The Secret

From small to big , white to black and from puppy to adults dogs everywhere too many to chose from. From left to right they all seemed perfect in her eyes she couldn’t just pick one. Julie wanted the perfect puppy for her fiancé. Christen had been bugging Julie on getting a dog since the start of their relationship.

~ FlashBack ~

During their annual vacation they decide to spend this years vacation at the Press residents. The whole time while on vacation Christen never lost the sight of her dogs it got to the point where she wouldn’t even cuddle with Julie to be with the dogs instead. Julie usually ended up sleeping in the sofa since the dogs took all of Julie’s space on the bed.

Momma Press: “Julie honey wake up”

Julie: “hmmm”

Momma Press: “Wake up so we can get you some breakfast then back to sleep on an actual bed”

Julie: “Give me a second I will be over there in a few”

Picking up her make shift bed in the living room which was actually more comfortable then it looked. Tons of pillows and blankets taken from the bed she was sharing with Christen. She didn’t want to go the guest room since it was way on the other side of the house too far from Christen . If her fiancé was happy it was worth not sleeping next to her for a few nights.

Momma Press: “Julie did you and Christen get into a fight and she kicked you out of the room? That you decided to sleep on the couch instead?”

Julie: “haha no nothing like that trust mw. We have an agreement that no mater how angry we are with each other we put a pause on our argument make up for the night and then continue our argument the next morning. Since its never good to go to sleep mad at someone. But come let me show you why you found me in the living room”.

Julie lead her future mother-in-law back to fiancé childhood room to allow her to see for herself. They had to be extra quiet when going into the room because the dogs would wake up and run to Christen’s mom leaving a very cranky Christen in the bed. Once the door was open they both peaked by the doorway “This is why I was on the sofa”

They left Christen to sleep a couple more minutes they head back to the kitchen for the breakfast Julie was promised. Chocolate waffles with eggs and bacon on the side with a tall glass of OJ.

Julie: “It started with them sleeping on the floor next to the bed then on to the bed by our feet then one made their way into Chris’s arms and the other curled up behind her. Until they started moving and stretching taking up all of my space I just didn’t feel comfortable so I came out here where its much more comfortable”

Momma Press: “How long has this been going on?”

Julie: “mmm since our second night here and we have been here for about a week. I just always wake up before anyone else gets up I find my way back to the room.”

Before either one could speak again Christen walked into the kitchen going straight for the plate of food in front of her fiancé. Julie makes a shield for her food “Babe whats yours is mine isn’t that how it goes?” “Nope not until May 23rd”. Christen knew she wouldn’t be able to win she comes up with another idea however it was quickly stopped when someone else spoke.

Momma Press: “Christen mmm did you and Julie fight last night?”

Christen: “No why?”

Momma Press: “Because I found your fiancé sleeping on the couch this morning. Then we found you sleeping with the dogs on the bed and this has been going over for over a week all because of the dogs”

Christen: “Im sorry baby, well if I had one of my own this wouldn’t of happen. But I’m really sorry baby i didn’t know you would sleep in the sofa lets go back to bed but first let me put the dogs outside.

~ End of Flashback ~

Has she remember what happen with big dogs she checked them off the list. A small dog would be perfect but could hide in little places and sneak out and most likely get ran over. Thats when she finally picked out a dog that would grow up to be a median size dog eventually. She asked the PetSmart employees to take out all the median size dogs out so she could see which one was the one. Choosing one was hard they were all playful and full of energy. She noticed a smaller pup that was trying to hide from the rest of the group. Small shinny black fur with bright green eyes curling himself into a ball. When Julie picked him up he didn’t fight it when she brought him up to her chest the pup just snuggled more into her chest. “This is the one” she told the workers. Mean while they got everything ready Julie went around the store picking out essentials the puppy would need. While walking around the store she came across a cute little Chicago Cubs jersey.

Back at the apartment coast was clear there was no sign of Christen anywhere. Christen wasn’t suppose to be home until later in the evening after her forward training. Julie sets down the pup next to the door she goes on to to set up for the surprise and the pup just stays at the door not moving an inch. Julie wanted everything to be perfect for when Christen got home. She walks back into the living room and the pup is still right where she left him.

Meanwhile Julie showered she allows the puppy to be on the bed that way she doesn’t lose him. She sets up her music and lays out her clothes next to the shower. Before steeping into the shower she made sure the puppy had gotten food and water then set him back on to the bed. Almost as soon as she stepped into the shower Christen was pulling up into the driveway. Since the music was on too loud Julie didn’t hear when the front door opened nor when their bedroom door opened.

In the center of bed their was the small black puppy taking a nap looking so peaceful. Christen couldn’t help to go to the puppy. He woke up and looked her as she laid down on to bed he moved toward Christen curling himself into her for warmth. By the time Julie gets out of the shower she saw her fiancé and their pup KO she couldn’t help but to take a picture of the seen in front of her. She walks over to wake up Christen to tell her she ruined the surprise.

Christen: “Can we keep him please J pleaseeeee”

Julie: “Well you ruined my surprise… look at his dog tag and you will have your answer”

DOG TAG = OSO PRESS- JOHNSTON

Christen: “You finally got me a puppy I been wanting one since like forever.”

Julie: “I know I was walking around the pet store and this little guy caught my attention I had it all planned out it was a surprise but you can home early from training and ruined it”

Christen: “I’m sorry I should of texted you that I was coming home early”

Julie: “Its okay plus you love the pup and he loves you so its all good now go shower cause you stink”

While Christen showered Julie put Oso his cute little #12 Chicago Cubs jersey that fit him perfectly she thought it would of fit him a bit big. Oso went straight to his bed right after getting dressed. Christen and Oso had built an instant bond it seemed Christen had picked him out.

Christen was taking pictures like crazy of Oso trying to get the perfect one. Once she had what seemed like a thousand pictures she chose the one to post. The angle was perfect making his bright green eyes stand out like Christens.

A few minutes later Julie’s post the picture she had taken when she had gotten out of the shower.

After they uploaded their pictures Oso began to make this way to his new mommies for some cuddles. Christen put him on her lap however he made his way on to Julie’d lap for cuddles. 5 minutes later they get a FaceTime all from Ali and Ashlyn.

Ali: “Thanks guys now she won’t shut up about getting a dog”

Ash: “Just look at Oso babe lets get one please”

Christen: “His perfect just look at him”

Ali: “Ashlyn you getting a baby its better then a dog”

Julie: “Ali’s right a baby is way much better”

Christen: “I get to have both in the future”

Ash: “You guys suck see u guys soon bring Oso too”

It was to early to cuddle that would leave to sleeping. Instead they grabbed their cleats to pass the ball around at the park near their house they debated on whether to take Oso or not. In the end they ended up taking Oso to the park they were happy their puppy was a soccer fan. He would run up and down the field chasing them well more like the ball.

Oso was dirty and Julie wasn’t going to allow the pup to sleep in their bed like that. Christen bathe him and brought him back into the bed once he was all clean and dry. While laying in bed getting ready to sleep Oso walks towards the couple to lick their faces before going to the foot of the bed to sleep.

The next morning Oso ended up sleeping on top of both Julie and Christen.

Julie: “Chris I don’t mind waking up to this but once we have mini Christens running around Oso isn’t allowed on the bed”

Christen: “Awww babe done deal I love you”
