Congratulations! You're hired!

Bakugou Katsuki doesn't know how to live with himself. He has been going to anger management on top of therapy on top of doctors appointments.

He is learning how to control his anger, is working through forgiving himself for Midoriya's death, and is even been put on medication by his doctor. It was a long process but Katsuki's guilt was his determination.

Oh. Yeah an important detail. Katsuki doesn't let himself call Midoriya Deku anymore. It's Midoriya until he can learn how to fully fix the uncountable wrongs he committed against Midoriya.

"Hey, brat!" The mother of Katsuki, known as Bakugou Mitsuki, yelled to get his attention. There were no real bite in her words. Truth be told she was worried about her kid, though she would never admit it if Katsuki was within earshot.

"What do you want hag?" He sounded so tired. So done with the world that took the only kid that could be considered a true friend. Even though Katsuki had fucked up that friendship a long time ago.

"Start getting ready! We're going to met up with Inko for lunch! You can continue studying when we get back!"

Cringing at the thought of having to see Auntie Inko Katsuki sighed and put away his textbooks and worksheets..

One of the things he was working on was realizing he wasn't always going to be the best and therefore would have to work for his place at UA. Hence the studying, his logic used to be 'Why waste my time when someone else can do it for me?'

Yeah.... he had his work cut out for him. He had been a total asshole and that was going to take a while to change.

Izuku was really good at making himself look older than he actually is. Most would say it was his eyes. They would be described as hollow and shadowed and in no way were they the eyes of a 14 year old boy. Maybe the eyes of a 65 year old man who had seen the horrors of war.

That would be a much more accurate description.

It was easy to mistake him for a 16 year old with his eyes and hair. Which was now styled in an undercut. When he had escaped the League the hair that touched his neck reminded him too much of Shigaraki sneaking up behind him and gripping his neck from the back. So he shaved it himself. All he had to do was ask one of his new neighbors and boom he had a clipper lended to him

His new neighbors were really nice. They didn't ask questions but weren't afraid to lend a helping hand to their underage 'child' neighbor.

Thanks to them he was eating twice a day and they even all pitched in to get him his laptop. They understood that wherever he was coming from was rough and he would need all the help they could get him.

That's why Izuku made sure to pay back in the only way he could. Keeping the crime rate so low that nobody had a single thing to worry about.

Having just finished lunch with Mrs. Komekio, who lived a floor below, Izuku got ready to go on a nice walk before he had to do school for the day.

Pulling on a long sleeved undershirt to hide his scarred arms from the rest of the world he layered a plain white t-shirt on top of it. Keeping on his cargo shorts and red high tops he hid his face with a surgical mask. Thank the heavens those weren't out of place.

Izuku wandered aimlessly around his little corner of the world. Stopping by a couple mom and pop shops to say hello to the owners, helping a few people that dropped something, and even helping chase down a dog that got free of it's leash.

See, everyone knew Izuku. He was the friendly face that always lended a hand. Except they all thought he was a sixteen year old boy named Momiko Hisashi.

"Hey Momiko-kun! Do you still need a job?" Izuku tilted his head towards the voice.

"Of course Kiko-sama! Nobody seems to want to hire me." Izuku pouted even though the older blonde couldn't see it.

"Why don't you come and work for me then? You can be my personal field assistant!" She offered, pointing to the now hiring sign in her shop window.

See, Kiko-sama ran the local news station that covered everything in about a 100 mile radius. The ratings were nothing to scoff at either. While it was a relatively small station compared to the big ones it was the most reliable in the area.

A slow grin crept onto Izuku's face.

"I would love too Kiko-sama, but you would have to show me the ropes. I've never done journalism before!" He gave a small nervous chuckle, it was true he had zero experience in the journalism filed. Maybe his years of obsessive note taking would count for something.

Kiko-sama just gave him a reassuring smile. "Of course! You can start tomorrow, I'll get Jumi-san to explain the basics to you. Then we can go out and take the news world by storm!" She waved before ducking back into her office.

Perfect. Now Izuku had a news outlet that he could gather information from while knowing if it was true or not.

With a new bounce in his step Izuku headed back to his apartment so he could get school done before patrol. Maybe tonight he would catch wind of some of the Leagues plans to add to his boards.

He should really figure out a way to start making his boards clearer, one minute he would be working on the League and somehow his yarn trail led to something about Touya.

Maybe adding theories after patrol wasn't the best idea. His sleep addled brain was definitely messing up the strings.
