The Eternal Bond

The twin moons of Rhyfelwr Vidar shone brightly over the Golden Palace, their silvery light bathing the city in a soft glow. Within the grand halls, the air hummed with an unspoken energy—one that had been present ever since the birth of the royal twins. Born of a celestial legacy, the children of Heiwa and King Tlahuicole carried the weight of Terra’s power and soul, a burden none but their parents fully understood.

Heiwa sat near the grand window of the royal nursery, her gaze soft as she watched her children sleep. The boy, Syaoran, carried the essence of Terra’s power, while his twin sister, Reiko, bore the soul of the ancient entity. They were still young, unaware of their destinies, but Heiwa and Tlahuicole knew the day would come when they would need to accept their true nature.

“You’re awake again,” Tlahuicole’s deep voice rumbled as he approached, wrapping a warm cloak around her shoulders. He stood beside her, his gaze shifting between their children and his wife. “You haven’t slept much lately.”

Heiwa leaned against him slightly, drawing comfort from his presence. “I keep thinking about their future. About the dangers that await them. They deserve a childhood free of burdens.”

Tlahuicole exhaled, his expression softening. “And we will give them that. But we must also prepare them. Their birth was no accident, Heiwa. The universe has plans for them.”

A soft cry echoed in the room as Reiko stirred in her crib. Heiwa moved to pick her up, cradling her daughter gently in her arms. The baby’s luminous violet eyes blinked sleepily, as if she could already sense the weight of her future.

“I just want them to be safe,” Heiwa whispered, pressing a kiss to Reiko’s forehead. “I want them to be happy.”

Tlahuicole placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “And they will be. Because we will ensure it.”
