In 1979 regulus black was pronounced dead. But was he really gone or did he fake his death and go into hiding.
It was 1979 regulus went to the cave to find the horcruxes and when everyone thought he died in that cave he went into hiding. He was hiding at one of the family black houses in France but when he found out about Peter being the traitor he went back secretly to try and save James and Lily but it failed or did it and he went back to hiding out in France. When he found out about the second war he went to help Harry defeat voldemort.
Regulus arrived at Hogwarts while Voldemort was doing his join me or you will die speech. When he walked up to the crowd, he pushed past hearing whispers of ‘who's that’ ‘is that regulus black’ ‘i thought he died’ but he ignored them.
When he arrived at the front of the crowd voldemort turned to look at him but regulus just looked past him at harry who looked exhausted and terrified, regulus ignored voldemort and walked up to harry and said “are you alright aside from the whole you almost dying thing.” “I'm fine, who are you?” Harry asked. “Im regulus black sirius’ brother. By the way everyone thought i was dead so that's why they are all so shocked, i also knew your father." Regulus replied. “Where did you go? You should be dead.” Voldemort asked. “I went to find a horcrux in the cave were i shouldn't have survived so i used the fact everyone would believe i had died to fake my death and then hide out somewhere and let everyone think i died i tried to save james and lily but i was too late when i got there so i stayed hidden and tried to work things out to help. When I knew about what was happening here I left and came out here to help you and now I'm here.” “how the fuck did you pull that off ?” said harry. “I stayed in one of the black family houses.” Regulus replied. Voldemort looked at Regulus as if judging him.
“Stupefy.” Voldemort shouts aimed at the crowd behind the pair. “Expelliarmus” regulus aims at him and their spells connect against each other fighting against the other. When the spell breaks voldemort turns slowly towards harry lifting his wand, before he has the chance casts a spell on harry, draco moves for the first time as he runs to the other side (away from voldy) he throws his wand to harry which harry catches. When Harry sees that draco is across to the other side he turns back to voldemort lifts his wand “avada kedavra” he aims at voldemort. Voldemort tries to fight back but for once he is too slow and gets hit. He's dead.
Harry stands still staring in shock at where Voldemort had vanished when he hears Regulus say “Hey, Harry he's gone he's gone for good you did it.” “He's gone.” Harry muttered to himself both as a question and reassuring himself. He turns around to see everyone is looking at him, some hugging each other in celebration. Harry walks towards everyone but spots Remus staring somewhere that he doesn't know yet but he turns to look and Remus is staring at regulus.
Regulus starts to walk towards Remus cautiously not knowing how Remus is feeling about his return (because he's a fucking idiot obviously Remus will be happy) when Harry looks around again he can see Sirius walking to the front looking just as shocked. When Sirius gets to the front he stands next to Remus and whispers “Is this real. Am I hallucinating?” “No, it's real Sirius, he helped Harry fight.” Remus replied. “It's real, Sirius, I'm alive, I promise. I'm here.” Regulus told him. Sirius walked over to Regulus and hugged him for the first time in over 20 years, Remus stood by and watched that happen. When they separated Remus hugged Regulus as well.
When everyone was out of shock Sirius asked “what happened? We all thought you died in the cave.” “About that…so when I went to the cave I knew there was a small chance that I would survive so I also knew that everyone would believe that I had died in the water because of the risk involved. So when I survived I used that as a chance to find horcruxes without anyone coming after me which by the way I did manage to leave some clues to help. I stayed in hiding at one of the family houses for a while until i found out about peter being the spy, so i started tracking him down to stop him and when i found him it was just before halloween and i listened in on a meeting which peter was involved in which is when he told the where james and lily were so then i left and went to godric's hollow, don't ask how i didn't get caught because i don't even know honestly it was a risky plan but it was all i could think of at the time.” “Why didn't you come back after that?” Remus asked. “So…after i found out about what peter was planning i decided i to try to stop him at the potters so i got there before they did and when they got to the door and it opened i put james into a coma before voldemort cast the spell so they would think it worked but i couldn't do anything for lily because she was upstairs protecting harry and i couldn't get to her, so when peter and voldemort left the house i got james out of the coma and told him i had to fake kill him so people thought he was dead and explained everything to him.
