Chapter Four
She decides to listen to the model. At least try to go back to sleep for an hour or two before she has to fly. Finally, with Karlie’s words still floating around her mind like feathers, she drifts to a deep sleep.
When she next wakes up it’s to go to the airport. It doesn’t take long to get her on a plane, what with owning a private Jet, and soon she’s in the sky. It would probably be a good idea to sleep. She clearly still needs it, desperately. But all she can think about is Karlie. Why was so she ready to jump into action and buy tickets to New York? Why did she call Taylor back? It doesn’t fully make sense to her. What about Josh and the kids? She’s just going to leave them for however long she’d planned to stay in New York? How long is she planning on spending in New York? Is she going to stay for her Birthday? Question after question fills her mind. She sighs and puts some music on. Hours later she’s shaken awake not even realising that she’d fallen asleep.
“We’re about to land.”
She nods, wondering what exactly is waiting for her when she steps off the plane.
