Chapter 5
Elphaba was walking out of the building, it was about... 2 hours after the school day had ended, and she just needed to go home and shower, it was a Friday for fucks sake... She had no plans, she was just planning on rotting on her couch while reading something, maybe crave the attention of talking to someone and go to the cafe and act like she wasn't there to talk.
"Elphie! J-Just wait!" Glinda shouted, and Elphaba could hear the footsteps running after her, and turned around. Glinda was waving her arms, and by the time she reached Elphaba, she crashed into her and almost made them both fall over.
"Eughh... My hairr.." Glinda mumbled, re-stablizing herself, and brushing off her dress and sweater.
"You okay?" Elphaba said, there was a very subtle shade of voilet on Elphaba's cheeks, and Glinda took notice to that. But she just thought she was getting sick, and brushed it off.
"Y-Yeah!-" Glinda said, smiling and brushing off some dirt on Elphaba's face.
"Yup... so uh, what did you want?" Elphaba said, smiling and tilting her head.
"Well... Im inviting the boys over tonight for some drinking at my house, and was wondering if you wanted to join, and yes. Only today, because if i drink too much on saturday, or sunday, my hangover is going to feel like shit when we come back." Glinda stated. She then looked at Elphaba, her gaze softening.
"I... I'll see, Glinda." Elphaba says softly, smiling back.
"Okay then! I'll text you, or you can text me." Glinda says, and before walking away, playfully winking at Elphaba.
Elphaba just stood there, and smiled while walking over to her car. She started driving over to her house while thinking about Glinda's offer. She was going to go, even if she would get mercilessly teased. Just because she wanted to be with her friends.
Elphaba opened up the group chat they all had together, smirking at the 50+ Missed messagaes.
Glinda:Okay, who's coming? My parents came over and now i have the FaNcy wine.
Crope:Okay, im bringing more beer though, sometimes that wine sucks ASS.
Fiyero:Im just coming to piss off you guys. Ill bring the deserts!
Boq:I Don't have a choice if i can come or not, Fiyero is just going to drag me there...
Tibbett:Fucking suck on it, Boq. Your going to LOVE us.
Glinda:Oh my god you idiots. if ur coming say "wine"
Fiyero:WINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINEWINE
Tibbett:Wine
Crope:Winezies
Boq:... as i said, i dont have a choice.
Elphaba:Im not typing that into the chat.
Elphaba put her phone back into her bag, ignoring the massive amount of texts that had come soon after. She went to her house, and rushed in to grab her booklight, and a few books. She then walked out back over to her car.
Glinda was setting up a big bowl of snacks on the table and putting on a TV show. She knew they all were going to be over and was especially excited to see Elphaba. She sat down on her couch, and watched the show while waiting patiently. She eventually heard banging on the door, it was Fiyero.
"Hey, Glin. Nice place you got here." Fiyero said, walking in and practically collapsed on the couch.
"Fifi, you were literally the first one to see this house, dont play around." Glinda said, chuckling.
"Well, it looks diffrent every time i come over, thats all." Fiyero said, and smiled. Eventually a bunch of more knocks come from the closed door, aswell as muffled yelling.
Glinda concerningly looked over at the door, and walked over to open it. Elphaba, Boq, Crope, and Tibbet were all arguing about if Fiyero or Glinda would open the door.
"See, i told you guys it would be Glinda. Have more faith in her, its her house anywayay." Elphaba said simply, walking up to Glinda and hugging her.
"Hello Elphie..." Glinda said, her voice a little poutier.
"Oh, she's done it now." Boq said, walking in and cracking open a beer to pour into shot cups.
"What did i- oh." Elphaba said, looking at Glinda's pout, and softening.
"You didn't talk to me... all day!" Glinda said, looking absolutely devastated.
"A-Ahh... Ohh... I'm so sorry, I was just busy toda-" Elphaba was cut off by a bigger hug, and both of them just stood there for a while before Elphaba had also embraced Glinda.
"You two just need to Kiss already!" Crope yelled, startling both of the girls.
"Crope, why do you always speak my mind." Fiyero said, chuckling and grabbing a bag of gummy bears from Elphaba's hands.
"Guys, let's just start drinking already, i need to forget im here..." Boq said, sighing and handing all of them a shot glass.
"Y-Yeah... Okay." Elphaba said, closing the door.
A few hours later, everyone was debating a game to play while they definatley werent sober.
"Erhmm.. Never have i Ever!" Fiyero yells, smiling.
"Wait, the one where you drink if you've done it?" Tibbett said, tilting his head.
"Yeaahhh... that one..." Boq said sloppily.
"Boq, you absolute lightweight..." Glinda said, chuckling. She was on the couch with Elphaba, and was tipsy.
Elphaba felt like she was dying, a flush was creeping up her skin as Glinda's hand grazed it. She was trying as hard as possible to not look fazed while downing shots to forget.
"Okay, okay... Ill start." Crope said, happily sitting in Tibbett's lap.
"Never have i ever... Kissed someone in this room." Crope continued, drinking the full shot, even though it wasn't required.
"Oh man, of course i have... I've kissed like- all of you people execpt for Elphaba." Fiyero said, taking a gulp of his beer. Boq went silent as he downed a shot, looking down.
"Oh my gosh Boq, Spill." Tibbett said, taking a sip of his drink.
"Just Fiyero on a new years party, it dosen't matter..." Boq mumbled.
"Uhh... everyone execpt Elphie, and Boq." Glinda said, and shrugged as she drank her gifted wine from her parents.
Elphaba didn't drink she just sat there, quietly contemplating becoming friends with all of these people since the second to last year of her in colledge.
Glinda noticed, and smirked. She sat closer, and the side of her body was now fully pressed on Elphaba's, and was now looking at her.
"S-Something wrong...?" Elphaba muttered, her cheeks were slightly flushed, she seemed drunker then she let on, since she was less sharp. She looked nervously at Glinda, her face flushing darker.
"Mm... No. I think your just cute, thats all." Glinda said, and kissed Elphaba's cheek before getting up for a refill on her drink. Elphaba sat there while everyone was talking, she felt hotter then usual, and she was contemplating whatever just happened.
"Fae, whats your type?" Fiyero said, turning to Elphaba. Elphaba just assumed they were talking about their types. (Which was right)
"I don't really care, just a good personality." Elphaba stated, and took a sip of her drink.
"Okay, so you could technically date Glinda?" Boq asked, and Elphaba didn't really care about opinions right now, so she just responded simply. (The alcohol was definitely getting to her head.)
"Yeah sure, she's nice." She said simply, and everyone went silent.
A distant fall of a glass shattering came from across the room. The glass was full of water, but Glinda's face was bright red. She had definitley heard what Elphaba had just mindlessly said.
"Wh... Oh." Glinda said, her face flushing a darker red, and started picking up the glass.
"Oh- im so sorry, let me help." Elphaba said, and chuckled while helping Glinda pick up the glass
There was absolutely no way Elphaba had a clue about what the hell she was doing.
