Summary
Phyllis Schlafly, staunch anti-ERA activist, is used to fighting battles on her own terms. When she’s forced to share a hotel room with an ERA supporter, a young woman who practically radiates everything she despises. Phyllis assumes it’ll be a miserable week.They both agree to keep the debate for the actual conference. After all, neither of them wants to make their time in the same room more unbearable than it already is. But the silence between them? That’s another story.Each tiny brush of the other’s presence feels like a reminder of everything they shouldn’t want. But when the lights go out and the tension grows thick, the walls they’ve built around themselves start to crack.Neither woman wants to acknowledge the quiet pull between them.
