily locked down tight, to where only Death Court members could enter.
Harry and Mariposa nodded and went to their rooms. They ran as fast as their legs could carry them. They packed the things that were safe to take back to Earth. Mariposa let herself hold her runes notebook as she tried to think if it would be safe but decided that since it was full of things she learned here she would leave it. "I will be back notebook don't get lonely," She said as she packed the books that Neuvillette had gotten her- just that morning- that she hadn't started yet. She packed them away too.
After a few moments, an adult bustled in. "I'm sorry, but for protection, I must check what you have packed." He quickly checked everything, before repacking it as she had settled it before. "Good job, Butterfly. Silver is in the Entrance Hall with your twin, Just tell her Vesper, and She'll understand." The Royal bearing Elf kissed her forehead before bustling off.
Mariposa nodded and walked quickly her legs feeling numb. She went back down to the entrance hall and saw Harry. "Im all good checked by Vesper," She said as she leaned on her twin a moment so she could rub her legs.
Silver chirped in approval, as she nuzzled her daughter like crazy, leaving as much scent on Luminaria as she could.
Alec was leaned against the wall, a new- temporary- ring on his finger until he was able to receive a custom made one for his safety. "Angelfish?" He was still in his glamor, but it was far more stable now.
Mariposa looked up and smiled. "I'm okay Alec, just haven't had to run in a while so my legs feel numb, overworked so just got to work the muscles so they won't try to knot," she explained.
Alec got off the wall, before moving to her. "Will you allow me to do so? So that your twin can hold you up. Just stop me when you're uncomfortable, then I'll switch out with you again."
"I....think you can go to the knees but the upper leg i should do myself," Mariposa said a bit flustered.
"Yeah nothing above the knees or I break fingers," Harry said as he held Mariposa against his side watching Alec like a serpent ready to strike.
"Fair enough, Lionfish." Alec agreed, he knelt down and massaged her muscles up to where she was comfortable giving each leg proper attention. By the time he finished everyone was ready to go.
Silver set down her Daughter. "Be good for Papa Aiden, Kitling. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Maman, but can't I come with you?" Luminaria pouted.
"No, baby, It's not safe for Hellcats your age, not until you can reach my level of control." Silver gave her one last hug.
"But what about PapaLi?" Luminaria asked, noticing that he wasn't with the group that consisted of Perry, Dawne, Alec, Mariposa, Harry, Xiao, Childe, Neuvillette, Xanthel, and now Silver.
"Childe and Neuvillette are coming with us to help Xiao watch over the store with Zhongli's permission. He's working on pretty things for Harry and Mariposa." Silver smiled. She blew a kiss to Luminaria, before Neuvillette called the Portal, taking the large group away.
--Howlette's Inn, Portal Room--
As the portal landed, Silver's eyes misted over, she didn't like leaving so fast, but a needs, a must. She turned to Harry, Alec, Mariposa, Perry and Dawne. "Before we leave this room, I must extract an Oath out of each of you. For our Sanctuary's Safety." She pulled out a piece of paper, the Oath written upon it.
'I, (name), (title if need), under no form, willing or unwilling, will give away the Sanctuary, nor it's Inner workings, location or means of arrival unless given leave by Lady Silver Ashwood until such a time the person can take this Oath, nor will I take someone there unless it is approved by her under this same Oath being extracted from them as well. May Lady Magic protect or Judge us in effort to do so to keep Our Sanctuary safe from those who would do Her or Her Residents harm on any level.'
The group of new arrivals paled, realizing how tight the Oath was, but also how much safety it would give them. Harry volunteered first, receiving a coaching.
"(Oath). So Mote it be." Harry said, hearing the last four words echoed by everyone, then watched as everyone who needed to take the Oath also took it. "Mum, if we have to wait for you to allow us to tell anything, then who keeps you from telling anyone?"
"Ah, that would be my entire circle in unanimous agreement." Silver informed, smiling when it dawned on them. "Wards of our Circle have a blanket permission to be brought to Sanctuary, but no further information is given until they either inherit as a Being, or until they chose to live there permanently, with the Oath for the visits with their Families should they have any they wish to keep in contact with. Or in the case with Alec and Mariposa there's a special type of Magic involved."
"Maman? Why is it so dangerous here? Can't we just take our Vaults and move to there and leave this behind?" Mariposa asked.
"It has to do with how your Family Magics are built, Butterfly. That's why you have to be here." Silver gave Mariposa and Harry a sad smile.
"We couldn't gift them the equivalent of their monetary Value on Home?" Perry stumbled.
"Oh you could, most definitly, but their History and Magics would be Lost." Silver told him. "That, and it'd drain about half of Home's total Royal Coffers if I remember correctly the conversion."
Perry choked on his spit. "THAT MUCH?!" He knew a rough estimate of the total Royal Coffers, but to halve it to have the equivalent amount for Harry and Mariposa's accounts was beyond what they could do, not without a Sitting Royal Meeting to allow it.
"Yes, that much, and I only know that because I'm their Guardian." Silver shrugged, not even mentioning that she could cover it herself, alone, without even making a major dent in her funds. Such was the perks of being the Genesis Hellcat with too many Millenia years of age, and not enough people to splurge on.
The rest were confused, even her own circle for a few moments. "Lovely Sunlight, roughly how much would it be to cover their Vaults if they had to leave it behind?" Childe asked.
"30 billion, give or take." Silver answered, after Harry and Mariposa gave permission, which lead to another round of coughing fits. "That's just the Terran Value. That's not Home's."
"Current conversion is just metals, so... 200 credits per ounce of Gold, 100 per ounce of Silver, and 50 per ounce in most other metals." Perry whispered, fearing the actual rate exchange.
"Shit... It has changed." Silver rubbed her forhead tiredly. "I'd be wiped out of spending for months then if I were to do it alone."
"How much Maman?" Mariposa asked, her eyes already wide.
"About 600 billion credits off of Galleons alone, if it was straight coins, not accounting investments, property, or Heirlooms." Silver's head was hurting more and more. "Now I'm dropping this, because this is giving me a migraine just from trying to give a proper answer."
"This is why we have account managers right? So we don't have to do the numbers ourselves right?" The twins stated together as they looked at the adults in the room.
"It's true that you have account managers, but eventually you will either have to negotiate to keep them or learn to manage your accounts yourselves." Silver responded.
"It is a better, and most times, cheaper option to do so yourself, as it means you know where every Credit goes." Neuvillette spoke up. "It also means that if any account has conditions to use it you'd be well aware of them and can plan accordingly."
"I have a Vault for my education years that Uncle Alcandor set up for me. I receive monthly deposits that go towards tutoring, materials, and the occasional snack, anything left over the end of the month is considered an allowance for other things, like jewelry, weapons or armor if I wanted it. I usually spend it on things for Killi, as a way to thank them for taking care of me." Alec shrugged. "As long as i remained reasonable, or planned for the items, and can provide proof of what I've done with the money- then I have free reign over the account, so long as it furthered my education, or lead to an educated outcome."
"Family Magics can also be set up to limit a person's spending- or deny access- to Vaults, like Neuvillette started telling you about. Conditional Access to coin the term." Silver hummed. "We can make a run of the Vaults under your names later."
The twins nodded. "For now a manager is good to make sure things run smoothly while we're to young to handle the funds right? But once we are 13 and older we will be responsible for the fortune and either growing it or maintaining it right?," Mariposa asked
"13 is when you start learning to manage it, you don't put down a baby to let them walk on your own, correct?" Silver said, before she hummed. "We will make a mock run of what you would do of the money, then if the ideas are of good quality we can run a simulation next time we've returned Home."
The twins grinned. "That sounds like it would be cool to work on," Harry said as he looked at Mariposa who nodded as well. "We also have our heirs vaults right which we have to budget right?", Mariposa brought up.
"Mmmm, yeah, you should manage them, but as you're young you get a monthly allowance from the Main Vault until you're... 20? I think it is." Silver waved off.
Mariposa nodded and thought about that. But the interrealm travel began to hit her and Harry as they both yawned.
"Go to bed you two, ill get you for dinner." Silver hummed. "As for you three, lets get you set up for your stay."
The twins nodded as they hugged Silver and turned to Neuvillette and hugged him. "nini papa...."she mumbled before Harry helped her move towards the door.
Childe swooped in, seeing the zombie walk of their Butterfly. He scooped her up, carrying her off. "Come on, Munchkin, let's get you and Butterfly off to bed."
Harry nodded as he followed Childe.
Silver turned to the other three. "Now... We will be following them up in just a moment, but there's going to be the set of rules that all of my Wards follow, including Harry and Mariposa." She pulled out her usual contract that all of the ones she would make people sign. "Look this over, no need to sign as there's a separate one you all will sign once Zhongli gets here."
Alec and Dawne both grabbed a copy and began to read it over. "Seven years of schooling? does my previous schooling count or just Terra schooling?" Alec asked
"The Schooling is definitely going to be counted as all schools. I do have Wards at Home who chose to stay once they could move their Vaults over." Silver corrected. "But no, Schooling with temporary custody is removed depending on your age, so you and Perryton don't have to go, based on this, but by Mariposa being your Soulbonded... that just messes with everything."
"I wouldn't let her go alone where any Landwalkers could try to Interfere with our courtship," Alec growled.
"Perry, if that's true shouldn't Raspen be here?" Dawne Asked innocently.
Silver's head whipped to Dawne and Perryton.
"Yeah, I have a Soulbond with Raspen." Perry admitted.
"Lady, help me...." Silver groaned, gaining a shadowed chuckle.
"Young Prince, all will be well. Young Prince Raspen will be here with my Ligress's Alpha in three hours." The shadow form of the Immortal chuckled before vanishing.
Silver's head dropped into her hands. "Uncle Ki is running rampant again..."
