Chapter 2

The cut wasn't really effecting Glinda's work, but she felt like it was putting an impact on how much she could teach. And by the time lunch rolled around, she was exhausted... Fiyero strolled into her room with Boq, the schools Band Director.

"Glin! look at who finally agreed to come to this precious room for lunch!" Fiyero said, with a big smirk on his face. And Elphaba appeared shortly after, smirking.

"So, he finally joined us?" Elphaba joked, sitting on a desk near Glinda's Desk.

Ohh.... Glinda was Absolutely screwed. Was she flirting with her? Did she just need some notes? Glinda's face was absolutely and positively Pink... And she did an incredible job with Horribly hiding her flushed face, until she had accidentally moved the arm she had cut in a weird way.

"Gah! -" Glinda yelled, yanking her arm towards herself. Her arm started to throb with pain, and she rubbed it, looking at the bandages wrapped around her arm. The room had quieted down since Glinda had yanked her arm back, and Elphaba got up and close enough so Glinda could understand she was there, but not too close to where she got overwhelmed.

"Hey Glin, maybe you should take the next few days off." Fiyero said, his voice muffled by a half of Boq's sandwich.

"Wait... what even happened? Was i here? Gosh... I feel like i get LOST in that band room..." Boq said, taking a bite of the other side of his sandwich.

"Glinda cut herself, on accident." Elphaba muttered.

"U-Uhhmm..." Glinda muttered, feeling a little overwhelmed.

"My arm just hurts a little. I'm okay." Glinda smiled, before sitting in her chair, and pulling out a few cinnamon buns in a container. Her arm was still throbbing, but she didn't want anyone to bear the burden of caring for her, so she opened the container, and started eating.

Cinnamon buns were always Glinda's favorite thing to eat on days like this, she would remember when she was a child and would sneak them from the kitchen when she was supposed to be asleep, and during stormy nights, she would eat them while covering her ears with pillows while she hid in her closet.

She stared at the cinnamon bun for a long time, and smiled to herself, remembering all of those fond memories. After a while of staring, she put one in her mouth and immediately started smiling. Watching Elphaba, Boq, and Fiyero argue and bicker.

"But the math doesn't add up, idiot." Elphaba says sternly, obviously annoyed with whatever Fiyero was spilling about.

"But... The plush was so cute! It was worth 99.99 dollars!!" Fiyero yells and pulling out the plush.

"Fiyero... What the FUCK is that..." Boq said, before bursting out in laughter. Fiyero was holding a super small cat plushie, full of beans of some sort.

"YERO!!" Elphaba yelled, before howling out in laughter with Boq.

Before Glinda could talk again, the bell rung. All of them got startled, and Elphaba immediately ran over to the table she set her stuff down on and packed it up. Fiyero just slowly put his stuff back, a small frown on his face, because of how they made fun of the bean cat plush. And Boq was already ready, and walking out of the door without a goodbye, putting in earplugs for the band noises he was about to suffer through.

"Hey, Glinda. Your arm okay? You know, you can always come over to mine so i can check it." Elphaba said, while cleaning.

"E-Ehmm.. sure. Tonight?" Glinda said, smiling. She felt strangely excited.

"Yeah, tonight." Elphaba said, and both of them turned around to see Glinda's entire class staring at them, some with phones, recording.

Both of them froze right in their tracks. Faces flushing and looking horrified.

"So tonight then, okay... Bye, Glinda! -" Elphaba said, before genuinely sprinting away.

The class was staring at Glinda.

"Well... At least Ms. Upland finally got a girlfriend." One of the students said, making the whole class start to chatter about whatever the hell had just happened.

Glinda was confused, to say the least. How long was the class even watching them for? But she couldn't think about that, so she started her lesson.

Elphaba had no clue what she was going to do, Glinda Upland... At her dirty house? She did have prep for this hour, so she could think while writing out an essay for her class to write. But she couldn't really think with Fiyero watching her like a flipping hawk...

"Fiyero... what the hell do you want...?" Elphaba asked, turning to him.

"Oh yeahh... Are you and Glin dating yet?" Fiyero asked, sitting on the desk closest to hers.

"W-WH.... What...? -" Elphaba asks, her face slightly flushing a prominent shade of violet.

"Oh. My. OZ!-" Fiyero yells, smiling and standing up.

"What the hell is it...?-"

"You. The great Elphaba Thropp, are BLUSHING!" Fiyero yelled, aggressively smiling.

"What?!- n-no I'm not! -"

"Oh yes you are."

"Get out of my classroom." Elphaba said, face still violet while Fiyero rose his hands up, and left her room. She didn't like Glinda. She wasn't supposed too anyway. She didn't really know if she still could like girls. She remembered how her father talked about it so badly when she left that horrible house. But the memories were blurred right now, so she walked to the staff room to grab a coffee.

When the school day had finally ended, Glinda was packing up her stuff carefully. She had a lot on her mind, just random stuff that happened with her in the past was on her mind, but she loved her students, since they helped her forget. She started to clean up but stopped when she took a moment to look at the atmosphere of the room. and...

It honestly looked perfect... So, she grabbed a canvas and started to pull out some watercolors from her desk she used for special projects. After setting down the bases, and taking a picture of the atmosphere, she set the canvas on her desk and got back to cleaning up the room. Cleaning came naturally to Glinda, since she had usually gotten showered with love when doing so, so she usually cleaned a lot.

Two knocks from the door startled Glinda, then she realized who it was with one look at the person opening the door.

"Elphie! I thought you were joking about going to your house!" Glinda said, a big smile appearing on her face as she ran up to Elphaba and hugged her.

"E-Eh... whaa..? I would never lie to You." Elphaba said, and smiled happily while embracing the hug, running her hands through Glinda's hair.

"Okay, let's go to my dirty house." Elphaba deadpanned.

Glinda gasped in Suprise.

"Elphie... I love your house! Dirty or not." Glinda said, matter-of-factly.

And they walked out of the art room as the sun finally set.
