“PB, I don’t think we can keep this secret for much longer.” I said to my girlfriend Princess Bubblegum. “Someone is bound to find our secret place in the woods.” We looked at the shattered remains of the mirror that once separated us.
PB started to cry. “Your right Marshall. I don’t think we can keep our secret.” I got my guitar and fake wolf ears, and started playing her favorite song.
“Hey there, Little Red Riding Hood, you sure are lookin good. You're everything that a big bad wolf would want.” I howled, just to make her laugh. “Little Red Riding Hood, I don’t think even big girls should be walking through these spooky woods alone.”
“Stop it, Marshall!” shouted a voice behind a tree. “Leave my Princess Bubblegum alone!” The voice was familiar, and it sounded like a 14-year-old’s voice.
“Finn...” said PB. Finn jumped out from behind the tree.
“How long, PB! How long has this been going on?” Princess Bubblegum told the whole story.
“Well, when I first cloned you, your clones were in another universe. I created that universe for them, and them only. I created a mirror in this spot ...” she pointed to the broken remains of the mirror. “And I could look through it and see this other universe.
/ “Well, Marshall found the mirror. He saw me in it, and we fell in love. A few weeks afterwards, we kissed through the mirror. The mirror shattered, and the universes collided. Everyone from the parallel universe, except Marshall, had their memories from their universe erased.”
And that’s how the rumour started.
