Chapter 6
Kara flew into the DEO to find Alex and Brainy huddled around a computer screen, discussing something. "Hey, guys." She interrupted. Alex quickly pulled her over to them in order to explain the situation.
"We finally found Lex's body. He had been shot, Kara."
"I know." She confessed.
"What?" Alex looked up in shock. "How do you know that?"
"I know who did it." Kara looked at her feet before continuing. "It was Lena."
Alex was actually a little relieved to hear this. "How long have you known this?"
"Since just before you called me earlier." Kara admitted.
"You should have told us!" Alex started. "We've been trying to figure out who shot him for an hour and a half."
"Sorry. If you'd called me, I would have told you." Kara knew that she hadn't been around enough today but she wasn't going to admit to that. Alex shook her head and started to walk away. Kara ran after her. "Please don't have a go at Lena. She feels awful about it."
Alex stopped. "I wasn't going to. I was going to thank her." Alex said calmly.
"I already told her that she saved millions of lives by doing it and that it was the right thing to do."
"Good." Alex took Kara into an empty room. "So, how did lunch go?"
"It went really well. We talked for hours. I was still there when you called earlier and I went back after. I only just left."
"Wow." Alex hadn't realised that her call had interrupted.
"We talked about everything. I told her all my secrets, as promised, and she told me all of hers."
"One of those secrets was that she killed Lex, right?"
"Yes, and in the moments before he died, he told her about me being Supergirl."
"Oh, that's not good." Alex hugged her sister for a moment before pulling away. "What else did she tell you?"
"Nothing that I can tell you." Kara knew that Lena would not want her to tell Alex, so she kept it to herself.
"It's something bad, isn't it?" Alex was worried, and to be honest, she still didn't completely trust Lena.
"No, no. It's nothing bad. I just can't tell you. If she wants you to know then she will tell you herself." Kara could see that her sister was about to argue with her. "Alex, you will understand why I can't tell you if she tells you."
"Fine. Don't tell me then." She was still very curious.
"Do not ask her about it, Alex." Kara knew her sister too well. "She's coming to game night tomorrow, so be nice." Kara said, as sternly as she could.
"I will, don't worry."
