A secret
Chapter 1
Midoriya sniffled.
He knew Kaachan was his friend, but sometimes the words he said hurt Izuku quite a lot.
The greenette buried his face further into mama’s apron as she petted his head comfortingly. Mama was always there for him whenever he was crying, and he couldn’t help but feel happy and at peace in her presence.
“Feeling better?” the other asked comfortingly as she ran her fingers through his hair.
Izuku nodded and then proceeded to look up at his mother. She smiled softly back at him. Soon,Izuku found himself being lifted onto her lap. After being seated comfortably, the red eyed boy looked at his Mama expectantly.
“Now listen here carefully, Izuku” she crooned as she continued to hug him close.
“There is no one out there who loves you as much as your siblings and your Mama love you. And if they ever hurt you it’s not because they mean it alright?”
Izuku nodded, much happier than before. He got of his mother’s lap. After all, it was play time and this wasn’t to be wasted. He looked back to give his Mama a final smile, but it froze in place when he saw something unexpected.
Why was Mama crying?
Izuku was 10 now. And he was working harder than ever.
He looked up from his freshly jotted down answers to glance at the others. Midoriya frowned when he saw Denki and Mina sobbing in the corner. Looks like he’d bee seeing them next to Momo today as well.
“Well then, shall we have a look at our scores today?” Mama asked aloud as she looked at them smilingly.
“yes Mama!” The greenette chorused, along with the others.
“At first place we have Izuku,” Mama shot him an impressed look. “Along with Katsuki and Lida. Good job you three!” Izuku couldn’t help but glow at the praise.
“OI! How come I didn’t get more than that Deku!” Izuku grimaced. Mama just giggled.
“Now, now, Katsuki. Both of you have gotten a perfect score. It really isn’t possible to get a higher score”
Kaachan however seemed to only get angrier. Denki only added fuel to the fire.
“Even though you get good grades in both our logical tests and physical ones your personality still stinks worse than Mina’s cooking!” the other blonde said while Mina let out an indignant ‘hey’.
“That’s right” Lida agreed as he pushed his glasses back once more. “Your personality is not one to admire Bakugou-san.”
Unfortunately, the ash blonde responded in the most feral way possible. With rather animalistic noises and wild gestures.
Mama giggled again as she ruffled Kaachan’s hair. “Let’s not fight Katsuki. Get along with your siblings for Mama”.
Surprisingly the boy complied while his cheeks turned a light pink. He looked away as he muttered a “yes Mama”
Izuku smiled softly at the sight. Yes, his Mama could tame even Kaachan. Their mother was truly magical that way.
Midoriya woke up with a gasp. He had had another one of those dreaded nightmares. Oh, how Izuku despised those.
The boy crawled out of bed unsure of what else to do. He obviously wasn’t going back to bed.
‘How about Mama? Mama always made things right.’ A voice whispered in his head. Izuku brightened at the thought. That’s right Mama would pet his head and say kind words to make him feel better. The boy hurried out while carrying his stuffed bear doll.
He walked down the chilly and quite corridors, nervously as he had never liked dark places. But he kept going for he knew his mother would always make things better.
He was about to walk past the dining hall when he noticed a bright light coming from there. Izuku’s face scrunched up in confusion. No one would be there at this hour. Who exactly had lit a lamp there?
The boy peaked into the room not sure what to expect.
However, the boy saw only a lit lamp and nothing else. Perhaps Mama had forgotten to turn it off.
Izuku waddled towards the lamp drowsily. Better to switch it of before it led to a fire or something.
When he reached the particular table it was placed on, the greenette realized that there was something else placed alongside it as well. A crisp white envelope. The boy tilted his head in curiosity. Mama usually filed and kept all the letters away safely. Should he return this one?. The envelope was torn open and it’s contents were laid out on the table. Perhaps he should return it after all.
But before he could do so he noticed the strange address stamped on the white paper.
Farm 2011. Experiment 33. U.A Facility. Special produce.
