Animal Ears (Nick x Luke)
Living in the apocalypse was hard, a lot of the time you were just straight up depressed and there was hardly ever those good moments that reminded you of how things used to be before everything went to shit. So when those moments did happen, you cherished them, you tried to hold them out for as long as possible. Nobody knew this was true better than Nick and Luke did. Being lovers in the end of the world was one of the hardest things; they hardly ever got any time together and they were always worried about losing one another. Arriving at the lodge was good for a while, at least, but it quickly ended like everything always did with them. The first night was the best for them, they slept together for the first time in a long time, ending up just laying there and holding hands after. Nick, being the way he was, soon got bored of laying there and went off exploring their room. "Holy shit, dude, you have to see this." Nick grinned widely as he sat a box on the bed. "Look at what I found." He pulled out two headbands with animal ears on them. He placed the zebra print on his boyfriend's head and the cheetah ones on his own. "They're cute, Nick, but we both know I'm the predator between us." Luke winked at him, making Nick blush and the blush made Luke's heart flutter as he tugged him into a tight hug. "I love you, man."
