you wouldn't be the first renegade to need somebody
“Hey Reg! Can we talk?” questioned Janis.
“Jan?” said Regina while looking up with tears in her eyes, “Sure.”
“I have some explaining to do-“ started Janis.
“No!” yelled Regina, causing Janis to flinch. “Sorry! I meant you don’t have to explain why you rejected me. It’s perfectly fine.”
“Yes I do! What I’ve been meaning to say is-“ started Janis again.
“Janis! Please don’t do this! I was horrible to you-“ interrupted Regina tearily. If she didn’t stop interrupting her, Janis would kill her.
“REGINA! If you would just let me finish! I've been trying to say I like you back!” exclaimed Janis angrily.
“What? But you said no?” asked Regina confused.
“Because you made it a big deal, if we weren’t the centre of attention, I probably would've said yes. It’s just...those situations give me so much stress. Sorry,” explained Janis.
“No, don’t you dare apologize for getting anxious. It’s just I thought you loved romantic gestures? I even double-checked with Damian that you still liked them?” asked Regina.
“I love them in movies and TV shows, but not in real life,” answered Janis.
“Oh, makes sense, sorry! What’s that you got in your hands?” questioned Regina.
“Oh! I was so preoccupied with helping you, I forgot to mention I have something for you!” laughed Janis. She got down on one day and pulled out a bunch of ring-shaped confetti. “Will you go to prom with me?” asked Janis with the utmost sincerity.
“Is that even a question? Yes!” replied Regina, with tears in her eyes.
So she was emotional, well sue her, her crush just asked her out! She wrapped her arms around Janis in a tight embrace. When she let go a few seconds later, they were a few inches apart. They were looking into each other's eyes. Janis was moving in closer
.
“Hey Reg, can I kiss you?” asked Janis, now only an inch away.
“Yes please!” exclaimed Regina.
Janis leaned in closing the gap. The kiss was everything she wanted and more. It was like being exploded and being put back together a hundred times over. There was no way anything could be better, but then Janis deepens the kiss and she might just faint.
“Hey guys!” a voice calls out.
Her and Janis cut their make-out session short and turn to see all their friends.
“Ohh! Hey guys! Didn’t see you there!” exclaimed Regina excitedly.
“Of course you didn’t! You were sucking face!” laughed Damian.
“Damian!” shouted Janis mortified, “Don’t act all innocent, I’ve seen you numerous times, doing things-“
“-ok Janis! Let’s not attack each other, when instead we could talk about you and Regina?” said Damian, with the rest of the group humming in approval.
“Fine!” groaned Janis. “Wait let me just check something with Reg,” said Janis while dragging Regina aside.
“Hey Reg, do you want to be my girlfriend?” asked Janis in an undertone.
“Yeah! I thought that came apart of the prom shebang?” asked Regina, confusion imminent.
“I was just double-checking!” whispered Janis, “Love you!” oops-
Regina gazed at Janis for a few seconds before replying, “Love you too!”
Now to just explain the whole story to their friends.
