“Right Hina I don’t know how many times I have to say it, it’s not that big of a deal. I threw the ball all the way around the world and back into my hand” Mei sighed.
“Not a big deal is getting vanilla ice cream on a white top, but throwing a ball that far is a big fucking deal” Hina knew Mei had a stupidly powerful quirk, she’d seen it in action more times than she can count. Her favourite use of Mei’s quirk was when they were younger Mei created a secret room for her and Hina to hide in when they played hide and seek with Kenji. They never lost and to this day Kenji still has no idea where they went.
“FINE it was a big deal but can we stop talking about that now, can we talk about your school for once”
Whenever given the opportunity to talk about her school Hina wouldn’t shut up for hours talking about all the procedures and fancy doctor words she learnt about. Which is why she always let Mei talk about her issues first because she knew once she started talking about herself she just wasn’t able to stop until she ran out of tea to spill. “and yeah that’s how I managed to piss off every single teacher and TA in about 5 minutes”
“How was that your fault though, surely they should blame I don’t know, the guy who set off the sprinklers?!” Mei questioned.
“Yeah probably but I did accidentally set fire to the practice dummy, I still don’t know how though” Hina spoke as she played with her hair while the two girls waited for Mei’s mother to call them down for dinner.
Before Mei could respond the door to her room opened to reveal Kenji dressed in his pj’s despite it only being 5pm. “Din din is ready by the way”
“You still say din din at your big age? Wow and to think you’re the 4th best at school” Mei joked as she and the gang made their way down the stairs following the smell of Udon which lead them to Aiko who sat patiently waiting for her family. They all sat down and ate together while talking about their days, sharing jokes and no family dinner would be complete without Kenji talking about the training he has planned for Mei. The rest of the night went by calmly, eventually Hina made her way back to her own house and the Seki family retired to their own rooms.
Mei being the good student she was did her homework and just managed to finish before her phone started buzzing like crazy.

With a last glance at her phone she knew the group chat wasn’t going to die down anytime soon so she put her phone on do not disturb, put in her airpods in and drifted off to sleep while listening to her Lo-fi playlist.
5 minutes before her alarm was scheduled to go off Mei woke up and cherished those extra 5 minutes, because nothing on Earth felt as good as being able to go back to sleep. Before she could properly enjoy her extra time Kenji ran into her room yelling at her to get up. “You know im going away for a week tomorrow so we’re going to train extra hard today because your lazy ass won’t do anything when im gone”
“That’s a cruel accusation, for all you know I might start waking up at 4 to do an extra hour” Mei said which caused both the siblings to burst into a laughing fit.
“Yeah yeah okay I get it, im up lets go kick names and take ass” she sluggishly rolled out of bed
“You’re so weird, like so unbelievably weird and mum didn’t even drop you on the head when you were born so there’s no logical reason for it” Kenji rolled his eyes as he locked the front door and put in his earphones, ready for their 5K.
‘And you’re going to die alone because no one is desperate enough to love a prick like you’ to which Kenji responded by simply sticking his middle finger out.
Kenji didn’t exaggerate when he said the training session was going to be extra hard. It was so draining in fact that Mei had to go to her mother to get her energy restored otherwise she wouldn’t be able to use her quirk at school. It was this kind of training that made her miss her dad, and the breakfast he used to cook afterwards.
Mei got ready for school and headed off towards the train station, as she saw Bakugou waiting to board the same train she took out her phone and messaged him saying ‘Why do you always look like you woke up on the wrong side of the bed?’. Instead of writing back a response Bakugou looked Mei in the eye and made a vulgar gesture that she’d already seen that morning from her very own brother. She spent the rest of the train journey staring at the passing trees and houses.
Once at school All Might boomed through the door and announced they would be doing Hero vs Villain Battle training. “Real fighting already?” Midoriya asked nervously.
Everyone else in the class seemed to somewhat share Midoriya’s nerves apart from Bakugou who looked like he was itching for a fight, Todoroki who never really expressed many feelings and obviously Mei who was ready to kick ass.
“Get in your suits and meet me at training Ground Beta!” The class then collected their suits from their assigned lockers and headed to the changing rooms that they were now familiar with. Mei’s costume was an all-black tight fitting suit with red fabric on her chest, forearms which extended down to her knuckles and also on her shins. Her suit obviously made of high quality hero material also had a diamond cut out on her chest just below her neck. The suit perfectly complimented her figure as it extenuated all her curves. As the rest of the girls were still getting ready Mei was plaiting her hair as she knew it would get in her way if she left it down, she then looked around at everyone and said “Damn you ladies are looking mighty fine and mighty heroic”
After some blushing Mina spoke up and said “Umm Mei have you seen yourself?” which ended in all the girls trading compliments and eventually making their way outside. As they approached the boys who were already waiting, Mei noticed that all of their cheeks were dusted pink. She felt so accomplished knowing she and her fellow girlfriends had managed to get this reaction out of the 1-A boys.
“Damn Kiri you’re really out here trying to distract me by not wearing a shirt huh?” Mei giggled
“It’s not my fault you’re so attracted to all this manliness Mei, I gotta say you look like a snack!” Kirishima flexed his arms as if he was in a body builder’s competition.
“Can the two of you keep it in your pants for a fucking minute?” Bakugou scowled
“Bakubitch there’s no need to be jealous I think you look good too” Mei sent a wink over to Bakugou knowing it was an easy way to piss him off.
“Don’t fucking call me bitch and why would I give a shit about what you think”
“How can you rip out my heart in front of everyone like this?” She cried while dramatically throwing her hand up to her forehead and falling backwards only for Kaminari to catch her. Sero and Mina rushed over to her side and started to fake cry which in Mei’s opinion really sold their whole performance.
“Bakugou you killed her! How could you, y-y-you heartless man!” Sero cried while fake consoling Mina.
“Mei nooo, my bestie ripped from me at such a young age, she had such a bright future ahead of her”. It was at that point that Bakugou had enough, with a quick ‘I fucking hate you all’ he walked away leaving the rest of the baku-squad to laugh and discuss how good they all look and how much of a perv Mineta was for staring at Momo. Mei decided to take matters into her own hands and give Mineta the wedgie of a century without actually having to touch his nasty skid-marked underwear.
“Stop staring and being a creep or next time I will force your underwear to actually split you in half and give you a makeshift vagina” Mei stated as she released Mineta from his punishment.
“Though I agree with your reasoning, violence is never the answer especially not against a fellow classmate” Iida said waving his hands around as Mei and the rest of them laughed at the grape crying in the corner. She even managed to get Todoroki and Bakugou to crack a smile and chuckle. An absolute win in her books.
All Might cleared his throat and announced that the pairs could be randomly chosen by him drawing slots. Mei was paired up with Todoroki, a basically unstoppable pairing, she knew it and so did the rest of the class. The villains Mei and Todoroki were going up against were Ojiru and Shoji, Mei knew it was going to be an easy win but her mood quickly shifted when she heard Midoriya was going to go against Bakugou.

Exactly it’s all going to be fine, All Might definitely won’t let it get out of control. Plus you can easily crush that annoying bastard.Mei looked over at Midoriya and sent him two thumbs up and a somewhat genuine smile. It was in moments like this she wished she had Hina’s quirk so that she could comfort her friends.
Mei watched and listened to the pairs who went before her judging their strategy and their execution. Eventually it was her and Todoroki’s turn so they made their way down to the building. “Do you want to discuss strategies or do you want to just go with the flow? Mei asked Todoroki while cracking her knuckles in anticipation and put in her earpiece so that she could communicate with her partner, not that she needed an earpiece to do that.
“I’ve got this you can just stay here” he said nonchalantly.
“Excuse me, I must’ve misheard you” Mei refused to believe what he said.
Todoroki lifted his hand and placed it on the wall and the wall was encompassed with ice and he repeated what he previously said. The rest of the class, being able to hear what was being said by the pair, started to feel the tension rising between the pair.
“Yeah umm no, we’re meant to be partners so I will not just stay here, if you want me to stand here for a moment while you freeze the place and we go together fine, but you will not be doing this by yourself” Mei could already feel the rage inside bubbling as she got rid of all the ice in the building.
Oh my god she got rid of all of Todoroki’s ice without even touching it Midoriya thought to himself while gaping at the screen.
“I can do this by myself, I don’t need you getting in my way, so stand here while I go beat them” Todoroki glared at Mei while refreezing the building. It was at that point that Mei got mad. As before Mei got rid of all the ice without touching it, the only different being this time all the ice gathered around Todoroki locking him in place, Mei slowly turned the ice around so that he was now facing her. The rest of the class might as well have been Todoroki in that moment because they were all frozen staring at the screens, completely enraptured by what was about to happen.
“Listen here you little shit, I don’t know who the fuck you think you are but you do not treat people like shit and you DEFINITELY do not speak to me like im a piece of shit on your shoe. You may have a god complex and think you’re above everyone but newsflash asshole you’re training to be a hero so you’re going to have to deal with others” Mei was ranting and there was no stopping her, she figured yelling at him was better than crushing his skull with his own ice.
“The audacity of you to assume you’re stronger than me, I’ll get in your way? No you’re in my fucking way. So be a good little frozen icicle while I go win this” She created one of her energy spheres and launched it directly at Todoroki’s nose which resulted in an unsettling crack and pool of blood to erupt from his nose.
“Young Seki, this exercise is not to fight against your teammate, release him now or you will be disqualified!” All Might hollered down his own mic.
“yeah yeah sure whatever” Mei said teleporting herself to the bomb, placing a hand on it winning the challenge and releasing Todoroki all at the same time. If you blinked you would’ve missed her at work.
Her black eyes now on full show as she continued a chain of curses so colourful poor baby Midoriya had a red face and Bakugou was sporting a smirk, low-key impressed that she didn’t take IcyHots shit like most of the class would’ve. By the time she’d stopped cursing, she was back at to the viewing room and sitting in a chair arms crossed while the class stared in awe.
Mei, are you okay?
I’m fine Midoriya, I would be even better if I had broken all of his bones and not just his nose though, but good luck with your battle, I’ll be rooting for you.

Mei stayed at the back of the room carefully observing the screen as the Bakugou Deku match was in full swing, she was honestly surprised All Might hadn’t stopped that match Bakugou was attacking Midoriya a lot harder than she attacked Todoroki. Eventually the match finished and Mei somehow found her way over to the nurse’s office to see both the boys on hospital beds.
“They’ll both be just fine sweetheart” Recovery Girl reassured Mei.
“Oh I know they’re too stubborn to let a concussion, broken bones or even death stop them” Mei smiled at the old woman as she started walking out of the room.
By the time they got out of bed it was lunch time. Bakugou approached the food hall and saw a table full of idiots he might one day consider his friends. He hoped he would be able to silently approach them and sit down without them making a big deal out of his arrival. Oh how wrong he was.
The first to notice him was the spikey haired boy “Bakubro over here” he yelled while violently waving.
“The prodigal son returns” Mei yelled while moving her tray out of the way to make room for him.
Sero, Mina and Kaminari used their one collective brain cell to scream “he’s alivee” which drew the attention of the Deku-squad table which was sitting a few rows over, hey all turned to see the chaos that was the Baku-squad.
“You pricks are so annoying and i don't know why the fuck you're here Witch Bitch” Bakugou scoffed which led to Mei kicking him under the table, as he sat down in-between Kirishima and Mei and began eating his food as next lesson began in 10 minutes. Unfortunately for him no one at the table really let him eat as they bombarded him with so many questions he felt as though his head might explode.
Time flew as the remaining lessons were a lot calmer in comparison to the first one that day. The whole group made their way to the train station and said their goodbyes as they got on their separate trains. A warm feeling spread through Mei as she was now part of a friend group that she knew had the potential to grow into something beautiful and long lasting.
“The fuck are you thinking about so hard? Your face is all messed up” Bakugou questioned as he and Mei got off at their stop.
“Oh yes keep talking like that to me and I’ll be putty in your hands in no time” Mei retorted.
“Fuck off witch bitch, is it about that IcyHot bastard?”
“It actually wasn’t but now im thinking about that and oh would you look at that im mad again, thanks Bakugou you know just how to sweet talk a girl” Mei sighed wondering whether or not she went too far.
“If you’re thinking you overdid it, you didn’t, he deserved it. If you didn’t break his nose I would’ve fucking had to so you did me a favour” Bakugou said as he grabbed her arm to stop her mid-walk.
Hmm not bad Bakugou, that actually helped I didn’t expect that from you. Mei said down the mind link as she continued walking home.
“What the fuck” he started looking around, just like Midoriya the first time she mind linked the two.

He cursed under his breath thinking she had constant access to his thoughts, Mei knew this was a fear most people had and usually she told them she couldn’t do that right from the start. Yet she decided she would torment him by not telling him, it’s what he deserved for being such an asshole all the time.
