Chapter 14
*A few months later*
Ivy POV
It's been some time since Vin came home with us and we became a family. We have become accustomed to everything as if it were normal. Joker has left us alone and we aren't sure if he has escaped or not but as long as he leaves us be I don't care. Vin has had fewer and fewer nightmares and she has been sleeping in her own bed. slowly and gradually we have been transitioning her into her own bedroom.
Don't get me wrong I love Vin so much but me and Harley need to be able to be alone at night sometimes. I also brought the hyenas home for Harley because she missed them and Vin wanted some pets. And they have really taken a liking to her and she loves them. Harley and Vin have been getting closer especially on days when I have to go out and do errands and they watch movies.
Selina has been coming over often and Vin loves her so much. Without her I don't know what Vin would do. She goes there all the time and Vin plays with the cats and they play games and eat candy. Which is where Vin is right now while me and Harley set up her new present. Which happens to be the gaming system she has been asking for. Not that Harley and I know what were to doing when it comes to electronics.
Vin comes running in the door just as we finish setting it up and jumps into my arms. "Mommy! I missed you all day." She smiles and hugs me tight. "And I made you this." She pulls out a piece of paper with a mediocre drawing of a flower which really isn't that badly drawn.
"I love it baby girl." I smile and kiss her cheek. I set her down and she runs over to Harley and hugs her.
"I didn't forget about you Mama. Here." Vin giggles and pulls out a drawing of Bud and Lou.
"Awe kiddo I love it a whole lot." Harley smiles and picks Vin up and hugs her tightly.
"Mama, I can't breathe." Vin says trying to wriggle from her grip.
"Sorry." Harley giggles and puts her down.
Vin looks at the living room. "Something's different in here." She looks closely and notices the Xbox. "You guys really bought me one?" She jumps up and down giggling.
Harley and I smile at each other and look over at Selina who is smiling at Vin. She sits down next to Vin and picks up a controller. Then she looks up at us. "What games did you guys get her?"
I smile and pull the bag of games we bought out. "I got Minecraft, Just Dance, and Kinect Sports."
"Hey Vinny wanna play a game with me?" Selina smiles and puts an arm around Vin.
"Okay." Vin smiles and puts Just Dance in the console. "Ready Kitty?" She smiles and pulls Selina off the couch. When the game starts up she notices the game can have four players and looks up at Harley and me. "Can you guys play too?"
I sigh and walk over to the couch and Harley follows happily. "I can't dance." I say looking at Vin.
"That's okay Mommy that doesn't matter." She smiles and holds my hand as she starts the game.
We play for a while until we all are close to dropping from exhaustion. Selina falls back onto the couch and tries to catch her breath. "I'm staying on the couch tonight."
Vin giggles and hugs Selina. "Yayyy." Vin nuzzles into Selina's chest and smiles. Selina holds her close and kisses the top of her head.
Harley and I head to the kitchen to make dinner . We make some sandwiches and bring them into the living room. Selina and Vin were asleep on the couch. Selina was holding Vin tightly to her chest.
Me and Harley decided to eat quick and then head to bed in our room. We clean up and then we head into bed. We don't even bother changing and just crawl into bed. It takes no time for Harley to fall asleep and I hold her until I fall asleep. Just a typical day in our house.
