Discovery
“Was that James running through the courtyard?” Barty asked as he watched the two boys run.
“Yes but as I was saying-“
“Is that Sirius chasing him and threatening to hex him?”
“Yes now can I continue my sente-wait what?”
Regulus looks over to see that Sirius is in fact chasing James and firing hexes. The odd thing is that James’ tie catches regulus’ eye but it is green and silver instead of red and gold…
“Shit” was the only coherent statement he the boy could put together right now.
They had woken up late that morning and James must’ve picked up regulus’ tie instead of his own. Well, Sirius knows about them now and apparently the whole school too thanks to the older boy’s dramatics.
“What an idiot! How could he have picked up your tie this morning? He literally has glasses so he has extra help and STILL picked your tie up” Barty said from beside him
“Yea I got that bit and I really don’t know but we was in a rush so it’s probably that. Should I save him?”
He asks even though it’s a rhetorical question.
“Sirius! Sirius! Merlin, is he really this deaf? Well I did try” He cast a binding spell that stopped him from moving completely. “Why are you chasing and trying to murder your best friend?”
“REG! Are you okay! I can’t believe he ruined my innocent baby brother!”
Sirius shouted hysterically.
“I’m fine and can you please stop trying to kill my boyfriend now? I get to break the family tradition of being incest and I don’t want him to die as I broke it” Reg reasoned with his brother.
“ but my best friend and my brother! Wait actually this is amazing! My best friend and my brother. THIS IS THE BEST THING THATS EVER HAPPENED TO ME” Remus coughed loudly at that “AFTER Remus of course.” Sirius said,smiling a little too innocently at his boyfriend.

“Ok how the actual fuck did you manage to pick my tie up and let it slip to my brother all in a few hours” the younger boy asked, trying to hide his usual smirk.
“I don’t know! It was dark and I was late, then Sirius was naming every slytherin girl under the sun when Remus figured it out”
“I can’t believe Remus told Sirius”
“Really? Remus,the person obsessed with Sirius and who will do anything for him?” James deadpanned
“Well yeah but it’s the principle”
“True but at least Sirius is fine with it and so is everybody else”
“Mhmmm if we tell my parents they will have a heart attack” regulus said,sleep threatening to pull him under.
“We need to tell them soon then”
“Mmmm” the curly-haired boy mumbled
“Good night my star” James whispered as he pressed his lips against his head.
