After a good night’s sleep Mei’s social battery was recharged and she was ready to take ass and kick names. She looked over at her alarm clock to see it was 5:55am “FUCK IZUKU IS GOING TO BE HERE IN 5 MINUTES” Mei roared and rushed to get dressed while she continued screaming various profanities. Somehow she managed to get ready in time as she heard Izuku knock on the door, however she was too slow in that instance as her mother reached the door long before she could. Mei got downstairs to see her mother chatting with Midoriya as though they were lifelong friends, it’s not surprising that he got on with Aiko so well since he was easily one of the kindest souls she’d ever met.
“What are you too love birds giggling about?” Mei questioned the pair.
“Izuku here was telling me all about the hero course since a certain someone doesn’t share many details with her dear mother, especially your training exercise with Todoroki was it” Aiko jibed.
“Ah yes, he was an asshole and he deserved it and I would do it again in a second, but its too bad because I thought we could’ve been friends” Mei quipped.
“That’s my girl” her mother said lovingly while wrapping her hands around her daughter. “Now you two go train well and I’ll have a breakfast ready for when you get back, oh and Izuku dear I’ll lay out some towels for you in the guest bathroom so you don’t have to race back home.
“That’s so kind thank you! Are you ready to go Mei?” Midoriya asked.
“Hell yeah I am buddy boy, let’s go run, you’re okay with a 5K right?” Mei had never did a morning training session with someone who wasn’t related to her, so she didn’t really know how other people trained.
“Oh yeah 5Ks are easy, do you want me to follow you?” He inquired to which Mei just nodded, said a quick goodbye to her mum and raced out the door with Izuku following a step behind her. The pair both ran at their normal pace and made it back to Mei’s where they discussed what they would do next. Mei explained that she normally does fight training followed by quirk strengthening, Midoriya didn’t respond instead he got into a fighting stance and looked over at Mei and smirked to show her he was ready.
Mei decided to make the first move and threw a few punches at Izuku all of which he easily dodged, she smirked knowing that after that he was going to gain confidence and let his guard down slightly. Mei knew that her combat skills were a lot stronger than his, Midoriya too figured this out after 4 straight rounds of landing on his ass and having to admitting defeat. Once he was on the ground Mei extended a hand and gave him a few pointers, normally when she does so people get offended and think Mei is acting like a cocky bitch. Midoriya however was different he took the pointers and subsequently got into position and yelled again.
Once they finished sparring Mei went inside to get the pair a drink while Midoriya got out his trusty notebook and started scribbling like crazy. Once she got back the boy wasted no time in asking more questions about her quirk, she answered them all obviously as how could anyone say no to such a cute face. Once they started quirk training Mei created the same chains she had been creating for weeks now in hopes that Midoriya would come up with some way she can make them stronger, after all he was the resident quirk expert. Mei told him to break the chain in a single point without ruining the rest of it to get better control over his quirk, obviously that did not go well.
“What the fuck my guy, how do you have such bad control that it literally ruins your arm.” Mei scrutinized the boy as she put her hands around his broken wrist and used her power to fix it. A broken bone took some concentration from Mei but it wasn’t anything she couldn’t handle, though a trip to her mother after they finished would be necessary.
“I don’t really know I’ve just never gotten a handle on it, but your chain was really strong so I don’t really know how to help you improve that other than more practice maybe? More importantly I’ve seen your eyes turn black in the past but I never asked why they do that” He said elated as he could now move his fingers again and unlike being healed by Recovery Girl he wasn’t feeling drained at all.
“I basically have the shit end of cuttlefish vision. They see high definition polarized light so their sight is a lot better than ours however when I use my quirk I overload my optic nerve and while I can see extremely unpolarised light it takes a lot of focus to make out any shapes from all the colours I can see” Mei explained.
A/N umm I can’t explain that very well but if you search up cuttlefish vision and click on the first picture that’s all colourful that’s what I mean.
“That’s so cool, how long does it last and why does it not happen when you use your telepathy?”
“It only lasts the instant when I use my quirk, as soon as I stop its back to normal and honest to all might I have no fucking clue” Mei said as the two of them went inside her house and she directed Izuku to the guest bathroom. After her shower she came downstairs to discover the pair giggling with each other again, though this time she decided against asking about their conversation topic. They all ate breakfast together and discussed what Kenji was getting up to at his internship and eventually Mei and Izuku made their way to the train station where they received a nastier than normal look from Bakugou.

Eventually the train stopped and the trio met up with their friends, Bakugou and Mei veered off towards the Baku-squad and Izuku gave Mei a quick wave goodbye and went off with the rest of the Deku-squad. The chatting stopped when Aizawa entered the room announcing today’s training activity was going to take place at USJ and that they should all get changed into their suits and meet up at the bus. As always Mina ran up to Mei grabbing her arm and pulled her toward the changing room where the girls all laughed about anything and everything.
“Everyone please line up in seating order” Iida commanded.
“I don’t think that’s going to work out baby” Mei chuckled as everyone boarded the bus only to notice the seats wouldn’t work out for Iidas plan. She took the window seat in the first row of normal 2x2 seats, she wondered who would sit by her. Low and behold it was her favourite frenemy Bakugou, who being his normal self didn’t even acknowledge Mei’s existence until she herself said hello and got a signature ‘tch’ in response.
The chatter amongst the class carries on seamlessly until the topic of quirks comes up. The first person whose quirk is discussed was Midoriya’s, it was clear to Mei that the conversation was making him act all flustered.

Umm I don’t know it’s all just a bit overwhelming
“Guys let’s be serious for a moment you can literally say that anyone with super strength has All Might’s quirk, but last time I checked Mighty Boy doesn’t glow when he throws a punch.” Mei scoffed trying to get the attention away from Midoriya. Which ended with her classmates throwing out a few ‘I guess’ and ‘yeah she’s got a point’.

Owe me? Nah mate I managed to feed my inner attention whore so really I owe you. Mei’s face erupted into a smile which settled the last of Midoriya’s nerves and so he let out a small laugh.
“Doing that weird fucking brain talking with Deku now huh?” Bakugou turned to face Mei when she opened her mouth to let out a smart retort that she was pretty proud of, Mei was interrupted.
“Well if you’re talking about flashy and strong, it’s gotta be Todoroki, Martyna and Bakugou though right?” Mei beam at Kirishima’s words.
“Oh damn you really put me in the big boys club, im flattered and you have completely won over my heart. Though I wouldn’t really classify my quirk as flashy when in compared to flashy boom boom man or Katy Perrys best song over there.” She responded.
“Bakugou’s always mad so he definitely won’t be as popular as Mei or Todoroki” Asui interjects. Mei couldn’t stop herself from laughing a little too loudly, while trying to salvage the situation she let out a fake cough but it’s a little too late as Bakugou already had mini explosions shooting from his palms.
“We haven’t known each other that long, so it’s kind of telling if everyone already knows your personality is crap steeped in sewage.” It was at that moment Mei was convinced Kaminari either had balls of steel, a death wish or both.
“What kind of vocabulary is that you bastard I’ll kill you!”

In what fucking ways are we similar?
Well for one we both have stupid strong quirks, both swear like sailors, have strong personalities, we’re both sexy as shit and we’re both aiming for the number 1 spot. As Mei finished she had a wild smirk on her face as she was expecting Bakugou to go off on a tangent but to her surprise he reluctantly agreed with her, while calling her a weirdo for calling him sexy.
“Listen buddy boy, I have eyes and no filter therefore I shall say what I think, and you gotta admit I too am easy on the eyes” Mei quipped.
“You’re not too bad but I’m still better” Bakugou said nonchalantly.
Mei was utterly taken aback by him admitting such a thing “Fucking hell at no point did I expect you to agree with me! Omg does this mean we can be best friends now”
“Don’t fucking push it extra” He snarled as Aizawa announced that they had arrived at their destination. As Baku-squad all stand by each other while in the training centre Mei couldn’t focus on anything being said by her teacher or her friends as she was too busy staring at the views before her.
Thirteen began saying something that sounded serious that made Mei want to start paying attention “Let me just say something everyone, I’m sure you’re aware of my quirk Black Hole. It’s been used to save many people, but it is a power that can kill easily. Some of you also have quirks like that right?” Mei’s quirk was nothing short of OP and it was commonly known, though she’d never actually tried it she figured that her quirk could quite easily suck all the air from someone’s lungs, skin them completely or just straight up shove them into the centre of a black hole and watch them being spaghetti-fied without even breaking a sweat. The reason she never trained to do such things, with the help of her brother she easily could’ve, is because she felt those parts of her quirk felt more villainous than heroic.
Aizawa then took over from Thirteen “Alright now the-“suddenly a portal manifested itself in the middle of the facility at the bottom of the massive staircase. “Everyone gather together those are Villains down there! Thirteen, protect the students!”
The class all began running towards the only exit when someone materialised in front of the door and began an announcement “It’s lovely to meet you all, we are the League of Villains. I believe All Might should be here, has something changed?”
Mei’s insides stirred as she saw Bakugou and Kirishima launch themselves at the villain only for Mei to run after them and hear the villain yell “My job is to scatter and torture you all to death!” Before she could reach her friends they were swallowed by the portal. Mei suddenly started falling for what felt like an eternity but was in fact only a few seconds.
When she landed she felt something unbearably cold beneath her, it was Todoroki’s ice she soon came to realise. He looked over at her from a few meters away and started mumbling to himself about how weak the villains are. Mei and Todoroki were not on good terms ever since the first battle practice, she saw him approach one of the dozen frozen figures without saying anything to him. Then in a split second a man emerged from behind one of the frozen figures, Todoroki evidently didn’t spot the man in mid-air with 2 daggers in his hands, but Mei did. Her eyes turned black as she captured he man in her black mist like force bubble, the villain started trying to burst his way out when Todoroki eventually turned to Mei.
“You should really watch your back, good thing I was here man” Mei stated with a smirk as she threw the bubble down earning a loud groan from the villain.
“I don’t need your help but thanks” He replied with a blank face.
“Wanna fill me in on what you’re doing?” Mei asked expecting him to respond with a brief no.
“I’m going to get information about All Might out of them and then go back to help Aizawa” Todoroki explained.
“Okay cool you do that and I’ll set up communication between our class” Mei smiled
“How are you going to do that exactly?” Todoroki questioned
That my not so friendly friend is a company secret that I am not obliged to reveal. He looked cluelessly at Mei, wanting to ask why her eyes turned black in that moment and how he heard her voice clearly even though her lips didn’t move an inch.
Mei turned away from the villains and focussed on picturing everyone from her class, all their names, appearances and voices. This was set to be the most people she’s ever had in a mind link and she didn’t even know where they all were, so she knew it would put some strain on her maybe end with her receiving a nosebleed and a raging headache.
Hi guys this is Mei I’m currently in the landslide zone with Todoroki, I’ve set up a class mind link so we can all communicate. I’ll need one person from each group to tell us where they are, who they’re with and if they’re hurt.
Whoa Mei this is so cool! It’s Kirishima by the way and I’m with Bakugou in the ruins zone, we’re all good and we just kicked these villains’ butts!
Its Midoriya here I’m with Mineta and Tsuyu, we’re in the shipwreck zone and I think we’re okay for now.
Oijiro here I’m in the fire zone by myself but I am okay
Mei its Tokoyami and im with Koda, we are in the windstorm zone and everything is okay here
Mei its Jirou, me Yaoyorozu and Denki are in the mountain zone and we’re also okay
Mina here I’m with Sato, Sero, Uraraka, Shouji and Thirteen, we’re fine but I don’t think Thirteen is oh and Iida has finally made his way out!
Wow okay that’s great guys, I’m going to deactivate the class wide mind-link but you’ll all still be separately connected to me so if you need anything just let me know. The safest bet will be for everyone to stick to their groups and make their way back to the entrance. Oijiro the closest group to you is Jirou’s group if you want to join up with them. With that Mei ended the class wide mind link and her hand shot up to her nose where there was in fact a steam of blood flowing.
“Are you okay?” Todoroki asked
“Yeah I’m all good I’ve just never had such a large mind-link and it’s given me a fat headache, anyway I need to make another one because we need to go help Aizawa” Mei said wiping the remainder of the blood away as she readied herself for the second mind-link.
Hey it’s Mei again but this time it’s just me Bakugou, Kirishima and Todoroki. We need to go help Aizawa guys because there we’re a fuckton of villains there and when I spoke to Aizawa a second ago he told me not to come but he sounded like he was in a lot of pain!
Of course we’re going to fucking help Aizawa me and shitty hair are already on the way

I’M ALWAYS CAREFUL. With that done Mei and Todoroki looked at each other while taking mentally where Todoroki tells Mei that the quickest easiest way for them to get there would be via ice, Mei knowing that was a bunch of bullshit told Todoroki that he should just hold onto her while she teleports them here.
The pair arrive there to see the silhouettes of Kirishima and Bakugou running towards them at full speed. Mei sees the Midoriya group still in the water, she sends him a message saying that she and the others are going to free Aizawa and it’ll be up to Izuku to get him back to the entrance where they should be relatively safe. With a firm nod and thumbs up from Midoriya she starts telling the others about her plan.

Bakugou you and Todoroki need to somehow get the Nomu away from Aizawa for a second so that Kirishima can scoop him away and get him to Midoriya. As soon as Aizawa is out you two retreat back and I’ll create a chain around all the villains that, with reinforcement from Todoroki’s ice, should hold until the Pros arrive. Has everyone got enough strength left in them to do the plan?

As Mei finishes speaking she sees the three boys charging at the beast. Bakugou is first in creating an explosion right in the beast’s face, shocking it for a second before it lets go of Aizawa and goes to punch Bakugou. Before it could reach him, Todoroki slides in creating an ice wall between the two which holds long enough for Kirishima to grab Aizawa. As the boys were fighting Mei stood back as she saw various weaker villains try to sneak up on the boys from behind, there was no way she would let that happen. Mei sent off energy blasts from her hands towards each of the villains. As the balls of black mist hit them, they began to fall like flies landing on the floor and clutching whichever limb got hit.
While Kirishima was running in the other direction with their beloved teacher who mumbles something about how they shouldn’t be there, Bakugou and Todoroki were still giving their all against the Nomu, fighting side by side with fire and ice. Bakugou was being his annoying self and getting all up in the creatures face and distracting it, while Todoroki slid around it locking it in place with as much ice as he could muster. A truly beautiful feat but it was at that moment when Mei noticed the frost being built up on Todoroki’s face and how Bakugou started rubbing his forearms, a clear sign that their quirks were starting to catch up to them. Mei didn’t want her friends to experience more of whatever level of pain they felt at that moment so she signalled her friends that they should retreat as shes going to set off her chain.
She closes her eyes imagining the strongest chain shes ever created, one that not even her brother can break through and it suddenly appears in a perfect circle encompassing all the villains. With the closing of her hands the chain contracts and pulls all the villains into each other causing the Nomu to slam into the smaller villains, which causes to let out cries of pain. Todoroki enacted the last part of the plan by sending a stream of ice all around the chain.
Mei’s eyes were still black as she was constantly having to rebuild the chain as the Nomu was sending punch after punch at the chain, she knew it wouldn’t hold for much longer as she could already feel herself getting weaker with each rebuild. Then the fateful moment arrived, the chain broke and the Nomu headed straight for Bakugou. Mei teleported herself in front of the boy only to have the beast grab her by the neck and lift her up 6 feet above the ground, before she could do anything she heard a loud booming voice yell out “I recommend you drop the girl now while you still can” It was All Might and even though she couldn’t physically breathe she let out a mental sigh of relief.
“You heard him, drop the girl Nomu” the crusty villain with a bunch of hands on his face said.
The Nomu did as its master said but unfortunately for Mei it didn’t put her down gently on the floor, no it launched her into a nearby building. With a split second before she caused the entire building to fall Mei created a dense energy field behind her that she hoped would stop her from well, dying. The last thing she saw before she passed out was Bakugou blasting his way towards her and screaming he name with a bunch of swears mixed in, while Kirishima and Todoroki raced after him.
