Not even a minute later they heard whispers from everyone in the crowd around them, they turned to see what happened and they saw James slowly emerging from the crowd, everyone whispering similar things as earlier. ‘I thought he died’ ‘is that James potter’ ‘but he died years ago.’ As James walked closer to them he looked around before spotting Regulus and ran over to him, picked him up hugging “oh my Merlin, thank fuck your alive. What the actual fuck were you thinking coming out here during a fucking war without telling me first you know what happened last time there was a fucking war. You almost fucking died and so did i, i woke up to a fucking note saying you left to come here and fight with nothing else saying you'd be safe. What the fuck." Regulus just looked at him calmly as if this was a normal occurrence. “I didn't tell you earlier because I knew you'd want to fight beside me and I couldn't let you fight him again especially after what happened last time you fought. Also yes i do remember what happened which is why i left in the middle of the night when its dark and less people can see me and be happy i left a fucking note i almost didn't just so you wouldn't run after me but then i thought you should be here." Regulus replied before he added “also Harry is right there.” Regulus gestured for Harry to come over but Harry was stuck frozen to the spot just like Sirius and Remus. James turned to look at them trying to read their faces but when he looked into Harry's eyes he froze ‘he has lily's eyes’ he thought. Remus was the first one to get out of shock. “Regulus said you're here but I don't think I fully believed it. Holy fuck you're actually here.” Sirius was next to talk “James what the actual fuck we all thought you died we had a fucking funeral and harry went to fucking bitch of a sister lily had, you cant just show up here. WE THOUGHT YOU FUCKING DIED.” James laughed a little a Sirius’ outburst, it was just like back at school when a minor thing would happen. When he turned to Harry he was still frozen (registering that the dad you thought was dead is actually alive can take a while)Remus stepped towards Harry cautiously, gently shaking Harry out of shock “he's actually alive.” Harry said both as a question and reassuring himself. “Yes, he's alive, Harry, your dad is alive.” Harry stayed still for a moment. “He might have an outburst like Sirius because of what happened since you ‘died’ and they are a lot alike.” Remus told him. James watched harry process what was happening “What the fuck you fucking died and i had lived with those abusive, manipulative fuckers for 13 years while i had a cousin who was a spoilt fucking brat, who couldn't let me have anything good and blamed me for absolutely everything and it was a living hell because of you ‘dying’ what the fuck and you are just here YOU FUCKING DIED.” Harry shouted. Hearing Harry shouting, Draco started to walk over to him. People started whispering again ‘why does he care about this’ ‘don't they hate each other’ when harry saw Draco walking over he visibly relaxed, Draco reached harry and hugged him. “I thought they hated each other,” James whispered to Remus, “could say the same for you.” “true.” When Draco pulled away from the hug he turned to Sirius and said “just so you know my mum might be over here soon to…escape Bella so she doesn't get attacked or possibly killed.” “Why is Bella trying to attack and kill her? Not that I'm surprised, it's Bella.” “Since I ran over here Bella thinks mum knew about me doing this or had something to do with it. So she thinks my mum's basically a traitor.” “That's not surprising, honestly Bella was always crazy.” Regulus chimed in. “Who are you…wait, are you Regulus?” “yes, i am” “oh alright wait, didn’t you die.” “Yes he did die but didn't at the same time, I'll explain later.”Sirius answered. “Is that why you were shouting?” Draco asked harry. “Um not quite, I was shouting because my dad, who I thought was dead, is also here and alive.” “your dad…is here…and hes alive what the fuck happened in the last ten minutes.” harry pointed to James who was behind Draco, when Draco turned around and saw James he looked shocked both because of how similar him and harry were but also because he’s alive ‘what the actual fuck’ Draco thought.
Regulus answered that thought for him saying “so when i ‘died’ i went into hiding then when i found out about peter i tried to save James and lily but i couldn't get to lily so i managed to save James and we've been hiding out till when we came to help fight.” “well he came out to fight without fucking telling me and i thought he was going to die.” James added.“Now I see where Harry gets the dramatics.” Draco replied, making everyone but James and Harry laugh. Harry and James both with offended looks, James said “i'm not being dramatic this is a normal reaction to your boy- this happening.” at the same time harry said “what the fuck i'm not dramatic.” “I really see it now.” Remus added. James and Harry turned looking offended. “What were you about to say when you slipped up?” Sirius asked. James looked at Regulus and Regulus gave a nod of agreement, James turned to look at Sirius who had a look of confusion on his face “I was going to say boyfriend before I changed it.” “what the fuck. James that's my little brother.” “for fuck sake Sirius i'm not 15 anymore.” Regulus replied “How about we get inside what's left of Hogwarts and talk about this where we aren’t out in the open.” Remus said.
When they got into Hogwarts they went up to the Gryffindor dorms. (Harry's dorm) when they arrived in the dorms Harry walked in first to check there wasn't anyone there (also to make sure nothing they shouldn't see is there) they all walked in and sat down comfortably. “So what the fuck happened?”Remus asked. “Alright i'll explain it a bit better now that know one is around. So when I found out about the Horcruxes I decided to go hunting for them to help fight. When I found out one of them was in the cave I found a way to get to it and back safely but didn't tell anyone so I could fake my death and have it not be suspicious. When I left the cave I decided to go to one of the family's houses which I knew wasn't being used and wouldn't be used again.” “Which one was it?” Sirius asked “the one in Paris.” “alright.” Sirius replied. Regulus continued explaining “so while I was in hiding I continued to find clues to the Horcruxes for a while. When I found out that Peter was the spy and was attending meetings I came back and started going to the meetings again.”
“How did you not get caught?” Remus asked, “I disguised myself as Barty with polyjuice potion because Barty was in on my plan and told me about peter.”Regulus told him and continued to explain “so i the meeting i ended up being at the one when peter told us where the safe house was, in that same meeting Voldemort told us when he would be there so we could be on watch. This all happened a couple of days before Halloween so i went to Godric's hollow but stayed hidden and made a plan to interfere, when Voldemort arrived at Godric's hollow i put James into a coma right before the spell hit which made it look like James died but when i tried to get Lily she had ran upstairs to hide harry and i couldn't get to her so when Voldemort left i woke James up and explained everything to him, we left and went to the same hiding house in France which is where we have been for the last 16 years.”
