Summer holidays in the muggle world!
“Be careful Vi.”
“Okay Mom!” Vi grinned as she hurried onto the Platform. The time between The start of year and Christmas was so much shorter than from Christmas to the end of the year. And whilst She loved hearing how her friends and sister were doing, she was lonely. But the occasional addition letter from James or Remus, did cheer her up greatly. Even Petunia would ask about any recent letters. But now was the end of the first year, and she was looking for Sirius.
She weaved between people before beaming as she saw her friend. “Sirius!” She waved as she made her way over.
“Vi!” Sirius grinned, Vi wasn’t surprised to see James, Remus and Peter were with him. “Good to see you.”
“Like wise. So, how many detentions did you get this year, total?” Vi asked with a grinned.
“Um, good question, I lost count.” Sirius beamed, Vi rolled her eyes lightly.
“Hey Mini V, did you come looking for little old us before your big sister?” James asked with a teasing smile.
“Hey, I get to see Lily for the rest of Summer. And I have some news.”! Vi smiled. “You, Sirius Black, have been invited to mine house over summer. I have a ton of Muggle stuff to show you!”
“Really? Sweet! I can’t wait.” Sirius grinned. “Just let me know when, blimey my parents will go spare if they hear of it.” Sirius said. “Love it.”
“Not far, we don’t get an invite?” James pouted lightly.
“Nope, sorry Potter, you’re gonna need to have to wait another year, see if you can be my friend in that time.” Vi told.
“Ohooo… that is so Sly of you.” James said, but he was grinning. “Oops… look who is watching.” James said, Vi glanced the way he was looking and saw Severus.
“Ignore him, he is probably mad Lily couldn’t stop me being your friend.” Vi sighed.
“And I thought we had to work on being your friends.” James smirked.
“I walked into that.” Vi said, accepting it with a laugh.
“Hey vi, are you good to go?” Lily called, jogging over.
“Are we leaving now?” Vi asked.
“Well, only if you finished speaking to your friends.” Lily shot a glance at the boys, Sirius just gave a nervous smile as James gave her a small salute.
“We can just write, let me know when its good to have me over.” Sirius smiled.
“Will do, and if Jet needs a safe place again my room is always free!” Vi told him,
“I’ll keep it in mind.” Sirius smiled softly. Vi and Lily left the boys behind as they rejoined their parents.
“What do mean by Jet?” Lily asked.
“Ah, Sirius is worried about his family hurting his owl, so Jet – his owl – spent most of Christmas with me.” Vi explained.
“I see.” Lily muttered with a small frown. “But you get to show Sirius some Muggle world things, do you have a plan?”
“Yep, he is gonna love it!” Vi beamed happily.

“Did he mention how he would be arriving?” Mr Evans had joined his daughter looking outside.
“Yep, he said something called the Night bus. Its apparently a magical bus that can pretty much take you wherever you want. How cool is that?” Vi beamed.
“That does sound handy, well I am going to hel your mother in the kitchen, give me a shout when he arrives.”
“Okay dad!” Vi continued watching out the window. She planned to take Sirius around to see some of the muggle shops in the area, he had been asking about muggle sweets recently, after the topic came up. She gasped happily as a Bus appeared out of nowhere and Sirius hopped off, “He is here Dad!” Vi happily ran to the door. “Hi Sirius!” She beamed happily. He smiled when he noticed her and hurried over. “How has your summer been so far?”
“It’s been… well with my family, unpleasant is the best I can expect from it.” Sirius admitted.
“Then I plan to make today the best day!” Vi told him.
“Are you both setting off then?” Mr Evans smiled softly, joining them at the door.
“Are going somewhere?” Sirius asked confused.
“I am showing as many Muggle things as I can today.” Vi told him.
“Then, I know you are using your pocket money Vi, but here is a bit extra so go and enjoy yourselves, okay kids?” Mr Evans smiled softly, handing Vi a small purse.
“Oh, thanks Dad! Come on Siri!” Vi took his hand and began to pull him down the street.

The duo went into several shops; after getting some snacks the duo went to a park, Vi was giggling as Sirius seemed to love the swings.
“This world is amazing.” Sirius smiled happily, sharing the snacks they had brought.
“Even without all the magic?” Vi asked curiously.
“Sure, Magic is fun… but I want to get away from my family when I am old enough. I know they won’t touch me if I move into the Muggle World. If I have to give up magic to avoid them, so be it.”
“They must be bad…” Vi frowned, she was worried about her friend but also knew that Sirius was pretty silent on his family, she only knew they hated people like her.
“Do you think you’d come to Hogwarts?” Sirius asked curiously.
“Maybe, I would love too. Would be fun!” Vi smiled. “But even if I don’t… we can still be friends, right?” Vi looked at him.
“Of course.” Sirius beamed. “Honestly, I was always looking forward to your letters. Even though James tried stealing them first, he has been teasing me since he found out about the letters. He is totally jealous I have more knowledge about the Muggle world then he does.”
“Is James’ family like yours?”
“Yes and No. James and I are called Pure blood. Meaning our whole family has been pure wizards for generations now. There aren’t many now, there is the 28 primary pure bloods. The Potters are actually more respected then the Black family. Then there are Half-bloods. Half-bloods are someone born between a muggle and wizard, or a muggleborn and wizard. And finally, Muggle born. Someone who comes from a nonmagical family.” Sirius explained. “But the Potters are really nice to Muggles and Muggleborns, unlike my family who can’t even be nice to family if they are different.”
“The Muggle world has issues like that.” Vi said. “So, I guess I am not surprised.”
“I had the idea of being an adult, can you imagine dealing with that sort of thing when growing up.”
“Sounds like a nightmare to be fair.” Vi giggled, she then groaned. “I knew it was too quiet today.” She grumbled. Sirius looked up, and sighed seeing Severus approaching, Lily was trying to get him to leave them alone. Sirius went to get off the swing, but Vi got up first and stepped in front of Sirius. “Can I help you, Severus?”
“What are you doing with him?” Severus scowled.
“The same as you and Lily, I am hanging out with my friend.” Vi folded her arms. “And take into account you approached us not us approaching you. Leave us alone.”
“But he…” Severus began
“But nothing, we are just having fun, you hare the one ruining our day.” Vi scowled
“And I told you to leave them alone, Sevi!” Lily added, looking furious too.
“Its clear he is just her friend to get more shots at me.” Severus glared at Sirius, who frowned lightly. Vi clenched her fists, but was surprised as Lily hit him across the back of her head.
“You are so stupid Severus!” Lily yelled at him. “I’m going home.” Lily turned and walked away, Vi frowned softly.
“Sorry…” Sirius muttered softly as Severus ran after Lily.
“This wasn’t your fault Siri…” Vi sighed, the older boy blushed. “We can blame this on Severus, anyway, we still have time before you need to go. There is another place I want to show you.”

“Whoa…” Sirius looked up at the tree house Vi showed him proudly.
“My Dad made this when Petunia was still a lil kid, before Lily was born. We usually come here several times during the summer. There is a real nice field and river nearby too. So it’s a perfect spot for really warm days. Would be nice to invite you to one of those outings.” Vi smiled.
“That would be nice.” Sirius smiled. “Can we go up?” He asked, Vi grinned and climbed the tree to throw down a rope ladder.
“Be careful.” She grinned down at him.
As the sun was setting, the duo made it back to the Evans house.
“Welcome back you two. Hows was your day in our world?” Mrs Evans smiled softly at Sirius.
“It was amazing!” He replied happily. “Vi showed me the tree house, it was cool, I never had something like that when I was little. And the sweets were amazing.”
“I am glad you enjoyed yourselves. Would you like to stay for dinner?” Mr Evans asked.
“I wouldn’t want to intrude.” Sirius replied.
“Just say yes Black.” Lily said, she had a small smile. “You can’t say no to a dinner invite you or you will get one every weekend until the next school year.”
“Oh, erm, if its okay.” He nodded.
Sirius had never expected a family meal to be so lively, it was odd seeing Lily and Vi with their older sister, they were bickering but giggling at the same time. He frowned lightly, wondering if he could ever have that with his own little brother.
