I know that not everyone is a big fan of zombie apocalypse but trust me, the story will not be about survival only. If you've read my stuff, you know how messy my books get xd

After Enid was done watching the first movie, she decided to lean back and rest a little, knowing she will probably stay up late, talking to Yoko all night and catching up. Yoko had just broken up with her ex, so the blonde knew that there would be a lot of gossip and tea to catch up on. She leaned her seat back, glad that she’s in first class and therefore no one was sitting directly behind her. She grabbed a blanket that was under her seat and placed it on herself, getting comfortable. Once having found the right position, she closed her eyes and attempted to fall asleep. Unfortunately, her timing was quite bad.

Once she closed her eyes, she felt the plane moving up and down roughly. Turbulence. Enid saw the seatbelt sign turn on, also knowing that she should straighten her seat again, which she did. She sighed and looked around, seeing a few passengers tense up as the plane continued to move in ways it shouldn’t. Right on cue, a baby somewhere on the plane started to cry. Enid didn’t blame the kid, unlike some grown ups who were already looking around, trying to spot the child.

Enid was in the middle of observing all that as she felt something on her hand. The blonde looked at her hand, seeing the stranger’s hand gripping hers. Her eyes wandered up, seeing how tense the young woman was. The stranger’s eyes were shut, her jaw clenched and her shoulders tensed up. Enid didn’t really know how to make it easier for her, so she simply talked to her.

-So, where are you headed?, asked Enid with a little reassuring smile.

-Can’t tell you., replied the woman, her eyes still shut.

-Oh. Alright. Then how about you tell me something about yourself?, suggested the blonde.

-There’s nothing you can’t google., stated the stranger.

-Come on. I’m sure there’s something you could tell me about., said Enid, trying to distract her.

The stranger opened her eyes and glared at Enid. The blonde, unfazed, didn’t look away. She waited for a response, which she eventually got.

-When I was 4, I used to catch flies and mosquitos. I would rip off their limbs and then tape their severed bodies on the wall as a warning for the other insects., said the woman with a sigh.

-Well, that’s psychotic. I literally did the opposite. I would catch insects inside the house and free them, leaving them in my garden., chuckled Enid, watching the stranger closely.

-That’s absurd. You won’t gain anything from being kind to insects., shrugged the stranger.

-Well, you won’t gain anything from killing insects either., replied the blonde.

-Well, yes. You would finally have some peace and quiet., stated the woman, looking away again.

-You know, some say that, the way we treat insects or some animals reflects on who we are as a person?, said Enid, not taking her eyes off her.

-Yeah? So you’d be a weak link, thinking that the world is pink. That you’d solve everything with happiness and love, Miss Sunshine., scoffed the woman.

-Well, I’d prefer that over being a heartless and lonely little bitch., shrugged Enid.

She watched as the woman instantly looked at her, glaring. Enid knew that she had probably gone too far and that she had just been incredibly rude to a celebrity. But to be fair, the celebrity had started it.

-You know, all it takes is for me to call my bodyguard and he’ll end you., warned the stranger.

-So what I’m hearing is that you can’t fight your own battles?, replied the blonde.

-Watch your mouth., said the woman.

-Yeah? Well then you should watch your hand., shrugged Enid, not caring about helping her through the turbulence anymore.

The stranger clearly didn’t like that response, ripping her hand away from Enid’s in a second. Enid rolled her eyes at the childishness of the girl, not caring anymore. The blonde went back to trying to rest, closing her eyes and ignoring the funny feeling in her stomach whenever the plane would move weirdly. She got comfortable once again, ready to sleep. Enid could hear the stranger’s breath being quicker than it should be. She tried her best to ignore it, feeling like the stranger didn’t deserve her help or attention. Unfortunately for Enid, she wasn’t the type of person who would just look away when someone needs help. The blonde sat up and look at the girl.

-Are you gonna let me help you or are you going to get mad again?, asked the blonde.

She received a glare from the stranger so she let out a scoff.

-Fine. Be my guest. At least panic in silence., replied Enid, leaning back on her seat.

There was a moment of silent before the stranger spoke up.

-How?, said the girl, seemingly out of breath.

-How what?, frowned Enid, looking at her.

-How can you help me?, asked the stranger.

-Well, while we were talking earlier, you were distracted so you calmed down again. But when we stopped talking, you went back to panicking., shrugged Enid.

-So we just…talk?, asked the girl.

-Yeah. Trust me, talking helps., nodded the blonde.

The stranger simply nodded in response, looking back at Enid.

-Okay, I’ll go first. I’m on this plane because I’m going to visit a friend I haven’t seen in years and I’ll probably crash at her place until I get back on my feet., said Enid with a shrug.

-Do you always overshare with strangers?, asked the girl with a scoff.

-Do you always act like a bitch to people who are trying to help?, responded Enid, raising an eyebrow.

-Hm. Not bad. Well, I’m on this plane to go to LA so I can promote a project of mine., stated the girl.

-A project, hm? What kind?, wondered the blonde.

-You don’t know who I am?, frowned the stranger, looking at her all confused.

-Well, I can see that you’re some sort of celebrity. But no, i dont know who you are., replied Enid truthfully.

-That’s…refreshing. I had guessed that you were trying to talk to me because of who I am., stated the girl.

-Nope. I don’t even know your name., shrugged the blonde.

-Hm. Maybe we should keep it that way., said the stranger.

-Why?, frowned Enid, now her turn being confused.

-So you won’t go google me afterwards., shrugged the girl.

Enid chuckled a little, finding her reaction amusing. She had expected a celebrity to be offended that she didn’t know them, but no. This one was just glad to keep her anonymity. Enid and the stranger spent the rest of the flight talking about random things, dropping random fun facts and trying not to get personal.
