Summary
"Kid! KID! Don't close your eyes, you'll be fine! Just don't close your eyes!""'m s'rry, you shouldn't 'ave 'asted 'ime on me..." The boy's breaths are shallow and shaky, his eyes were fluttering and an ambulance was still five minutes away. Shota still didn't know why the kid was on the roof that night but he knew the kid was dying and didn't accept help. Blood trickled out of his mouth and a stab wound on his side. He backed up onto the railing when Shota took a step forward."Let me help you, kid," Shota pleaded but the boy shook his head and coughed up more blood before his knees gave out and he fell backwards over the rail. Shota lunged forward to catch him but failed. There was a sickening snap as the boy hit the ground. His eye's rolled back into his head and blood pulled out of his mouth. His arms and legs were bent at awkward angles and you could clearly see the white of bone protruding from multiple areas.Shota felt bile rise up into his mouth at the scene that continued to haunt him for years to come.
Note
This is a side fic, it will be very crappy and with short chapters. I tried writing more of his abuse but because of what happens in a later chapter, I decided not to because it will all be seen in another chapter. I hope you enjoy it.

Panic Attacks Suck

"I don't know what I'm doing! I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to kids!" Keigo shouts as Izuku eats a chicken nugget. He points one at Keigo and rolls his eyes. His outfit was an oversized long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and his old pant's that thankfully had not been ruined by a stab and only needed a quick wash to get rid of the blood.

"You could have said that six hours ago when you dragged me into your house," Izuku points out and Keigo freezes.

"Are you eating my chicken nuggies!" Keigo cries as Izuku tosses one into his mouth.

"Are you a walking disaster? Yes," Izuku answers. Keigo grabs the box as Izuku eats another and begins to cry.

"How could you do this to me! The box is empty! I thought we were friends!" Izuku rolls his eyes and a screen pops up.

You have gained the Passive Skill 'Gamers Mind'

Desc: User is able to calmly function through any situation.

The higher level this skill is, the more resistant user is to

mind-altering/controlling quirks/powers/magic. Gain's

more power each level.

"What do you know? RPG approves and awarded me a new skill for being a bitch," Izuku chuckles and Keigo glares at him.

"I'm beginning to think your quirk is laughing at me, though I'm probably just projecting," Keigo mutters before smiling.

"Mind adding me to your party? It would be a good way to test the party feature and see what happens," Keigo points out and Izuku sighs.

'How do I do this... Invite Takami Keigo to 'Players' party'

Keigo decided falling out of his chair and squawking is the best course of action in this situation.

"There's a screen and it's big and 2D and it has words-"

"Oh no, word's,"

"Shut up, that didn't happen!" Keigo got up and sat back down on his chair.

"Of course not, I did not witness any such thing as a giant chicken falling out of a chair and squawking. No, that did not happen at all," Izuku deadpanned causing Keigo to frown.

Takami Keigo has been added to 'Players' party

Keigo: Beep Beep Lettuce

"Seriously? That's the first thing you say- Actually, nevermind," Izuku sighed. Keigo suddenly leapt out of his chair and squawked.

"I have gained the ultimate power! FREE TEXTING!" Keigo shouted.

"And I have gained the ultimate power of removing that," Izuku pointed at Keigo who froze and silently sat down in his chair.

Keigo: So r u gon check wut u can do

"Use proper punctuation or I'll test out my skills on you,"

"You were gonna do that anyway," Keigo pointed out and received a glare from Izuku.

"Anyways... Party Options,"

"There are quests and stuff too, says you need to complete a tutorial, apparently you just gotta finish with character customisation- WAIT! YOU GET MONEY!" Keigo screams. Izuku nods and walks over to the fridge, pulling out a bottle of mango nectar and locking eyes with Keigo.

"So are you a hummingbird or a chicken? I'm thinking hummingbird despite your wings being slow," Keigo laughs and Izuku smiles.

"Anyways, I'll check the Character Customisation thing now,"

Adding (1) Item from Inventory to hand...

A leather-bound and jewel-encrusted book dropped into Izuku's hand. On the cover was two red and black ouroboros dragons. The cover was clearly written in something similar to Norse runes and yet Izuku read it easily.

"Spell Bound, a book for all your spell casting needs..." He muttered and Keigo looked at him funny. Keigo picked up a pillow and raised it above his head.

"I cast the ultimate spell! PILLOW ATTACK!" Keigo yeeted the pillow at Izuku, however, it turns out Keigo can not aim a pillow to save his life and it hit the light bulb, shattering said lightbulb and having the shards hit Izuku.

'Players' Party: Keigo has been changed to 'KEVINWATCHTHELIGHT'

Izuku sat in the interrogation room as he waited on the detective to enter. Keigo had already explained that 'True Man!' had a lie detector quirk. Despite his constant torment, Izuku still loved seeing how quirk's worked and what they'd best be applied to based on not only the persons quirk but their personality as well.

Keigo entered the room along with Tsukauchi and whilst Tsukauchi sat down across from him, Keigo decided the best course of action was to stand behind Izuku, who noticed a sparkly shard poking out from under his jacket.

True Man

Lvl: 29

Name: Tsukauchi Naomasa

"Are you serious? I know you for two days but I've already learnt that you are a walking disaster. What did you break this time?" Izuku asked as he turned to face Keigo who shrunk back. He mumbled something but spoke louder at Izuku's raised eyebrow.

"I exploded another lightbulb," Izuku facepalmed at this before muttering.

"...This is why your name it the chat is 'KEVINGWATCHTHELIGHT'," Keigo smirked and chuckled before both boys went back to their normal faces. One being a resting bitch face and the other being a small smirk that's hardly noticeable.

"...Right... I'm legally obliged to tell you that I have a lie detector quirk and will be using it during our conversation," Tsukauchi seemed confused at first but quickly got back to the task at hand.

"You woke up in a broken down and torn apart bus on the beach exactly how you remembered dying but all your wounds were gone, correct?" Tsukauchi questions.

"Yes,"

"Your name is Izuku Midoriya, you are eleven-years-old and went to Aldera Primary School, correct?"

"Yes,"

"Okay. Do you know how you 'died'?" Tsukauchi obviously seemed doubtful but Izuku knew that this next question would convince him.

"Inland Taipan venom, most venomous non-quirked snake and second most venomous non-quirked animal and possibly even holding its position through quirks. Blood loss was another factor but what truly led to my death was the paralysis and collapse from the venom that caused me to fall over the edge of the building and snap my neck. The venom entered my blood through the large stab wound. The knife that stabbed me was a large kitchen knife drenched in the venom," This caused Tsukauchi's eyes to widen ever so slightly.

"Alright, Midoriya, do you know who stabbed you?" Izuku took a sharp breath and his hands began to shake. He didn't want to talk about her. He couldn't talk about her. Bile was beginning to rise up in his throat just from thinking about his mother. The sickening smile as she carved out words onto his skin. She wouldn't even use the name she gave him. He wasn't Izuku, hadn't been until he met Keigo. To everyone, he was just Deku. He was is useless. He was is weak. He couldn't can't do anything.

"What can a pathetic bastard like you do? Heh, you're a Deku! A useless, quirkless bastard like you doesn't stand a chance at being a hero! You'd die in junior high! Or maybe I'll kill you instead! End your suffering right here!" Kacchan laughed as his quirk ignited in his hands, the familiar burning sensation erupted on Izuku's arm and this time he smelt blood.

His mother stood behind him. The knife tracing words over his arms, up by the shoulder blades where it was unlikely anyone would see. Izuku's screams echoed throughout the desolate basement and slowly the knife began slitting his wrists. He was quirkless, the cuts wouldn't get sympathy or pity but instead hatred and anger.

"What kind of hero hurt's themself, Deku! If you can't even stand yourself then maybe you should just end it for all of us, take a swan dive off the roof and hope you get a quirk in your next life!" Kacchan grinned as Izuku trembled. Kacchan didn't understand what he was saying... They had barely turned eleven so the was no way he could... But Izuku did.

"Worthless"

"Quirkless"

"Deku" The words were carved into his skin, beginning from one shoulder and repeating like a mantra.

"Poor boy, did you hear? He's quirkless,"

"Quirkless? Oh, his poor mother! Having to raise someone like that,"

"He must be so jealous of all those other kids, what a poor child,"

"A quirkless, ugh. Keep him away from me,"

"Ew, I don't want his quirkless disease spreading to my kids,"

"Disgusting,"

"Worthless,"

"Quirkless,"

"Deku,"

"Worthless,"

"Quirkless,"

"Deku,"

"Worthless Quirkless Deku,"

"Worthless Quirkless Deku,"

"Worthless Quirkless Deku~! Worthless Quirkless Deku~!"

"Step on the cracks! Break a Deku's back!"

"Worthless Quirkless Deku~! Worthless Quirkless Deku~!"

"Step on the cracks! Break a Deku's back!"

"Worthless Quirkless Deku~! Worthless Quirkless Deku~!"

"Step on the cracks! Break a Deku's back!"

Blood trickled down his hands as his fingers dug into his nails. He couldn't focus. He was back in the basement waiting for Inko to come to torture him again. To come and remind him how pathetic he is.

"Worthless Quirkless Deku~! Worthless Quirkless Deku~!"

"Step on the cracks! Break a Deku's back!"

They wouldn't stop singing that stupid song. One of Bakugos lackeys had come up with it. Every time someone stepped on a crack, Bakugo would fire off another explosion at him at point-blank. The girls and a few guys sang it as the played jump rope.

"Worthless Quirkless Deku~! Worthless Quirkless Deku~!"

"Step on the cracks! Break a Deku's back!"

"Izuku..."

Someone was trying to talk to him. He couldn't focus. Couldn't make out the words they were saying. His face felt wet, had he been crying? Cryings bad. Crying is weak. Bakugo Kacchan made sure he knew that.

"...hug..."

A hug... that sounded nice. He liked the warmth that came from the hug. It wasn't like Bakugos Kacchans explosions. It was a nice warm it was good...

"Izuku, I need you to breath, okay? Can you try and copy my breathing?"

Keigo's talking to him... he needs to breathe.

"You're okay, you're okay," Keigo whispered and Izuku whimpered. He hadn't registered the move from a stone-cold chair to a warm couch but he was glad for it. He stayed clutching Keigo's chest as he whispered reassurance. Hot chocolate sat on the table, still hot.

"I don't want to talk about her... I'm sorry..." Izuku whimpered. This rarely ever happened. He was used to how things went so it had only happened once before and he passed out from it. He didn't like talking about what triggered that... he couldn't. So why did he have a panic attack over something he was so used to.

He doesn't want to go back to that. He knew Keigo for two days but that was enough to know he wouldn't try killing Izuku... Would he?

"It's okay, you don't have to. I can do it for you. You already explained it to me. You didn't go into detail but it's enough to know the basic facts. We can come in again when you're ready but for now, I'll go talk with Tsukauchi and you can have the hot chocolate, okay?"

"Okay," Izuku muttered as he watched Keigo leave. He picked up his hot chocolate and let the warmth from it heat up his cold hands before taking a sip. He let a small smile be shown at the comforting warmth as it went down his throat. Normally he didn't get a snack or a drink within at least three days of each other which lead to him being as malnourished as he is, something that Keigo was determined to change.

A small chuckle was heard and Izuku froze, his face returning to its resting bitch face mode as he looked up. A man with glasses and messy blonde hair tied up in a bun stood leaning against the counter with a soft smile on his face.

"Hey, I'm Yamada Hizashi," He introduced himself and Izuku shrunk back.

"Midoriya Izuku..." He muttered. The man- Yamada nodded.

"My boyfriend was the one who found you on the roof, he was happy to hear that you're alive," Yamada smiled.

"Your Present Mic..."

Voice Hero; Present Mic

Lvl: ???

Name: Yamada Hizashi

"Right on, little listener!" He exclaimed. Izuku nodded and sipped more of his hot chocolate.

"And I'm back!" Keigo announced as he walked back into the room.

"Ah, you're looking after the little listener, right? Sho wants to see him soon," Yamada pulls out a piece of paper which Izuku assumes has Yamada's number on it. Keigo nods and takes it before turning back to Izuku.

"Let's get going, they'll let you come in another time for the rest, mainly just double-checking,"
