Everybody stopped doing what they were doing when they heard the shrill in the corridor. Wednesday motioned for her bodyguard to go check what was going on outside to which he nodded and just left. Enid did not have a good feeling about this. She then heard something crash outside. She got up and walked to the window, looking down and seeing a bus that had crash into a building. She could also see numerous people running around, clearly in panic. And that is when she spotted it. There was blood all around the bus. Lots of blood. Someone was trying to rip another person apart, clearly succeeding when Enid saw their guts hang out. The blonde’s eyes went wide and she immediately walked up to Yoko.
-We need to get out of here. Now., warned Enid seriously.
-What are you talking about? I have to finish the shoot with Miss Addams., frowned Yoko, refusing to go anywhere until the job was done.
-There are people outside killing each other. We need to leave, Yoko., repeated the blonde.
-Nonsense., scoffed Wednesday as she walked to the window, looking out.
She then saw the chaos unfold. Someone was biting another person’s neck, blood spraying out.
-What the fuck?, frowned Wednesday, not believing her eyes.
-Yeah, does that look like nonsense to you? Yoko, pack your things. We’re leaving., said Enid once again, needing to get somewhere safe.
Then someone banged on the door. Some random assistant that was working with Yoko opened it. Wednesday’s bodyguard stormed inside, attacking the assistant. Yoko gasped and froze, not know what to do.
-David, stop that!, yelled Wednesday but clearly in vain.
The bodyguard’s attention turned towards her. He let go of the assistant’s bloody body only to make his way up to Wednesday. But before he could get his hands on her, he was hit with a fire distinguisher by Enid, falling to the ground.
-Everyone out. Now!, yelled Enid, not giving them any other option.
The blonde grabbed the two and dragged them to the hallway only to find more people attacking and being attacked.
-Fuck. Okay, follow me., said the blonde as she tried to make her way down the hall.
-Enid, watch out!, screamed Yoko as a woman was storming towards the blonde.
Enid opened a door roughly, slamming it against the woman, watching her hit the floor. The blonde gave a quick look inside the room, not seeing anyone.
-Get in!, ordered Enid, holding the door open for Wednesday and Yoko.
The two rushed inside. Enid close the door behind herself and instantly started moving tables and shelves in front of the door. Enid was about to grab another table when she noticed someone under it. She grabbed the person and pulled them out, pushing them against a wall.
-Please don’t hurt me!, yelled the girl.
-Enid, put her down!, ordered Yoko.
-She could be like them., said Enid, watching her closely.
-I said put her down!, repeated Yoko, trying to pull her best friend away from her.
Enid let her go but kept her eyes on her.
-If you as much as just touch any of us, I will stab with you those scissors. Do you understand?, warned Enid.
-Oh shut up., replied Yoko as she hugged the girl tightly.
The girl hugged her back, her body shaking.
-It’s okay, Bianca. You’re safe., whispered Yoko.
Enid watched with a frown, having connected the dots but not caring if it was Yoko’s crush or not. She would make sure her best friend would stay safe no matter what. She then heard something behind her, turning around. Wednesday had turned on the TV.
-Stay home! Lock the doors! This virus can be transmitted by blood or saliva! It was found in a soybeans and products that contain soybean in general! Do not consume any soybeans at all! Do not-, started a reporter until the TV cut off, the screen reading ‘no signal’.
Wednesday pulled her phone out and tried to call someone.
-If the tv isn’t work, your phone won’t work either., stated Enid with a sigh.
-It was worth a try., replied Wednesday as she put her phone away.
-Landlines might still work., shrugged the blonde.
Enid sighed and walked around the room they were in, looking for any kind of weapon. She walked up to a random clothes rack and took every clothing piece off it along with the hangers. The girl then started pulling the thing apart until she had a pipe on her hands. She had broken the end of it off so it was sharp. Like a spear.
-Yoko, where are the stairs to go down?, asked the blonde.
-The door facing our door right now. Why?, frowned Yoko.
-We need to get out of her. We’re gonna go home, we’re going to pack our things, take a car and go away from the city., said Enid seriously.
-We won’t even make it out of here., scoffed Wednesday.
-We will. Did you bodyguard have a gun on him?, questioned Enid.
-No. But there’s one in the van. In the glove compartment., replied the girl.
-Okay. We’re going to make our way out silently. We’re then heading to your van. Do you have the keys?, asked the blonde.
-No. They’re in my purse in the other room., said Wednesday with a frown.
-Okay. I’m gonna go get them. You guys stay here and push these things in front of the door again. Only open the door when you hear my voice., ordered Enid as she gripped her handmade spear tighter.
-Are you insane?, frowned Yoko.
-She clearly is., nodded Wednesday.
-Do you have a better plan?, scoffed Enid.
-I do, actually., replied Wednesday with a shrug.
-Oh yeah? I’m all ears., said the blonde sarcastically.
-Instead of going through the door, go through the vents., stated Wednesday.
-That’s- That’s actually a good idea, yeah., nodded Enid as she looked up at the air ducts.
-How will go get up and inside them in the other room?, questioned Yoko with a frown.
-The chair I was sitting on. I’ll step on it and then pull myself up., replied the blonde.
-You can't take your spear with you., stated Bianca.
Enid looked up at the vents and nodded, knowing that she’s right. The girl walked over to a makeup table and then up to Enid.
-Here. Scissors., said Bianca.
Great. The thing Enid had threatened to stab her with. How ironic. She nodded at the girl as a thank you and then pulled a table up to the air ducts. She pulled the opening off and handed it to Yoko.
-I’ll be right back., said the blonde.
