I'm Alive.

It's been 5 months since Midoriya Izuku's disappearance, 3 of those months he has been 'dead'. His mother, Inko, was devastated when the police showed up at her doorstep to announce his death.

Yagi Toshinori was in a similar state of grief. He had known Young Midoriya for less than a day and yet he destroyed the boy's dreams. Why? That boy needed someone to believe in him other than his mother, his eyes had been so full of determination and hope until he had delivered those crushing words.

Unbeknownst to everyone other than his parents Bakugou Katsuki was crushed as well. 'Deku' had been the victim of Katsuki's bullying for years and the day he disappeared was the day he told him to 'Take a swan dive off the roof of the building and hope for a quirk in his next life'.

Guilt was an entirely new emotion for Katsuki. He hated it with a passion and decided to work with a couple of therapists to make him a feel better and be better.

There was something they all didn't know though. Midoriya Izuku was very much alive and had recently escaped his tormentors. It took him five months of torture to escape the League. The scars and memories are evidence of the warfare done on the poor boy.

The once hopeful gleam in his eyes was the first thing that disappeared. Next was his habit of muttering. Then his tendency to cry. Those habits earned him multiple new punishments if one of the League found him doing it. Once he found the means to escape he did so without a second thought.

He stole money from the League and bought an apartment under a fake name. It took everything in him not to rush to his mother's apartment and tell her everything was okay, he was alive. But the League was on his tail. So that option was very much off the table.

Thanks to the fear of his father, the awful bastard, his mother was untraceable and therefore he didn't have to worry about her being in too much danger. The only way he would ever be able to return home would be if the League was neutralized.

Time to get to work.

"Today we have been asked to hold a moment of silence for the child known as Midoriya Izuku by his grieving mother and a few pro heroes. Today is the 6 month anniversary of his disappearance. The ch-" Izuku turned off the TV with a growl.

He's alive. Not dead dammit. Raking his hand through his hair he paced the length of his apartment staring at the corkboard covered in pictures, newspaper clippings, and red string. It had been his favorite past time this past month as he recovered

There were multiple boards covering the wall, the lowest were only a few feet off the ground. The League had yet to do anything drastic and therefore were the most annoying criminals to track down. He had quite a few leads on other organizations though.

It's only been about a month since his escape and he has been training his body as much as he could while he healed. It was probably slowing down his healing period but he had to get rid of the League fast.

Luckily, one of the League's favorite punishments was to put a shock collar around his neck and force him to run laps without stopping. They found it amusing to see the scrawny boy known as Midoriya Izuku push himself to the point of fainting.

He's been going out at night and fighting criminals as part of his training. It wasn't fun when a criminal would hit a wound unknowingly but he had to do what he had to do. He was starting to earn a name for himself amongst the hero and villain community alike.

"UA entrance exams are in 4 months. That means that the League will most likely attack soon. Attacking the newest batch of heroes will let them earn a name for themselves as well as a standing amongst other villains." Izuku thought aloud.

Being on his own for so long has let him pick up the teeny habit of talking to himself. It's been six months since he's had real, healthy, non-damaging, contact with a human, nobody can blame him for going just a little crazy.

He sighed as he stared at the picture of the Todoroki family. The youngest, Shouto, was going to be a problem. If he knew Endeavor then the poor kid was going to be closed off and determined to show his old man up. Not a good combination for the upcoming vigilante.

He also had a few leads on that missing Todoroki child, Touya, and if word on the street was anything to go by then he was in for a real headache.

Puffing his cheeks out in frustration he sat back down on his mattress, that was lacking in the bed frame department, and opened his laptop. He had online school to get done after all. He could worry about the Todoroki's later when he was on his nightly patrol.

Aizawa Shouta was having a bad day.

First, he had seen the news and the moment they held for that kid Midoriya, that case was still an open wound for most heroes in the area. They knew they had let that family down and there was nothing they could do about it. It was far too late.

Then he was told that All Might was going to be teaching at UA this upcoming year.

And the absolute cherry on top was Tsukauchi enlisted him to try and get the newest vigilante off the streets before he could harm himself too terribly.

He's only been on the streets for a little over two weeks but his name was already circulating in the streets. His husband felt quite sorry for whatever villains were unfortunate to get in Aizawa's way as he stomped out of the apartment.

Sighing was a normal thing for Aizawa. When you're married to the voice hero Present Mic and taught high school it was pretty common. So when he sighed while chasing down a mugger it didn't sound out of place. The thump that followed it however, was.

Aizawa never made any noise, it was a required skill for him to be an underground hero. But then he saw the figure that had tackled the guy to the ground and was currently wrestling with him.

The figure had to be a kid, he was no larger than Aizawa's first years. The kid was decked out in a black bodysuit that covered his arms and legs, red hightops, a dark green hoodie with the hood up and sleeves missing, and some matching green athletic shorts. It was the mask that confirmed Aizawa's strong suspicions of this being Rogue, the vigilante he has just been tasked with catching.

Coming back to his senses he leaped down from his vantage point on the roof just as Rogue was tying up the criminal with....zip ties. Really? Kids these days.

Activating his quirk he made himself known to the kid, unaware that said kid had known he was there all along. Turning around to face the pro hero Rogue offered an excited gasp.

"Oh wow! You're Eraserhead! I'm a huge fan!" Aizawa narrowed his eyes in suspicion. How did the kid know who he was? And more importantly why was he so excited to meet him?

"Rogue, or whatever you call yourself, I will be taking you to the nearest police station for questioning."

"Yeah, sure." The kid deadpanned, keeping a foot firmly planted on the knocked out criminal. "That would totally mess with my plan! Plus shouldn't you be trying to get rid of this guy, the actual criminal, so you can go home to Present Mic? Your loving husband?" Aizawa knew his mistake as soon as he made it.

He blinked in surprise and just like that, Rogue was gone.
