Misunderstanding (Pride)
Peter gathered the Avengers in the meeting room. It was pride month and he felt strong enough to come out to them. He was shaking but he was going to do it. He took a deep breath and gripped the table.
"I-I had Tony arrange this meeting because I wanted to tell you all something. But I don't want you to look at me differently. I-I wanted to say I'm-"
Tears threatening to spill and he took a shaky breath. "transgender," he squeaked out.
A couple of the team members gasped. The others didn't know what that was.
"It means I was born the wrong gender."
Thor glanced at Peter. "So you are a girl then?"
At that, Peter broke into tears. He didn't think Thor would treat him differently.
Loki was filled with rage. He smacked Thor across the face. A dagger was conjured up and he stabbed him in the dick. He twisted his dagger in place. Causing Thor to scream out in pain.
"How dare you say that to Peter. He is a man and he will be treated as such." Loki hissed.
"You know about me. Is this how you truly feel? Well, you are going to regret being born." Loki's eyes turned red. Green magic swirled around him. The wind picked up in the room and people's hair and papers were circling around. He was brought out of his trance when a small hand tugged at his cape. Turning around his anger flared. But calmed when he realized it was Peter.
"Loki please, don't," Peter begged.
"BUT HE-"
"It's ok," Peter said with a sad smile. But tears were streaming down his face anyways. Loki's expression softened. He hates seeing Peter so sad.
Turning Loki dragged Peter into a hug. Letting him cry on his shoulder. Loki turned toward the other. His eye turned like a snake. He opened his mouth and a snake-like tongue hissed at them. Before he turned back to the fluff ball in his arms.
"It's ok Peter. I know the struggle. Far more than anyone else." Loki reached up and green magic flowed.
Loki showed Peter something that only a few knew. Peter got flashes of Loki's gender-changing over time to what suited them. To who they were. Peter pieced everything together and realized Loki was gender-fluid.
Loki turned to see Steve getting the dagger out of Thor's dick and Thor crying out about it.
The next thing he knew Thor was kneeling next to Peter. "Young Peter there is a misunderstanding. I thought it was the other way around. I apologize."
Lokis' eyes softened at Thor apologizing. He knew Thor wasn't lying. Peter turned and smiled. "It's ok Mr. Thor." Peter smiled and tackled the God of Thunder in a right hug.
Sighing Loki's magic healed Thor's wound. Thor let out a sigh in relief. Peter chuckled and let Thor get up.
There was some muttering in the background. Mostly of Bruce explaining the term to Steve and Bucky who didn't know.
The team smiled and they spent the rest of the day watching Pride movies. By the end of it, Peter was exhausted. He ended up passed out on Loki's shoulder.
When he woke up his binder was off and he was in some comfy clothes. Loki was next to him. "I used my magic. Don't worry."
Peter smiled. He got dressed and they made their way to the kitchen. Over the cabinets was a trans flag. Glitter was all around. The team was smiling and each one of them hugged him. Telling him they accepted him and always will. Peter was so happy that they were. He was in tears at the end of everyone talking. He felt loved.
