Enid crawled her way through the vent after Yoko had explained to her where to go so she wouldn’t find herself in the wrong room. Enid followed the directions until she was finally by the air duct of Room 108. She looked through the cracks to see if she could see the assistant or bodyguard. The man seemed to be looking out the window, scratching it, as if he was trying to get out. The assistant was on the floor, her neck twitching.
Now was the time. Enid gently pulled the thing up so it wouldn’t fall and alert the two individuals. She then carefully let herself down, landing on her feet without making any noise. She instantly saw Wednesday’s purse laying on the ground next to the door. She sneaked up to it, her eyes on the bodyguard’s body. She didn’t want to make any noise going through her purse so she just grabbed it. Enid then walked over to the chair, carefully picking it up before placing it in front of the air duct. She got on the chair but then felt something grip her foot. She looked down, seeing the assistant who was looking straight up at her.
-H-Help- me., whispered the woman as blood still gushed out her neck.
Enid wasn’t the only one who heard it though. The bodyguard rushed up to her, tackling her to the floor. Enid groaned loudly, trying to get him off her while also trying to keep him from hurting her. She couldn’t even reach for her scissors, knowing that he would get her the second she'd try.
-Fucking brute- get off me!, yelled Enid, pushing his face away as he tried to bite her.
Suddenly, his head was hit with a chair. He fell to the ground, his body going limp. Enid looked up, seeing Wednesday looking down on her with the chair in her hands.
-You were taking too long., stated the girl.
Enid rolled her eyes and got up, handing the purse to Wednesday. She then eyed the chair. It was broken. You definitely could not stand on it anymore. The blonde sighed and looked at Wednesday again.
-Alright, I’m going to help you back up., said the blonde seriously.
-And let you see under my skirt? In your dreams., scoffed Wednesday.
-Right, cause I have nothing better to do right now than looking under your skirt. It’s not like this is a life or death situation. Now shut up and let me pick you up., replied Enid with a frown.
Wednesday glared at her but eventually gave in. She walked up to the air duct and then looked at Enid. The blonde placed her hand on Wednesday’s hips and helped her up. The smaller girl grabbed onto the duct and pushed herself up, her feet finding support on Enid’s shoulders. The blonde kept her eyes on the bodyguard’s body, not wanting to risk getting surprised again. Wednesday finally got into the vent and looked down at Enid.
-Alright, now help me up., said the blonde.
-You’re gonna dislocate my arm if I do., scoffed Wednesday.
-You’re just gonna leave me here?, replied Enid with a frown.
-I might., shrugged the smaller girl before disappearing into the vent.
Enid shook her head in disbelief, not believing what had just happened. She was about to curse Wednesday out before something was thrown down to her. They had grabbed clothes and made rope out of them. Wednesday was holding on to it, looking down at Enid.
-Are you coming of what?, commented the smaller girl.
-I hate you., sighed Enid.
-Good for you., replied Wednesday.
The blonde walked up to the air duct and then climbed up the handmade rope, getting in the vent. She pulled the clothes back up so no one could follow them. She was about to start crawling when she saw Wednesday glaring at her.
-What?, frowned Enid.
-Keep your eyes down while we’re crawling. Understood?, warned the smaller girl.
-If you have such a problem with wearing a skirt, why are you wearing one?, questioned the blonde.
-My manager dressed me today for the shoot. I don’t usually wear skirts., stated Wednesday with a shrug.
Enid wasn’t expecting a genuine answer.
-I won’t be inappropriate, just start crawling., said the blonde, as her eyes locked with Wednesday.
The smaller girl gave her a quick nod before turning around and starting to crawl. Enid kept her eyes on the vent, dragging the rope with her as she crawled. They eventually made their way back to the makeup room, where Bianca and Yoko were waiting for them. Wednesday jumped down, quickly followed by Enid.
-Okay. Let’s leave., said Wednesday as she took her car keys out.
-How? I can still hear people outside., frowned Bianca.
Enid suddenly had an idea.
-Yoko, do you still have that speaker in your locker?, asked the blonde.
-Yeah, why?, questioned Yoko.
-We’re gonna use it as a distraction. Grab your phone. Play any sound as loud as possible., said Enid with a nod.
-What sound?, frowned the younger girl.
-Just people talking. Literally play a random movie on Netflix or something., sighed the blonde.
-I don’t have any signal., shrugged Yoko.
-Don’t you have anything downloaded?, frowned Enid.
-Oh. Yeah. Last night’s movie., nodded the younger girl as she took her phone out.
She started playing the movie they had watched yesterday, the one that Wednesday had directed. Wednesday gave Enid a weird look that the blonde chose to ignore. The movie was now playing loudly down the hall through Yoko’s speaker. Enid walked up to the door, carefully pulling it open slightly. She could see people walking down the wall, jumping on each other to get there faster. The blonde looked back at the group and nodded, motioning for them to follow her. Enid got out of the room, holding the door open for them while Yoko made her way to the stairs, guiding them down. Enid had grabbed her handmade spear, ready to fight if needed. She followed behind them, keeping an eyes out. They started walking down the stairs silently, blood smeared on the wall and steps as they did. That is when they heard something or someone coming up the stairs.
