Chapter 9
Julie felt better and decided to get into the shower before heading out to do some last minute thing. She sets out to find roses, chocolate covered strawberries and a heart shaped pizza along with some red wine (a weird combination but it was their favorite to have). She fines everything fairly quickly before heading back she stops by to get some medience in case she felt worst or Christen got sick as well.
Res makes her way back to their room only to find an empty room. She didn’t worry much she taught that her girlfriend had gone to the team doctor for some meds. JJ was making her way back to the hotel when she remembered she couldn’t walk in with all the items she had purchased. Then she remembers she could ask one of the staff members to deliver the items. She asks the first person she see ands tips them heavily and tell them to drop it off in an hour to her room has she finishes writing her room number on a piece of paper.
Christen hears someone trying to open their door she runs towards the door thinking the worst only to find her sick girlfriend coming in though the doors. Instead of greeting her with a kiss she greets her with “Why were you out of bed? Where were you?” “Babe you worry too much I just went on a walk since I was feeling better”. Christen believes what Julie as she making her way back to bed Christen decides to take a shower while Julie takes a nap.
~ An hour later ~
They had both ended up laying in bed together taking a nap but Julie begins to wake up when she begins to hear a knock on the door. - knock knock -. She jumped off the bed and rushes towards the door Christen begins to wake up since she felt Julie get out of bed and talking to someone at the door. She stays in bed however she grow’s impatient because Julie hasn’t come back to the bed with her. Julie sets everything on the floor expect for the flowers give her back to Christen. As Christen approaches her she turns around “Happy Valentines day babe I know I ruined your plans for today for the fact I was super sick this morning I know you had been planning this day for a while now….” Before she could say anything Christen cups Julie’s face and begins to kiss her to shut up. Julie pulls back first “Babe your going to get sick you shouldn’t of done that” “But I wanted too even when your sick your a hopeless romantic”. They picked up the pizza and all the other snacks and sat on their bed eating trying to pick a movie.
They spent the rest of the night watching movies and cuddling nothing compared to the time they spend in each others arms.
The next morning they had no alarm set up for the team breakfast everyone was down for breakfast expect JJ and Press. Jill asks Ali to go check on where they were at she gives her a key card to access the room. She goes up the the team floor finds the room and without thinking opens the door using the keycard. She walks in to see if they are their she finds a JJ and Press cuddling dead asleep. Like usual she takes a quick picture of them and begin to shake both of the girls in efforts to walk them up. Once they walk up Ali soon figures why they were late they were both sick.
They finally make it down with the team to have breakfast. Before they left to wondering around and being their crazy weird selves Ali and Ashlyn stand up and call for the teams attention. “Guy Ali and I have an announcement to make.. “ “So does Alex and I” as if on cue the Alexanders saying “Were getting married “ bring their hand up to show off their diamonds. The team is all excited and collecting money from the bets they had going on. Julie sees how happy Christen is for their teammates when she thinks to herself and says I want to marry this girl. “We are planning to get married in like a year or so after we are done with the olympics and the NWSL”
