Chapter 8

Elphaba walked into Glinda's apartment and practically fell onto the couch.

"Elphie, wanna watch a movie?" Glinda said, and pulled out a blanket, and TV remote.

"Err... Sure, I don't care what genre it is, just pick one that has a good plot." Elphaba said and looked over at the TV. She didn't really care at all about the movies genere, she just wanted to watch it with Glinda.

"Okay! Romance it is." Glinda said, and sat right next to Elphaba. Glinda leaned on Elphaba and started to pick a movie.

"Uh... Glinda? No offense... But why are you so... Close?" Elphaba asked, a confused expression on her face.

"H-Huh? Oh. I guess i just did it on impuse, heh-" Glinda said, and immediatley scooched a little farther away from Elphaba.

"No, uhm- its fine." Elphaba said and smiled as she pulled Glinda in closer. These feelings were confusing, but she thought she might aswell just act on them instead of not acting on them to understand what this feeling was.

"Oh, okay." Glinda said, and smiled as she put her head on Elphaba's shoulder as the movie started to play. Elphaba let her arm go around Glinda's waist cautiously.

"Hey Elphie?" Glinda asked some point through the movie.

"Yeah?" Elphaba responded.

"Do you... Uhm... Would you like to u-uhm... Continue doing stuff like t-this?" Glinda asked, smiling nervously as she started to sit up.

"Yeah, sure." Elphaba said, and smiled at Glinda.

After a while, they sat and watched the movie in comfortable scilence, the sound only occasionally broken by one of the two girls getting up. Eventually when the movie ended, Elphaba went down to her car to leave.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Glinda." Elphaba said, and hugged Glinda gently before Glinda responded to the hug with a rib crushing hug in return.

"I better, or else im opening the bandages to my arm by myself, Elphie." Glinda playfully threatened. Elphaba laughed and pushed her away jokingly, trying to get to her car. (Not)

"Okay, okay. I actually need to go now." Elphaba said, and waved goodbye to Glinda before driving off.

Elphaba smiled as she drove back to her house, the hug still lingering on her body.

The next day, Elphaba was writing down a plan for what she would make her class do before winter break in a few months. She was jotting down plans, and every so often distrating herself by thinking about Glinda. (Not that that mattered or anything...) She eventually finished, and set her notes down as she grabbed a history book of one of the many bookshelves in her classroom.

Elphaba sat back down at her desk, and started reading. She liked how brutally honest history was, well... the truthful ones that did not spill lies. She was reading until the bell rung, and she got up to teach her next class, then she could prep.

"Class. If any of you did not do the homework, i need a reason. not an excuse..." Elphaba said, and collected the essays.

"I'm expecting you to write a summary of chapter 18 from the textbook by the end of this hour. Yes, you can listen to music aswell." Elphaba said, and sat back down at her desk to read. She eventually made it halfway, and jotted some ideas down on her notepad about the book.

A few knocks on the door came after a few minutes, to Elphaba, it was like everyone bothered her in this hour. She sighed, and opened the door. Tibbett was at the door, and smirking. Elphaba sighed again and rubbed her temples before she started talking to him.

"Tibbett, what do you need?" Elphaba said, and looked at Tibbett with a death stare.

"Ermm... Just a romance book. You still have those, right?" Tibbett asked, smiling.

"U-Uhm." Elphaba looked over and saw some kids turn to look at them. Her face flushed an agressive shade of violet, and she glared even harder at him. (If it was even possible...)

"Ugh... Fine, just come over here." Elphaba muttered, and walked over to a small bookshelf behind her desk.

"Like, the good type. Crope and I want to read something good." Tibbett added, receiving a heavy sigh.

Elphaba eventually pulled out a book, and handed it to Tibbett. He smirked at her, and gave her 10 bucks before walking off happily. Elphaba put her head on her desk and started questioning her ideas to become a teacher. She heard a few students start to murmur, and she started questioning her own existence. She did like romance, actually. But she perfered to read it alone in the privacy of her own home, but sometimes she did want to read a romance novel in her classroom. But it didn't matter much. (Oh, yes it did.)

When the bell finally rang, Elphaba sighed in relief, relishing in the scilence since this was finally her prep hour. Eventually, she finished her idea. A timeline, it wasn't too easy, and wasn't too hard either. She made her notes, so it would be more complicated.

"Fae, you there?" Fiyero asked, and let himself in anyway.

"what do you want...?" Elphaba muttered, she was reading more of her history book.

"I was wondering... Did you do something to Glinda?" Fiyero asked.

"What? No... Why?" Elphaba responded, her gears started to turn as she tried to figure out what Fiyero was talking about.

"She seems... Confused, and is constantly flushing when she hears your name." Fiyero added. And oh, was Elphaba screwed...
