Summary
Canon All Might had really no family besides kinda Gran Torino and Izuku. Here he has two daughters, among them Cathleen ‘Star&Stripes’ Yagi, and three granddaughters in the form of Po(ny), Anna and the ninth user of ofa, Melissa. Now the Yagi go to Melissa and Po’s first year of UA, meeting a bunch of colorful characters like Izuku and his plant-creature army, a foreign princess, noisy lesbian publishers, the mob, a hot and cold family drama, and the fact that their teacher sometimes is a mad scientist chicken farmer....Things get weird, but at least they have each other.
Note
So I actually want to apologize for a tiny thing. The characters’ ages. At some points, it’s really stated, but others it’s implied. At the end of the chapter, Toshinori is 61, Cathleen 42, Lilian 41, Anna 21, Melissa 16 and Po 15.

Remember how UA is a school

Ever since retiring, Toshinori did try to have more sleep. It wasn’t easy at first. He was a hardened hero, so of course he was used to getting up early to work out or rescue people. Over time, Nighteye and especially Cathleen and Lilian urged him to slow down, but he couldn’t just not save people.

But then he lost a couple of his organs, and in the span of a year he lost most of his muscles and weight. He even gave his quirk to one of his granddaughters. So now, he finally had time to rest..if his youngest granddaughter would let him.

Toshinori LOVED his three granddaughters. They and his two daughters were the things that kept him alive. While fighting All For One, he wouldn’t let himself die because he had to see them again. But while both Melissa and Anna were both calm, polite girls, Po had enough energy for all three. Cause in point, she was giggling next to Toshinori’s bed, already in her UA uniform.

“Gramps, we gotta go.”

“…It’s two at night, sweetpea. School doesn’t start in five hours.”

“But I’m so excited. Finally, I’m going to learn all the All Might techniques.”

“Well that can also happen in the morning. Now go back to sleep like Melissa.”

“Oh, Melissa is awake too. She’s just taking a leak.” As soon as Po said this, a flushing sound was heard before Melissa entered Toshinori’s bedroom, where she sat down next to Po and awaited her grandpa getting ready for work.

“….Go back to bed. Both of you.”

While Star&Stripes was fighting crime for her dad’s old agency Might Tower, now renamed to Night tower, Melissa and Po went to UA for their proper first day of school. And the first lesson they had was English.

“Alright, girls..and Midoriya. Let’s start with something fun, instead of the normal boring English grammar and vocabulary!” Mic yelled enthusiastically. “Imagine, you’re all high ranking heroes and have done a mission in a foreign country. You took down the villain, and reporters want to interview you. Ashido, you start.”

As he called Mina to the front of the classroom, Present Mic held a pen out like it was a microphone. “You defeated the bad guy, Miss. How did you do it?” He asked in English…which Mina didn’t understand.

“Um…H-Hot dogs!”

“…”

“Basketball…guns!”

“Do I even want to know what you think British English is?”

“Bloody hell crumpets!”

“You can sit down again, Ashido.” The English teacher sighed before calling for the next student. “Kodai, your turn.”

“……” Instead of speaking, Yui stared into his soul.

“..D-Don’t be shy, buddy.”

“Don’t bother, teach. Yui never talks.” Kyoka said with a smirk, with Yui just rolling her eyes.

“A-Alright….Yaoyorozu, could you please try?” Mic pretty much begged.

“Of course, mister teacher.” Momo said in English. “I defeated the villain by aiming for their weak spots, all the while I kept track of potential collateral damage or civilians who could potentially get injured if the fight got too close to them.” She said in perfect English. And clearly, Mic was very happy to have such a good student.

“…Excellent!” He cheered, clapping enthusiastically, causing Momo to blush while Kyoka and Itsuka rolled their eyes with a fond smile.

“T-Thank you, sir. In my upbringing, it was important to learn multiple languages. So I can also speak fluent French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Russian, and Indonesian.” The princess said..before actually doing it.

“Alright, we get it, your highness. You’re smart.” Kyoka and Itsuka sighed in unison.

“Heroism is art!” Next up was Midnight’s art class. And like most things, she was passionate about this. “And the way heroes bring hope to people is an art too, one not every hero has mastered. Infamously, Endeavor is a great hero, but lacks any sort of social skill.” The twilight heroine explained as Shoko shrugged. Her dad had gotten much better over time, but she couldn’t deny Enji had very little social skills. “So let’s not be like Endeavor. For this lesson, three of you will be models for the others to sketch. So strike a heroic pose..Any volunteers?”

“I’ll try.” Shoko said, raising her hand. And while some of her classmates weren’t sure if it was a good idea to have someone who couldn’t move half her body strike a pose, Midnight loved the enthusiasm. Still, she needed two more volunteers.

“We’ll do it!” Po yelled as she raised her and Melissa’s hands.

And so, Midnight had the pleasure of modeling a paralyzed girl, and two Americans. Soon the room was filled with the sound of pencils on paper as Midnight observed her students.

Izuku, sitting at his desk, focused on Melissa. He sketched his awkward yet determined stance. Her long blonde wavy hair, her glasses, and nervous energy were all there. “Nice work, Izuku,” Midnight said as she passed. His Pikmin meanwhile were drawing Po in various wild poses, as did Ochako, Mina, Tsuyu and Yui.

Lastly Momo focused on Shoko, capturing her calm, graceful posture despite the wheelchair. She added soft, deliberate strokes, making sure to show Shoko’s quiet characters. When Midnight came by, she smiled. “This is beautiful, Momo. You’ve really shown Shoko’s resilience.”

All in all, a successful lesson.

“Good morning, students.” Next up was Cementos with literature. “Who of you have read Animal farm?” He asked as a couple students raised their hands. “Good, what was the most famous sentence?”

“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Melissa and Momo said in unison before turning to each other. “Clearly it’s about the corruption of ideals. The original idea was equality, but as power shifts, those in charge manipulate words to justify their privilege. Just like how heroes start out wanting to save people, but some might lose sight of their duty and prioritize fame or politics over true heroism.” Melissa explained as she adjusted her glasses.

“Yes! It’s like how hero rankings create a hierarchy. In theory, all heroes are meant to serve justice, but those at the top get more influence, resources, and public favor, essentially becoming ‘more equal’ than others.” Momo added.

“And look at Endeavor’s rise! For years, All Might represented an ideal, pure and untouchable, much like Old Major’s vision in Animal Farm. But once he was gone, the number two hero rose to the top, trying to prove himself while dealing with a flawed system, just like Napoleon reshaping the farm’s rules to fit his own needs.” Melissa continued, excited now.

“Exactly! And Stain’s ideology is a perfect parallel to the animals rebelling against humans. He believes that only true heroes deserve the title, just like how the animals rejected humans yet unknowingly recreated the same inequalities among themselves.”

“Alright you, let’s calm down.” Cementos chuckled. “While I love the enthusiasm, we weren’t looking for a deeper meaning for the moment.”

“Then why do we have to read this dumb book?” Katsuki growled.

“Because when I asked you kids, only two of you actually read this very famous, relatively short book.” The cement hero sighed. “You kids should read more.”

Finally, it was time for heroics. And of course, Melissa and Po, in matching costumes inspired by their mom’s (Melissa’s was red, and had special gloves for OFA and a visor. While Po’s was orange, had no shoes, and had included a cowboy hat and small saddle), were the most excited to learn from their grandpa.

“Alright, everyone. The exercise is simple. I’m dividing you sixteen into teams of eight. One side is the heroes that have to take a fake bomb from the villains, who are the other team. Are there any questions right now?” All Might explained in his small form, which was pretty much his normal form now.

“What happened to you, mister All Might?”

“I actually meant about the exercise, Midoriya.”

“S-Sorry!”

“It’s alright. I understand that it might be weird to see All Might like this.” The retired hero chuckled awkwardly as Po immediately went to hug her poor grandpa. “Thank you, Po. But we need to start.” The former hero said before dividing the teams.

Team Heroes:

  • Melissa Yagi
  • Shoko Todoroki
  • Izuku Midoriya
  • Momo Yaoyorozu
  • Mina Ashido
  • Tsuyu Asui

Team Villains:

  • Pony Yagi
  • Itsuka Kendo
  • Ibara Shiozaki
  • Kyoka Jiro
  • Ochako Uraraka
  • Yui Kodai

“Alright, if we compare all our opponents, I’m assuming Shiozaki and Yagi are the biggest threats.” Momo in her costume (A sleeveless crimson gown that left her legs open, as well as a gold belt around her waist, red leather boots with gold buckles and a small silver crown adorned with rubies) said before sighing. “Though speaking from experience, Yui,  Kyoka and Itsuka aren’t pushovers. The latter even taught me all the self defense I know.”

“Meanwhile Uraraka’s quirk gives them great versatility.” Izuku added in his little space suit.

“This is going to be a hard one, but it’s not hopeless.” Melissa said with a determined tone.

“That’s the spirit, Melissa!” Mina cheered…But then Shoko spoke up. “How do we even win?”

“….I guess touching the bomb.” Momo answered, though she, like pretty much everyone, wasn’t sure.

As the hero team arrived at the entrance of the fake building, they immediately noticed their first obstacle…Vines, a lot of vines spread around the entrance like a minefield.

“Do you think Ibara can feel through them? That would be so fun.” Mina asked as she tickled the vines, which immediately wrapped around her arm. Fortunately. Shoko quickly burned it off.

“We need a way to get past these things.” Melissa mumbled as Izuku and Momo joined her in thinking of a plan, only for Shoko to put her hands down onto the floor, before freezing over the vines.

“How clever, Shoko.” Momo gushed as she gave her classmate a warm smile. But it wasn’t all smiles, because the heroes ran into more issues. One was stairs, because for all her training, Shoko had forgotten that she can’t go up stairs in a chair.

“We can carry you up the stairs.” Izuku suggested, only for the wheelchair bound girl to tell him its fine.

As the hero team went further into the building, it quickly became clear that Tsuyu wasn’t fully there. She was hanging back, swaying a bit, and had eyebags. So when the heroes came across their next opponent Ochako, the frog offered to deal with the gravity girl, having a quirk advantage over her. But then, even Ochako noticed it. “Are you alright, Tsu. You look tired.”

“I’m *yawn* fine, Ochako. Let’s do this, ribbit.” The frog said before charging at Ochako.

Meanwhile, Momo faces off against Yui, Kyoka and Itsuka. "I’m sorry, my lady, but we won’t go easy on you," Kyoka said with a smirk. Itsuka meanwhile was grinning from ear to ear, with even Yui smirking ever so slightly.

"That’s exactly what I expect from my most trusted allies.” Momo replied, summoning a bo staff. Momo then took a deep breath and quickly created a reinforced shield as well from under her dress, blocking both Kyoka’s first soundwave blast amd Yui’s giant screw. At the same time, she rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding a powerful punch from Itsuka’s enlarged fist. "You underestimate me.” The princess said coolly, using the moment to craft a small stun grenade. She threw it to the ground, and in an instant, a blinding light and loud bang disoriented her opponents. Seizing her chance, she used her staff to sweep her entourage’s legs.

A nice victory…if an easy one.

Izuku was the next one to stay behind to deal with the villains. His opponent was Ibara, whose vines kept trying to trap his Pikmin…only for all the Pikmin to start hugging Ibara.

At that point, Melissa and Mina went ahead while Izuku and Ibara tried to figure out what to do.

Soon, Melissa and Mina stood side by side. Opposite them, Po had positioned herself strategically near the fake bomb, her horns floating ominously around her like a protective shield.

“You’re not getting past me that easily,” Po said, her horns shifting into position, ready to strike.

Melissa tightened her gloves, feeling the familiar surge of One For All flow through her limbs. She had to control it carefully. Beside her, Mina cracked her knuckles, her usual playfulness replaced by sharp focus.

“Alright, Mina.” Melissa murmured. “I’ll go high, you go low.”

“Got it!” Mina grinned before she shot forward first, dodging as Po’s horns flew at her like a swarm of spears. She ducked under one, twisted around another, and fired a burst of acid at the third, melting it before it could hit her. “Gotta do better than that, Po-Po!”

Po huffed and quickly shot off more horns, launching them in a rapid-fire assault. Mina flipped over one and skidded low, splattering the ground with acid puddles to limit Po’s movement. But Po had an answer. She lifted herself off the ground with her horns, balancing effortlessly above the melting floor.

Melissa took advantage of the moment. She surged forward, One For All crackling in her limbs. She leaped high, twisting midair to come down with a powerful strike. Po’s horns shot up in defense, blocking the blow, but the sheer force of the impact sent a shockwave through the air, pushing Po back.

Po gritted her teeth and retaliated, sending a barrage of horns spiraling toward Melissa. Melissa ducked and weaved, feeling the wind whip past her as she narrowly avoided getting pinned. She caught one horn mid-flight, yanked it hard, and flung it aside, but another came sweeping in from behind, forcing her to spin away at the last second.

“Not bad,” Po admitted, floating higher. “But you’re not the only one getting stronger.” In a flash, her horns expanded outward, forming a shifting barrier around her. Then, with a flick of her wrist, they all shot forward at once, unavoidable. So Melissa braced herself, but then they heard a voice.

“Stop! Stop now!”

To the other students, it was just their teacher signaling that time was up. But to Melissa and Po, it sounded like something else. Like a memory. Like a grandfather pleading with his granddaughters to stop fighting, the way he had once before when Lilian had them share one doll from Italy.
