Chapter 10
For their 1st year anniversary Julie took it upon herself to make it the best since she had ruin Valentines day by being sick. Instead of being a 1 day thing she’s plans a weekend. When she tells Christen she is more than happy to spend an entire weekend alone with her girlfriend in public.
Christen doesn’t know where they are going all she knows is that she had to pack for summer weather. The suitcases are on the jeep now its only Julie and Christen to get on to head to the airport. Once they arrive to the airport JJ wants their destination to be a secret so she sends Press to the airport Starbucks on the other side of the airport. “Baby I want some coffee can you go grab me some while I check into our flight?” she nods and goes to find the Starbucks who was packed ! !. By the time she got back it was almost time to board their flight. “Babe where are we going tell me please” “You are going to have to wait and find out what I can tell you is that your going to love it”.
As usual when they are on a plane they get as comfortable as possible and fall asleep on each other. Christen like always invading Julie’s personal space make herself comfortable and making her girlfriend uncomfortable. Julie didn’t mine at all as long as Christen was happy it was all good.Once they are about to land when Julie begins to wake Chris by kissing her forehead and whisper to her to get up. She eventually wakes when she hears the flight attended “We will be landing in Vancouver promptly We hope you enjoy you stay”.
“Babe really Vancouver where we got together a year ago?” Julie just nods her head yes. Julie had everything planned out to every little detail. They were the first to get off their plane since Julie had gotten first class seat and they didn’t have much luggage with them. Their ride (Erin & Ella) soon arrive to take the couple towards the Erin family vacation house Julie had borrowed for the weekend. Christen and Ella were talking about how both couples were celebrating their first year anniversary Christen had to remind Ella that she and her wife were the only ones who knew Christen and Julie were dating and they didn’t want the whole world to know just yet. Meanwhile Julie and Erin talked about their surprises and tricks up each other sleeves they had for their girls.
Once they finally settle in to the house they headed towards the room they would be staying in and changed into more comfortable clothes anything that didn’t have the USWNT logo so fans wouldn’t recognize them once they went out to explore the city. Julie was trying to keep Christen from going into the coffee shop where everything happen so she had everything planned out the opposite side of town. With the help of Erin who know whats was the best places in Vancouver. She had planned a nice long romantic walk that led to a picnic in a somewhat private area spot. Christen couldn’t believe that her girlfriend had everything so planned out being super duper romantic.
For their picnic they enjoyed some delicious sandwich which Erin and Ella had prepared for part Julie’s plan. The picnic was all prepared by the married couple it was very sweet of them to help out the couple. It was to help kill time for the real surprise Julie had later for Christen.
The late afternoon started settling in when they started getting ready for dinner. Since it was the day of the anniversary Julie had made reservations to a fancy restaurant and of course booked a table towards the back to give them more privacy. Since it was summer the girls wore summer dress exposing their tan lines Christen wore the diamond earring and necklace Julie had given her for Christmas and her birthday.
They enjoyed their Italian food along with some red wine. Italian food was their was their food when it came to deciding what they were going to eat. After dinner they walked around Vancouver exploring being the typical tourist. Christen was holding on to Julie’s arm instead of her hand as force of habit along with just in case a fan saw them together. After walking around for a couple of hours Christen began to complain her feet hurt from the heels she was wearing. They started walking towards the coffee shop.
“Babe take this off already it’s bugging me” “Almost a couple more seconds we are almost there” Julie led her girlfriend to the same coffee shop and table where they confessed their to each other a year ago. Julie removes the blindfold and orders their drinks and talked about what had happen a year ago at this same spot. This time it was different instead of Julie giving the gifts it was Christen. She puts a small black box with a red ribbon on the table before she slides it over to Julie she says “It is exactly what your thinking it is expect I’m not asking that just yet its a promise ring you mean so much to me I don’t ever want to lose you… “ Julie opens the box to a simple but very elegant promise ring. “I love it and I love you“
They take a cab back to the house once they stepped in to their room they began to take off each others clothes while keeping their lips locked on each other. Christen pulls back for some air “Bed now !!” Julie obeys.
The next morning Julie wakes up to some breakfast in bed. They spent the rest of their time in Canada cuddling until it was time to catch their flight.
Once they were bad to their own bed again “Baby this was the best anniversary ever !!” has she kisses Julie goodnight.
