A Kingdom at Peace
Years had passed since the war that brought Rhyfelwr Vidar and the Golden Kingdom of Earth into alliance. With the treaty signed and peace reigning between the planets, Heiwa and Tlahuicole had dedicated themselves to ruling together, not just as monarchs, but as parents.
Syaoran and Reiko had grown into lively children, their bond as twins evident in every aspect of their lives. Syaoran was strong-willed, always eager to train with the palace warriors, while Reiko was more introspective, drawn to the wisdom of scholars and mystics. Yet, despite their differences, they were inseparable.
Their cousin, High Prince Endymion of Earth, accompanied by his four loyal guardians, visited frequently, forming a close bond with them. Though young himself, he carried the weight of his own destiny, understanding the delicate balance of power and responsibility.
One evening, Clow and Kian summoned the royal family for a private audience. Their expressions were grave, and Heiwa knew at once that something had changed.
“There are disturbances in the balance of Terra’s essence," Clow began, adjusting his glasses. "Queen Metallia is stirring. Her darkness is reaching across the cosmos, seeking to consume and corrupt once more. The Silver Millennium, the ancient kingdom that once stood against her, may hold the key to understanding her return.",” Clow began, adjusting his glasses. “Something—or someone—is trying to interfere with the natural order.”
Kian crossed his arms, his sharp gaze shifting between the children and their parents. "When they turn ten, we should send them to Earth for further training. Clow has connections there—Hogwarts, a school of great magical renown. Its founders were his friends, and under their guidance, Syaoran and Reiko can learn to refine their abilities in ways we cannot teach them here. Of course, their training will begin long before then, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges ahead." “It may be time to start training them. Their connection to Terra makes them targets.”
Tlahuicole clenched his fists. “They’re still children. We agreed to give them time.”
Heiwa looked down at Reiko and Syaoran, who were watching the conversation with wide, curious eyes. She knew the time of peace was beginning to fray at the edges. The universe would not allow them to remain in quiet seclusion forever.
Reiko reached for her mother’s hand. “Is something wrong, Mama?”
Heiwa forced a smile, brushing her daughter’s hair back gently. “Nothing you need to worry about, little star.”
But deep down, she knew the storm was coming.
And this time, it would be their family standing at the heart of it.
