Chapter 1
Isabella
“No more summer” I said as I slumped into a seat next to my best friend/crush Phineas Flynn. I picked up a name tag off my desk and wrote Isabella Garcia-Shapiro on it.
“I know” said Phineas. “Less time for inventing.” I looked up and saw Phineas’s hair was messed up. It always is.
I looked around to see who else was in our class. A girl with tan skin and long dark hair wearing a white jumpsuit. A boy with blond hair and a tie and buck teeth. A boy and girl with almost matching outfits (The girl’s hat had longer ears.) What a strange class.
The person in front of me turned around. “Hi, I’m Dewey” said the boy. Dewey was actually the most normal looking person here.
“I’m Isabella. Pleasure to meet you.”
The girl who had the hat with long ears said, “And I’m Fiona!”
“ATTENTION!!!!” boomed the teacher. “I’m Mr. Krabs, and I’m your geometry teacher for your freshman year in Melting Pot High. Now, I’m also the owner of the Krusty Krab, and we need a new fry cook. Anyone interested?”
The boy with the buck teeth stood up immediately. “I’d like to be the new fry cook for the Krusty Krab, sir!” He said with a high squeaky voice. “Ok, Mr... Spongebob Squarepants. You have the job.”
Class was rather boring. It was all just rules and stuff. We don’t have uniforms. We all eat at the same time, during our break period.
I started to doze off when Mr. Krabs said to the class at a rather loud pitch, “Now, pay attention. For every class you will have two teachers. As our school colors are blue and gold, we will have Blue Days and Gold Days. Today is a Blue day, so you will have all the teachers you have today on Blue days. You’ll have your other teachers tomorrow.
“Also,” he added “Both teachers do teach during the day, but they switch classrooms. It gets pretty confusing,”
Half the class nodded in agreement, including Phineas, and the other half looked utterly confounded, including me.
“Hey Phineas,” I whispered.
“Yeah?” he whispered back.
“Can you help me understand this at recess?”
“Yeah, sure,”
Internally I grinned. I had just landed a date with my crush! This year is going to be so great!
