When morning came, Draco had tried to avoid his thoughts from going bad to absolute worst. But he couldn’t help himself, what is he to do? What if Harry did not want their pup? Would Harry even want him? His thoughts consumed him, with no signs of stopping.
The door opened slowly, revealing raven locks and a trolley full of food. “Mon ange, how are you feeling? I brought your favourites.”
“Theo…” Draco cried. The Slytherin panicked with the sight of his friends' tears falling one by one. “What’s wrong?” Theo says, placing his hand on Draco’s left cheek, caressing it with his thumb. “It’s alright. Everything will be just fine, Darling.”
A week later
Hogwarts was abuzz with excitement as the month of love approached them. The 8th years decided to go all out this year in decorations, led by Hermione Granger who has been advocating for all sorts of things. It was a wonder how one could catch a moment with her simply to catch up. The girls were giggling through the halls, gossiping about the upcoming couples and the plans of certain students to woo others. The boys, including Ron Weasley, Dean Thomas, and Blaise Zabini were busy in preparations to give their special someone a little something for Valentines. However, Draco couldn't care less. He had other things to worry about.
After spilling his guts to Theo (literally and metaphorically), the boy had made it his mission to encourage him to tell Harry Potter about the baby’s existence. Reassuring him that whatever it is the boy says, he would have support and that his child will be raised with love. Draco took a deep breath and made his way down the common room. (Pansy had informed him the two boys have been there since early morning reading their letters)
His steps felt heavy as he got closer to the 8th year common room, his heart beating aggressively. Draco smiled, spotting the boy sitting with Ron, lost in conversation.
“You’d make a great dad, mate” The Weasley boy said looking at Harry and Teddy’s photographs. Draco takes another step, his breath hitches.
“I don’t want kids” Draco stops, quickly turning back. His heart was pounding, his thoughts filled with nothing but distress. Theo sees him as he comes down the stairs that lead to the boys quarters, Draco looks at Theo, eyes filled with tears. “What happ- Dray ” Before Theo could even ask, the blonde collapses, quickly catching him. “Fuck, Dragon.”

Draco was avoiding him and he hated it. Harry was sending himself into a spiral. One that many noticed as a repeat of their 6th year, he stared at Draco when he could, followed the boys dot on the map as it moved, and when he couldn’t help himself he followed closely behind under his cloak sending zaps of lightning to Theo everytime he drew close.
He didn’t know what had prompted the boy to avoid him, he did not even sleep at their dorms anymore and often spent nights in Blaise and Theo’s dorm much to Harry’s irritation since it seems like Blaise had completely decided to stay at Pansy’s dorm. Hermione had told him to stop following the boy and focus on his academics, but Harry couldn’t care less. His Draco was slipping through his fingers and he hated it.
He had tried approaching the boy, but it seemed like Draco would disappear every time he had found him. He couldn’t even corner the boy alone, Theo stuck to him like a pest. A pest Harry needed to get rid of.
“No, Harry! We are not gonna help you get rid of Theodore Nott.” Hermione glares at him
“Mate, you’re mental” Harry rolled his eyes, and slumped his shoulders against his bed. “I am not mental! I just…” He sighs. “I don’t know what I did, ever since he came back from the Hospital Wing, he has been avoiding me like a plague! And that pest has been with him 24\7!”
“Nott is not a pest.” Hermione says, smacking the boy with the papers she was holding. “If he’s avoiding you, you probably did something. So stop, glaring at their dots on the map and think of what it is you did.”
Harry ignored her, continuing his battle with the piece of parchment in his hand, until the witch snatched it right out of his hands. “Hey!”
“No map for you until you make up with Draco.”
March 17, 1999
It has been a week since Plan “what did I do to piss Draco Malfoy off?” and so far, Harry has not had much success. Heck, he couldn’t even go to the blonde and ask him. His owls had all been rejected, and returned to him (he didn’t want to admit it, but it had hurt more than he’d like everytime it was rejected). The classes assigned for the 8th years had not been visited by the boy either, when asked the Professors had merely told him to find the boy and ask him personally. Harry was pissed. He noticed the other students walking with caution whenever he was around.
Pansy Parkinson had not made any quips around him, Patil and Padma had not teased him about his lovelife nor inquired about it in a while, Hell, even Cormac McLaggen had not come near him. It was evident he was pissed and he did feel guilty, but he couldn’t do anything. The ferret git had completely disappeared from his sight, the only thing comforting him was the map that Hermione would let him keep for an hour, reassuring him of the boy's presence in Hogwarts.
He walked through the bridges that lead to the grounds of Hogwarts, the foyer had been repaired since the war, flowers adorning the fields thanks to Neville Longbottom. It had also been transformed and charmed as the newest apparition point for those who had reached the legal age, whenever they’d like to visit their homes or Hogsmeade.
“You must write to us, even when you get too busy taking care of them. Encourage him to write to us as well.” He heard a voice that sounded similar to Pansy Parkinson whimpering. He whipped his head to the direction and saw three figures standing together at the Apparition point. He walked closer, taking caution to avoid catching their attention. “I’ll do my best, but you know that Dragon. He had never changed his mind.” Theo chuckles lowly.
Taking care of who? Dragon? Where is Theo going?
“Take care, Darling. We’ll be right there as soon as he lets us see him.” Blaise says, patting Theo’s back, Pansy giving him a hug. “I guess this is it for now…We’ll miss you.”
Harry was lost in thought as he entered his shared room with the blonde, even if it is just him as the occupant for the past few months. He was pulled out of his thoughts when his feet came into contact with an object on the ground, looking down he saw it was the blonde’s favourite scarf. Harry picked it up, Draco’s scent attacking him as soon as he brought it close. “Draco?...Are you here?” he said, looking around, letting his magic wander to look for a hint of the other boy's presence. With no luck, he sighed and sat on his bed.
“What exactly did I do, Draco? I am losing my mind here, while that prat is all over you.” Harry lays on his bed, hugging the scarf with Draco’s scent close. He closed his eyes, images of the blonde quickly flashing through his head. He was going insane, if he didn’t talk to the boy soon, he doesn’t know what he might do to the Nott heir.
Frustrated, he got up and decided to work on his potions essay before Hermione gave him hell. He waved his arm and soon the lamps were lit, illuminating the room. He sat on his desk, right next to the window where Draco had placed a few stones, each with a matching stone. He looked out the window where the stones were placed, feeling Draco’s magic emit from the stone. He paused and looked closer.
“Shit.”
Harry rushed out of his desk and sped to the blonde’s trunk, immediately prying it open with his magic. Only an empty space greeting him. He shut the trunk door with force, his magic exploding.
“Why- what happened?” Ron says walking in the room with a frightened expression.
“Draco is gone.”

“Tout est réglé, Mon Ange?” (All settled, my angel?) Theo says putting down a cup of tea on the table out in the balcony. The other looked at him and smiled, giving him a nod.
