Fall in love
Bucky watched as Steve handed over the shield. Sam was honored to be the new Captain America. But Bucky was heartbroken.
No one knew but Bucky was in love with Steve.
When Steve saved him the first time. He began to fall for him. His feeling only grew during all the time they spent together. After all, Steve did save Bucky. Going against 117 nations for him. Bucky was sure that Steve felt the same. Even when they were young he was sure he felt the same.
But fuck, who was he kidding?
'Till the end of the line' was a bunch of bullshit.
Bucky planned on telling Steve how much he loves him. When he came back from returning the stones.
But Steve went back in time and stayed with Peggy. They were married and lived together. When Steve drove off. Bucky felt a sharp pain in his chest.
"Barns are you ok?" Sam questioned. Bucky's eyes began to water.
"Maybe if I fall in love with my depression. It'll leave me too." Bucky turned around. Chocked upon his words. Stray tears fell.
...
"I shouldn't be laughing, but-" Sam began. He circled Bucky. Only to see him brushing away his tears. Sam regretted what he said.
"Bye Sam. Good luck." Bucky walked away crying. He left and no one ever saw him again.
