Chapter 16
“So, are you guys excited about your internships?” Ochaco asked her date mates as they explored the vendor sections at the con. They were accompanied by Eraserhead and Mirio—sempai, who was getting some extra credit. Ochaco still couldn’t believe how strong Mirio was.
“Yeah, I can’t wait to meet Sir Nighteye; he’s the only sidekick All Might’s ever taken on. I’ve also heard about how amazing with analysis he is, and I need some reason to deter Nezu.” Izuku answered their date mates.
Both Shoto and Ochaco shivered at that. Izuku spent only a few days at most working with Nezu, and she’d taken down one of the worst villains hiding as a hero while simultaneously reigning hellfire upon the commission. They were still technically in charge, but only because it took time to go through all the shit Izuku had dug up on them.
At least they all got to plan creative ways to finally end the commission while they waited. Though they’d have to get behind 1—B. They didn’t like how they missed out on taking care of Endewhore.
Considering almost the entire organization was corrupt…well, there was a lot to plan for each person.
“I think Sir is looking forward to meeting you too. At least I hope so he’s a bit difficult to read sometimes.” Mirio added in his two cents. These Kohai of his were so adorable and powerful in their own right. A few more years, and they’d probably be able to take his group on. Hell, the Midoriya kid could probably take his entire group on by themselves in two years.
Mirio wouldn’t lie. Someone with that kind of power was terrifying. Good thing they were so set on becoming a hero. He shuddered to think what could have happened if they’d become a villain. Even without a quirk, this kid could take out most heroes with their analysis alone.
“Oh my gosh, I know that booth c’mon guys, we gotta go check it out.” Izuku grabbed their Boyfriend's and Girlfriend’s hands, dragging them over to a booth called alternate selves.
“Izuku! It’s so good to see you again, and I see you brought some friends this time.” The owner said, brightening at seeing her favorite green bean.
“Boyfriend and Girlfriend, actually.” Shoto piped up, correcting the artist as he flipped through their book. This was some decent artwork, and—was that him as a villain?
“Pretty cool, right? Alice can see how a person would look like and a bit about them based on what universe they’d be in or if they made a different choice. She takes commissions but brings art to match the con she’s attending.” Izuku explained to Shoto, who nodded.
“Do you have a version where Dabi ended up as a hero? Or a Vigilante?” Shoto asked the artist, who took a minute to think.
“I do. I also might have one with the entire family joining him as a villain, hero, or vigilante…excluding the sperm donor, of course.” Alice shrugged before going to collect them and bringing showing them to the kid.
Shoto’s breath hitched as he stared down at the artwork. It was beautiful, the best family picture he could imagine. In the villain one, his mother appeared to be the leader, covering herself in a thin layer of frost while curling a mist protectively around him and his siblings. Fuyumi’s skin held evidence of hypothermia but, in a way, was beautiful on its own. She was adding to their mother's mist, but it was foggier with the effects of her dry ice. Natsuo was dressed head to toe in stealth gear and held considerable amounts of medical supplies. Dabi was smiling wide, skin free of staples and grafts finally healed fully, probably because of Natsuo. Shoto, Shoto was in the middle, surrounded by his family as a way of protection. He, in turn, circled them in ice with sharp spikes pointed outwards.
The other two were similar, the only difference being in the hero one, they’re captured mid-attack against Endeavor; in the Vigilante one, they're shown mid-jump across a building, smiling wide.
“We’ll take all three of them in your largest size and you smallest, two of each please.” Izuku chimed in as they added some of the other bits of work to their purchase.
“Izuku, you don’t have to pay for it. I—” Shoto was stopped by Izuku placing her finger on Shoto’s lips.
“Hush you, I’m buying you guys what you want, Ochaco is providing delicious food while haggling to get us the best prices, and you already paid for us to come here.” She explained with Ochako nodding
“Yeah, but isn’t it a little bit too much,” Shoto asked, not knowing just how rich his date-mate was.
“You mean, you don’t know?” Izuku asked him.
“Know what?” Ochako blinked at them; she just figured Izuku had saved up for this trip.
“Alright, so you know how my dad is supposedly overseas working, right?” Izuku asked them, receiving nods in return.
“He’s the CEO and founder of the Dragon’s breath corporation.” She continued.
“The…Dragon’s corporation? Wait, you mean you’re that Midoriya Izuku? The successor of one of the most successful corporations in the world?” Ochaco screeched in shock.
“Yes?” Izuku said cautiously.
“Shit.” Ochaco began to freak out. Dating Shoto was one thing, but she would definitely be seen as a gold digger if she were dating two rich kids. She didn’t want that. Oh, what were people going to think of them? She didn’t want anyone thinking bad about her date mates or abo—Ochaco’s thoughts were interrupted when Izuku and Shoto kissed her cheeks, snapping her out of her internal dialogue.
“What’s wrong?” Shoto asked her.
“I just if people find out what’ll they say?”
“If it’s anything negative about any of us, then I’ll Detroit smash their face,” Izuku growled darkly. They’d put up with enough shit during their lifetime. There’s no way they were letting the two people they liked go through the same.
“I could always freeze them.” Shoto monotoned.
“You two are vicious, aren’t you.” Mirio popped out of the ground scaring the three.
“Considering Ochaco could send a person out of the stratosphere, I’d say we’re pretty tame,” Izuku muttered after her heart slowed down.
“I’m not the one who can manipulate energy.” Ochaco snapped at them, referring to their cover story.
“Point.” Izuku conceded.
“I do wonder something. Alice…is Izuku All Might’s se—mph.” Shoto was cut off when Izuku clamped their hand over his mouth.
“Shoto, I just told you my father is head of the Dragon’s corporation. Why would you still think he was my dad?” They hissed out.
“I actually couldn’t tell you since, in some verses, a person can have different parents or siblings. Hell, there’s even one verse where Endewhore was a decent person, though, All Might was a villain in that one.” Alice explained to them.
“For some reason, that seems like a terrible universe to live in.” Ochaco mused aloud.
“It is.” Alice deadpanned before throwing in an extra set of items. It was of the three of them, what can she say Izuku is one of her favorite customers.
“If we want to make it to the underground panel, we need to leave soon, Problem Children.” Eraserhead drawled as he gently placed one of the art pieces in his jumpsuit. One was of Hitoshi as a hero. The other, an idea for adult night, a very dangerous, very hot idea. Hopefully, Hizashi would be game.
“Kay. Thanks again, Alice; see you again some other time.” Izuku waved to their favorite artist, who waved back before sighing after they were all out of range.
That was a close one. Wouldn’t do if they found things out too soon. Good thing no one questioned her quirk further. They would have discovered it was far more similar to Sapphire’s ability from Steven Universe if they had. Now then, which universe should she visit next?
