Summary
About three years ago, I had anabsolutely batshit crazy idea for a Harry Potter fanfiction. It started with a text to my friend where I asked “What if Severus Snape, Lily Evans, and James Potter were in a throuple?” I ended up plotting the whole thing out, creating playlists, and even drawing some art for the fic. This is a collection of all those things. I may or may not ever get around to writing it, but I thought people would appreciate it. Feel free to write from my outline and world building, but please list this as inspiration or send it to me if you do! I would love to see it!(Note: This is as gay as humanly possible for the sole purpose of pissing off TERF. K. Rowling.)
Summer of 1994 (GOF Part One)
April 20, 2025 at 08:09 AM
[SUMMER OF 1994]
- [Peter Pettigrew, now a fugitive, finds Voldemort. They begin planning to restore Voldemort’s body.]
- [Caitin Lovelace spends the summer at Cedric Diggory’s house. In between familial duties and lessons with Lana, Diana joins them.]
- [Draco Malfoy is being taught parts of the family business by his father. He wishes he could, instead, work on pet projects and his charms work. He and Diana have begun arguing more about political ideologies.]
- Sirius Black finally receives a trial date, and plans to sue for unlawful imprisonment. Because he escaped from Azkaban, he is put under house arrest until his trial date and not allowed possession of his wand or use of magic. He is staying with Severus, which he hates.. Hari comes to visit him often, and Severus makes himself scarce when he does.
- Lee spends alternating weeks with each side of his family.
- [Percival Parkinson, Pansy’s father, passes away. Her mother, Enying Parkinson, is in poor health but is technically still the family head. Pansy’s older brother Patton returns from abroad. He begins making moves for an arranged marriage for Pansy. (Pansy hates this.) Neville attends the wake and funeral with Augusta. Augusta and Enying are friendly with one another. Pansy is pissed Neville is there. They finally have a fight about their dying friendship, and officially end it. (Privately, Pansy is devastated by this.)]
- [Benji Fenwick is called by Dumbledore to be a character witness for Sirius’ trial. After discussing it with Lana, he agrees. Andromeda Tonks and McGonnigal will also serve as witnesses.]
- Sirius’ trial officially begins. Once Peter’s deception is revealed, the public generally sides with Sirius. There’s outrage, and Peter is charged with his crimes in absentee. Peter Pettigrew officially becomes a fugitive, and Sirius is proven Not Guilty.
- [Amidst the controversy of Peter, and the public opinion of Aurors generally souring, Nymphadora Tonks completes her auror training. More progressive citizens of WB begin protesting against auror forces and organizing rallies against them. BC ACAB. They’re classified as radicals. Many of those leading the charge are disenfranchised in WB– Veela, Goblins, Werewolves, Half-Humans, Vampires, Squibs, Muggleborns, ETC. Dobby is also there as an activist for house-elves. (“Dobby is a political extremist, Harry Potter!”) These tensions have Blood Supremacists closing ranks. Hermione is very into all of this, and devastated she has to spend so much time in France missing out. Diana is also into it. Theodore Notte is involved, but he’s very performative and show-boaty about it. Sirius and Lana also show support for the cause.]
- [At the beginning of June, The International Confederation of Magicians convenes. During this, prominent politicians of MAGUSA, Frank Magique (Magical France), The German Magician’s Republic, and Wizarding Botswana show support for the activists.]
- Sirius is able to access his personal vaults, as well as his apartment he inherited from his Uncle Alphard. His original wand was destroyed, so he purchases a new one. When he discovers 12 Grimmauld Place was purchased by Lana, he’s furious. He sues her to try to reclaim the house. This pisses Lana off. Ensuing petty legal battles occur.
- Litha (Summer Solstice) June 21st, 1994: A political march takes place in London near the ministry. The March is broken up by Auror Raids, leading to the arrest of many participating. [Diana Malfoy and her friends, Caitin and Cedric, are amongst those arrested, but they’re moved to a holding room after it’s discovered that none of them are of age. Nymphadora Tonks is in charge of them while they wait for parents and guardians to pick them up. Tonks is a bit shocked to meet Diana, and tries to strike up friendly conversation with her seeing as they’re family. Diana isn’t entertained by this and is snarky about Tonks being an auror. (“I’m just surprised to see a cousin here. And I figure you can’t be all that bad, considering.” “You might not be all that good. Considering.”) Tonks has a bit of a crisis about this.]
- [Lucius Malfoy is called to get Diana. He sends a house elf to fetch her.]
- [Diana gets into a fight with Lucius about her recreational activities. He doesn’t say very much outright, but Diana demands to know if Lucius really was a supporter of Voldemort. Lucius denies it, and “rationally explains” (gaslights) Diana that his main concern is preserving The Old Ways. He also laughs off Diana practicing her family magic. After this, he begins looking into betrothal arrangements, since Diana’s 17th birthday is approaching. He’s planning to pull her from Hogwarts to get married. He has Draco look over potential candidates with him. Draco is extremely uncomfortable about this, especially because he knows Diana is a lesbian and very happily dating Caitin. Draco pushes for Flint, because he figures them being friends would be better for her than her marrying some random older man. Draco doesn’t tell Diana what their father is planning.]
- [At sunset on Litha, Diana has a vision about her future that ends in her death. It’s rather vague, but a handful of moments stick out to her. She confides in Lana about the vision. Lana reassures her that the vision is likely just a possibility, not something set in stone. Diana is unnerved.]
- [Unknown to Hari and Petunia, Vernon begins hitting Dudley whenever he exhibits his magical tendencies. He also enrolls Lee in the Army Cadet force and puts him on a diet to slim him out. Having spent so much time away from Muggle Society, Lee doesn’t really fit in with others in the group, and some begin picking on him. Lee starts getting into fights.]
- At the beginning of July, Bertha Jorkins is murdered by Voldemort. Nagini is turned into a Horcrux.
- [Neville begins spending time with Hannah Abbot after crossing paths in a Herbology supply store in Diagon Alley. Cute summer romance begins.]
- [Marcus Flint is approved to retake his Sixth Year in an attempt to improve his grades before his NEWTs year. He’s not happy about it. Diana and Caitin give him shit about it, and make jokes that he can’t boss them around anymore. They offer to help him out with his studies. Flint is embarrassed, but grateful since his teammates give him actual shit about it.]
- [Diana is gifted an old family wand from Lana that previously belonged to her when she was studying under Theia. Diana keeps it hidden at home when she’s not working with Lana.]
- [Sirius receives his judgement back from the courts about his lawsuit for Grimmauld Place. He lost. He’s still pissed about it. Lana is frustrated by these events, and rants to Benji about it. “He hated this house. Loathed it, even. Why the fuck would he want it now?”]
- Hari celebrates his birthday with family and friends. Neville comes along. Vernon is (unfortunately) there with Lee because he wanted to be there for his cousin’s birthday. Vernon stops him from eating anything at the party. Petunia and Vernon get into an argument about it.
- During the party, Ron gifts Hari an extra ticket to The Quidditch World Cup. Hari asks about one for Lee, but the Weasley’s only had two extra and Ron had given the other to Hermione. [Lee is hurt at being left out, but he tells Hari he’s not upset about it. “It’s your friend’s gift to you.”] Instead of returning to Surrey, Lee and Vernon stay the night at the Evans home in Liverpool. (The next custody week is Petunia’s. Vernon refuses to just return home on account of the fact that he’s awful, and it’s still technically his week until Monday evening.)
- After the party is over, Sirius stops by for a visit and to give Hari his gift. Vernon tries to start again about Petunia bringing unknown men into the house where his son lives. (More slut shaming, ew.) Sirius shuts it down fast, by mentioning he’s Hari’s godfather. Vernon retreats to the guest room after getting recked by Sirius. Hari and Sirius catch up with one another, while Lee makes himself scarce. Sirius is weird around Lee because he reminds him a bit of Regulus. Hari asks about Sirius’ lawsuit against Lana. Petunia pipes in, asking about why he would waste time suing Lana. Sirius is irritated, and asks how Petunia would even know Lana. Petunia answers (Lies, kinda) that she knows Lana because she used to work for Benji’s father’s hospital. Hari finds out Petunia used to be a nurse. Sirius and Hari continue to chat until Sirius returns home to his flat. He plans to take Hari, (and Lee), shopping for school supplies the last week of August.
- The next day, Vernon leaves to return to Surrey. Dudley and Petunia get into a fight about the custody arrangement. [Lee leaves to go hang out with Blaise Zabini, who invited Lee over after he found out Vernon wasn’t letting Lee have friends over for his Birthday. Millicent (Millie) Bulstrode hangs out with them as well, and gifts Lee a Magic Portrait Restoration kit. (They have crushes on eachother. Blaise is suffering.) When asked why she’s hanging out with them again, Millie explains that Daphne and her friends had continued to be bitchy toward her, but more about her weight than her blood status. Pansy hadn’t defended her at all, and she was sick of hanging around them and being treated like that. This is especially because she only really joined the group because Pansy did. Lee and Blaise get angry at Pansy on her behalf. Millie shuts them down. (“I just miss her. How she used to be, that is. And she’s not happy being friends with Daphne either… She still treats Pans like shit.”)]
- (The Quidditch World Cup takes place earlier than in canon, set instead on Friday, August 5th.)
- Hari goes to stay at The Burrow on the 3rd. Hermione and him arrive the same day. On the 4th, everyone heads out to catch their portkey. Arthur informs them they’re waiting for The Diggory Party before they leave via portkey.
- (The Weasley Party: Arthur, Fred, George, Ron, Ginny, Hari and Hermione. The Diggory Party: Amos Diggory, Cedric Diggory, Caitin Lovelace, Diana Malfoy.)
- The Diggory’s, along with Caitin, arrive at the portkey shortly after the Weasley party. They chat with one another for a minute, before Arthur suggests heading out. Amos corrects that they’re waiting for one more. When Diana shows up, wearing muggle clothing, Hari and friends are shocked to see her. Fred and George mess with her, and she messes with them right back. Arthur seems uncomfortable that Diana is in their traveling party.
- At the campsite, Draco is sent to fetch Diana. When he appears, she retreats into the Diggory tent and changes into a set of stuffy robes. [At the Malfoy lodgings, Lucius informs Diana that she’s been entered into a betrothal contract and will not be returning to school. She’s set to marry Patton Parkinson. After the conversation is over, Diana storms off. She gets into a fight with Draco, demanding to know if he knew what Lucius was planning. She gets more angry, and storms off to reunite with Caitin and Cedric.]
- That night, everyone plays games around the campfire, and Hari learns from Fred that Diana and Caitin are dating, after he mistakenly thought Caitin and Cedric were a couple. Hari doesn’t know shit about gay people until this point.
- During the game, Ron, Caitin and Diana, amongst others, are entranced by the Veela performance. Cedric, Hari, and the other girls hold everyone back and Hari learns about the effect Veela are supposed to have on men. He doesn’t unpack any of that. Game continues on as canon. [Ludo Bagman scams the Weasley twins.]
- Late that night, several Deatheaters, including Lucius Malfoy, begin harassing and assaulting a handful of muggles and muggleborns. Chaos begins.
- Draco comes to find Diana. Diana demands to know where their father is, but Draco is unable to answer. He glances at the rioting crowd. Diana tells him to go with Fred and the other Weasley’s. When he refuses, she screams at him. Fred and Draco retreat into the woods with the others, but Draco refuses to leave sight of the campgrounds, wanting to keep an eye on his sister. They hide in a tree.
- Diana, Caitin and Cedric head deeper into the campground to help escort attendants toward the woods, as well as provide some basic first aid. During the chaos, they get separated.
- Hari realizes he’s misplaced his wand, and tries to go back for it. When he encounters Fred and Draco, he tries to pick a fight. Draco ignores him, and Fred scolds him, telling him they’re waiting for Diana, Caitin, and Cedric.
- After most of the attendees have fled the camp and a handful of aurors arrive to attempt to control the situation, Diana and Cedric head toward the woods. Draco notices Caitin has been cornered by a Deatheater, seemingly without her wand. He warns Diana, who rushes to Caitin. Diana gets in between Caitin and the Deatheater, being hit by the Cruciatus curse. She shields Caitin as the Deatheater approaches. When the Deatheater raises his wand again as he approaches, she recognizes the wand. (It’s Lucius. At that moment, Diana realizes her vision is going to come true.)
- [Barty Crouch Jr., having escaped from Winky, fires off the Dark Mark using Hari’s wand. The Deatheaters, including Lucius, flee.]
- Hari is accused by Barty Crouch of casting the dark mark. Winky is fired. Hermione tries to advocate for her, but Crouch ignores her.
- The Diggory Party, Weasley Party and Draco return to The Burrow. Shortly after, around 2:00 in the morning, Diana takes Draco and returns to Malfoy Manor.
- [Upon returning home, Diana picks a fight with Lucius. Narcissa and Draco both attempt to calm the two of them down. Diana demands to confirm it was Lucius who had attacked Caitin. During the fight, Lucius degrades Diana and her choice in friends, saying he’s allowed her far too much freedom. Diana calls him out explicitly, and refuses the betrothal with Patton Parkinson. Lucius blames Caitin for Diana’s behavior and calls her a mudblood. Diana confesses that Caitin is her girlfriend. Lucius slaps her, and takes her wand, breaking it. He kicks her out. Narcissa tries to convince Lucius to not. Lucius agrees to let her take her school things, and gives her ten minutes to pack. Diana flees to her room, and hides her journal, containing years of writing about her opinions and experiences, along with her wand under a loose floorboard. She hopes Draco will find it. She pleads with both Narcissa, then Draco, to come with her. They both refuse.]
- [Diana leaves. Unable to use her magic, and without any money, Diana walks until she finds the nearest gas station. The muggle man who owns the station allows Diana to use the store phone, which she uses to call Lana for help. Diana and the man have a conversation about what happened, and he offers some comfort after sharing he was in a similar situation with his son. He assures Diana that her father will come to regret his actions, someday, and want to make amends. Diana bitterly contradicts him and says Lucius won’t. Lana arrives a bit later to pick her up, thanking the man for his help.]
- [Diana Malfoy is disowned. She legally changes her name to Dinah Black. (Dinah from Draco’s nickname for her, Black for her mother and Lana’s family.) ((If you know anything about the bible: Yes. I did choose that nickname on purpose.)) Dinah and Caitin stop hiding their relationship.]
- Hari and friends discuss the events of the previous night. Hari returns home.
- August 23rd, Voldemort murders Frank Bryce and takes over the old Riddle house. Hari dreams about this. [Barty Crouch Jr. finds Voldemort and Pettigrew, offering his services once again. Voldemort accepts his services. Barty spies on Moody, then kidnaps him after Moody accepts the DADA position.]
- [Hannah Abbott and Neville Longbottom officially begin dating.]
- [Gossip about Dinah’s disinheritance spreads quickly through pureblood circles. Having heard about it, Sirius goes to 12 Grimmauld Place to meet her. Lana accuses him of harassment, Sirius scoffs and says he merely wants to meet the cousin that’s carried out the family tradition of disownment. Lana tries to kick him out, but Dinah wants to speak to Sirius. They bond.]
- In the last week of August, Sirius takes Lee and Hari to Diagon Alley. Dinah is shopping with them, as Sirius offered to pay for her supplies. Lee is a bit awkward around her, but both boys immediately agree to use her changed name. They encounter Draco. Draco doesn’t say anything, but is visibly conflicted.
- Return to Hogwarts.
