Summary
*on hiatus*In many universes, Midoriya Izuku is only seen as the second coming of All Might. In this Universe, Izuku has grown tired of all the Villan attacks and has something of a wake-up call after the Stain incident in Hosu. Deciding they have been focusing on all the wrong things and taking Gran's advice to heart. They have stopped focusing on being like All Might and have instead focused on how to be a good hero, and help their friends. This unfortunately has the side effect of both scaring and impressing his teachers, gaining his classmate's admiration, and attracting unwanted attention from the League of Villians. Also it makes them a bit of a sassy little shit.
Note
Yo, I have another story with three chapters that are already written, and working on a fourth. I'm going to post the first two now and the second two after I clean this up. Also, this will be my first time writing a genderfluid character so hopefully, I don't mess anything up. After I finish writing/editing the other two chapters for this I'm going to continue working on my other stories. hopefully, soon I can finish some of my current ones. Also, I do not own My hero academia.

A different Start to Training camp

Izuku was listening to her travel playlist as she watched the road go by out her window. She took a break from coming up with plans on what to do if villains attacked wherever they were going. After her incident at the mall with Shigaraki, the school had changed the training camp's location. She only hoped it would be far enough away that the villains wouldn’t find them. But considering her track record, that wasn’t probable.

Which is why she was writing down different scenarios and plans to counter them. Including how to best utilize her classes quirks and what she possibly knew about 1-B’s quirks. While it was easy to gather data on her class, it was difficult for 1-B’s class, so she had to base it on the sport’s festival.

She was hoping to be able to use this camp to not only get stronger but help her classmates get stronger as well. She even created packets and saved them on an encrypted flash drive. Her mother had taught her a few years back how to encrypt things. ‘Never knew when someone might try and steal your work’ is what her mother had said.

Izuku jerked in her seat as the bus came to a sudden stop. She looked around to see nothing but a cliffside overlooking a massive forest and a nearby car.

“Everyone, we’re at a rest area, so hurry up and get off,” Aizawa-sensei said.

Izuku didn’t believe that for a second. There were no signs for a rest area, no bathrooms, and most importantly, this was Fucking Eraserhead. He was an underground hero and a teacher who loved to troll his students. Instead of getting off, Izuku made out that she was putting her stuff away before sneaking under the seats.

Unfortunately, her Sensei noticed she wasn’t outside.

“I said everyone, Problem Child.” He yelled.

Izuku sighed. Welp, she could always climb out the window and onto the roof of the bus…which is precisely what she did.

Aizawa saw her on top of the bus and pinched the bridge of his nose while secretly being impressed. Out of all the students here, he didn’t think the Problem Child would catch on to anything being amiss.

“Midoriya, get off the bus, and come join your classmates.” Aizawa sighed.

Izuku groaned but got off the bus, but hanged near the back, looking towards the car. When she saw who exited, she couldn’t help her squeal.

“You’re the Wild Wild Pussycats. The hero team known for their urban rescues!” She was so excited…until she remembered what one of their members was capable of and looked at her Sensei in horror.

He really was a sadistic troll.

“That’s right. There’s not enough staff available to teach all of you and 1-B, so they are going to be helping us push you all to your limits.” He grinned, and Izuku activated her quirk, alerting the rest of her class that something was up before she lept into the air and onto the bus.

Just in time to watch the rest of her class get swept down the cliffside. She didn’t even think she lept after her classmates, pulling as many as she could out of the melted earth and onto solid ground. It wasn’t long after everyone was safe on the ground that a massive beast appeared.

Izuku didn’t even hesitate; she charged one for all up to 10% and punched the beast dead center blowing it apart.

Koda began to grow frantic, thinking she had killed an animal.

“Koda, please calm down. That wasn’t an animal. It was a result of Pixie-Bob’s quirk earth flow. She can manipulate the earth to pretty much do whatever she wants.” She soothed him.

Koda calmed at hearing that. He had wondered why he couldn’t understand the creature.

“DEKU!” Bakugou screamed.

“Kacchan, please, for the love of All Might, calm your tata’s. I’m in no mood for this.” Izuku deadpanned as she blew apart another best from behind him.

“You shitty nerd! I didn’t need your help.” Katsuki raged.

“Then start destroying the damn beasts or help our classmates,” She screamed back.

“Don’t tell—” He stopped when he realized she wasn’t there.

“Koda, do you think you can see if there are any moles or groundhogs around this area?” Izuku asked him.

‘I think there are, but why…oh! You want to see if they can help make the beasts unstable’ He signed.

“Yep,” Izuku said, surprising Koda.

‘You know JSL?’

“I know enough to understand what you’re saying but can only really fingerspell right now,” Izuku answered. (She had been self-learning for a few months after she found out Koda was selectively mute.)

Koda smiled at her before going to Jirou and Momo. She saw Momo produce a megaphone, and Koda used that to talk to the aforementioned animals. Soon there were more of the earth beasts falling down, and the class moved forward.

Izuku ran after to Momo next.

“Hey, how much have you had to eat today?” She asked.

“Not as much as I should have. I didn’t think camp was going to start off as it did. I guess I should have predicted Sensei would have done something like this.” She answered

Izuku rummaged into her messenger bag and pulled out three high-fat bars made by the Fatgum agency.

“Here I brought along a couple of these because I wanted to test some things about your quirk, but I guess we’ll have to do that later.” She said, handing them to Momo

“Izuku, you’re a lifesaver, and your analysis hobby has once again proven to be a valuable resource.”

“O—o—oh, I wouldn’t say that I just really like quirks and want to help my classmates improve.” She stuttered, flushing in embarrassment before pulling Momo away from an attack and destroying the beast.

“I guess I should hurry up and eat these, huh?” Momo said.

“If you would. Do you think you have enough lipids to recreate Kacchan’s gauntlets or something similar?”

“Maybe, but I don’t know the exact formula or blueprints, sorry.” Momo looked sheepish.

“Hey, it’s all good. What about LIME? I have a theory that with enough of it, we can temporarily Dry out Pixie-bobs creations long enough to destroy them.”

“I actually do know the composition for that,” Momo said

“Cool, so here’s the plan. I’ll carry you while you make the LIME and launch it at the creatures. This way, you save energy, and we get through them quickly.” Izuku knelt to let Momo on her back.

Momo got on without any hesitance. Soon they were destroying all manner of beasts. At the same time, Izuku helped her other classmates with advice on how to more effectively take down the beasts.

They arrived at the campsite 4 hours later. 2 hours after what the Pussy-Cats had set. However, everyone knew it might have taken much longer if it hadn’t been for Midoriya, though Katsuki would never admit.

“Oh, wow, you guys made it back a lot quicker than we thought you would,” Mandalay said.

“Yeah, and you were taking out my beasts left and right. Also, who’s idea was it to use LIME.” Pixie-bob asked.

“Oh, that was Midoriya,” Momo said, out of breath and exhausted. Those bars had helped, but she still overused her quirk.

“Aizawa sensei, you wouldn’t happen to have anything high fat nearby, would you,” Izuku asked.

“Don’t worry kittens, we have plenty of food ready and waiting for you. Since you lot finished earlier then we expected. We even got dessert ready for you. It’s gonna be smores,”  Ragdoll cheered.

“But after today, you’ll have to make your own meals, got it?” Tiger Growled.

Everyone nodded their agreements rushing towards the food. Izuku carried Momo to a table before grabbing her multiple plates of food and setting them down. She went to get in line but was stopped by Aizawa sensei.

“Midoriya, do you mind if I speak with you?” Aizawa asked

“Sure, Sensei, what’s up?” She asked, following him into the house, and then to a room that held a bunch of monitors.

Aizawa rewound the monitors to the beginning with her helping her classmates, talking to them. There wasn’t any audio, but that could be because it was muted.

“Problem Child, what the fuck.” Aizawa stated

“Er, Sorry,” She tilted her head in confusion. Did she do something wrong?

“Out of everyone in your group, you knew something was up when we stopped. You systematically figured out how to best use your classmate’s quirks to take out the beasts. And you seem to have gotten a lot stronger since the finals. So again, What. The. Fuck.” Aizawa reiterated.

“Oh! Well, you know how I’m always writing in my notebook?” She asked.

“Yes?”

“Do you know what’s in them?” she pressed her fingers together nervously

“Problem Child, I don’t make it a habit to read my student’s private thoughts.” Aizawa deadpanned.

“They’re not a journal, well, not quite. They’re actually analysis; my quirk didn’t come in until really late because my body wasn’t ready to handle it. I was essentiallyquirklessbutstillwantedtobeaherosoistartedanalyzingquirksanditbecameahobbysonowiuseittohelp—”

“Stop,” Aizawa said, cutting off Izuku’s muttering

Aizawa took a moment to try and figure out what Izuku had said,

“Let me see if I understand this. You have been writing notebooks to analyze other people’s quirks to prep for becoming a hero because your quirk came in late.” Aizawa asked

“Well first, it was mainly hero’s, but after I got into U.A., I wanted to help my classmates, so I started to analyze their quirks to see if I could help them strengthen and eliminate their weaknesses. After the USJ incident, I figured I should start analyzing villain quirks too because it might come in handy.” She answered

“Midoriya, how late is late, and do you happen to have these notes on your classmates?”

“My quirk didn’t actually come in until the day of the entrance exam, and I made packets for them for this trip. I was hoping to go over them with you. They're on this flash drive that my—”

“I’m sorry, did you say the day of the entrance exam as in you’ve only had your quirk for about a year?” Aizawa’s eyes were flashing.

“Yes.” She squeaked.

“Give me a second,” Aizawa said before flipping his phone out and calling someone.

“Nezu, did you know Midoriya only had their quirk for a year….And you didn’t tell me because…I wouldn’t have expelled her. I would have kept them from the physical activities until they had control of their quirk….*sigh* did anyone else know? Of course, why am I not surprised.”

Aizawa hung up then dialed another number.

“When the fuck were you going to tell me that my student didn’t have their quirk until about a year ago?...Oh really, yeah a lot good that did them…I don’t care if they learned how to control it thanks to your old mentor…well they could have gotten help a lot sooner…fine.” Aizawa held the phone out to Izuku

“He wants to talk to you.”

“H-hello?”

“Midoriya my—

“She/her,” Izuku said, fiddling with her pink bracelet.

“Midoriya, my girl, are you ok?” All Might asked.

“Yea, I’m fine. I just think Aizawa-Sensei might be concerned because he learned about my hobbies. I mean, I know it’s kind of cr—”

“Actually, if you’re referring to your notebooks and your analysis hobby, I think it’s a good skill.” All Might cut her off

“Wait, really, but—Sludge incident?” She questioned, making Aizawa’s eyes widen sharply

“Yes, I read some of your analysis in your book before I signed.” He responded.

“I see. Well, I’m glad you thought they were good. Most people think their kind of creepy when they find out about them,” Izuku said, starting to close in on herself. Aizawa noticed this, and more things about the kid started to make sense.

“Problem child, ask him to hurry up,” Aizawa said, wanting to get to the bottom of what was going on.

“Oh um Aizawa, Sensei wanted you to hurry up? I think he means you had something to tell me?” Izuku said.

“More like ask, do you think he’s trustworthy enough for the secret? And are comfortable with it being shared?” Izuku stared at her teacher, thinking.

While she didn’t really trust teachers, she had begun to trust Aizawa-Sensei and anyone willing to risk their life as he had for them…if anyone deserved to know, it was him.

“Yeah, I trust him.” She said

“Ok, hand me back to him.” All Might said.

“So what’s this big secret…I see…and you didn’t think how all of that sounded…Yagi when I get back, you and I are going to be having words…did Nezu know…and Recovery girl, anyone else…but not her mother…yeah, no, I’m kicking your ass and then dragging both you and her to explain to her mother about the mess you made.” Aizawa finished before snapping the phone shut.

“Um, Sensei, I don—”

“If you’re going to say it’s not a good idea to tell your mother, I will have you spar with me and attend remedial classes with the others.” Aizawa snapped, activating his quirk.

Izuku flinched back, causing Aizawa to sigh.

“I’m not angry at you, Midoriya. If anything, I’m angry with the adults who handled this. Also, All Might should have consulted your mother first. One because you’re a minor and second because nobody should ever fuck with the Crimson Viper.” He shuddered as he finished saying that.

“I’m actually surprised that you know about my mother’s court nickname,” Izuku said bemused.

“I’ve worked with her on a few cases; I know what she’s capable of. Now, you mentioned something about packets for your classmates?” Aizawa asked.

“Oh right, I actually have them on this flash drive. It’s encrypted, so you’ll need me to enter the password. Otherwise, it might infect the computer or just produce the files but in gibberish, or delete them.” She said as she rummaged through her backpack, pulling out said drive.

“Very well enter the password, then go get some food. I’ll take a look at these packets and see if they can be used.” Aizawa said, grabbing the flash drive and plugging into a computer that was hidden away.

“I take it there's nothing about One for All on here.”

“No, I’d rather not risk it.” She said as she was heading to dinner.

“All right. Go enjoy dinner and don’t antagonize Kota.”

“Who?” She asked.

“He’s Mandalay’s nephew and hates heroes.” He replied, already reading through the files

‘A kid who doesn’t like heroes, huh? I wonder why.’ Izuku wondered before entering the dining hall to grab what food was left.

A few hours after everyone had gotten settled, Aizawa-Sensei had pulled everyone to the remedial classroom.

“Er, Sensei, why are we here,” Hagakure asked

“You’re here because one of your classmates took it upon themselves to develop training packets for you. I have looked at said packets and concluded it would be illogical not to use them on top of the training we already have planned. So come and get the packet with your name on them. Read over them tonight to get some idea on how training is going to be for tomorrow.” He answered, dropping the packets on the desk.

“Tch I don’t need some stupid pa—”

“It’s not a suggestion, Bakugou. It’s an order unless you want to join the other students in remedial lessons.” Aizawa threatened.

“Fucking fine, give me the stupid packet.” Bakugou snarled as he grabbed his.

“Sensei, where’s Deku’s packet,” Uraraka asked

“Indeed, it is highly unprofessional and improper to—”

“Iida, wait, it’s fine really. I don’t actually need a packet considering—”

“Considering Midoriya was the one to make those packets.” Aizawa interrupted her.

“WHAAAT!” The entire class, excluding Bakugo, who was flipping through his own, screeched.

“Oi shitty nerd,” He said.

“Um, yes, Kachan?” She looked at him nervously

“Do you really think this’ll reduce my recoil?” Bakugou asked, pointing to a diagram on how to reduce the recoil his hands produced.

“Oh, um, in theory? I won’t really know until you try, but I theorized ways to reduce it for you after the Final exam.” She answered.

“Tch might as well try it, but don’t think this makes you any better than me, got it.” He snapped

“Um, right,” She ran her fingers through her hair to calm her nerves; it was something she’d picked up from her father, according to her mother.

“Now, everyone but Midoriya, go to bed. You have a long day of training ahead of you tomorrow.” Aizawa said.

“You wanted to talk with me?” Izuku asked once everyone had left.

“Yes, what exactly have you been doing to increase your control on your quirk?”

“When I interned under Gran Torino, I learned to spread the power throughout my body and then lower the percentage that way. After our internships, I started looking up a way to increase the power and saw that meditation could help, so I started that. I tried to do movement mediation at the school gyms, but it’s not going too well, I’m at 10% now without any pain, and I can push it to 15%, but then my limbs start to hurt.” She explained

Aizawa stared and stared and stared.

“Midoriya, why have you been hiding this side of you?” Aizawa finally exclaimed.

“I haven’t really been hiding it. I just haven’t been able to use it as much as I want. I’ve had other things on my mind, especially with all of the attacks that have been happening. It’s easy to look at how to improve on other people’s quirks but not my own.” Izuku answered meekly

“Alright, I can see that. Here’s what we're going to do starting tomorrow, you’re gonna spar with me, and then you’re gonna work with Tiger. Rag-Doll is a certified quirk counselor, and she is going to help you use your quirk. Now, is there anything else you would like to talk to me about?” Aizawa asked

“No, not at the moment. I do have some questions for Ragdoll, but I guess it can wait until tomorrow.” Izuku answered

“What’s the question? I can relay it to her later.” He sighed

“Well, I wanted to know if her quirk is always on or if she has to actively use it? If it’s the former, then I’m pretty sure she’s already using to watch for villans, but if it’s the latter, then I wanted to know how many—Pulses I guess?—that she can use in a day.” She answered

“Problem Child, please whatever you do, never let Nezu see your notebooks or her your mutterings,” Aizawa begged her. He was impressed by her analysis and terrified of Nezu creating another him but with All Might’s strength.

“I’ll try, but doesn’t he have cameras at U.A., and if they have audio, then isn’t it only a matter of him looking me up through them?” Izuku asked.

“Fuck” Aizawa slammed his head into the wall contemplating whether he should attempt to prevent the apocalypse or assist it along while drinking copious amounts of alcohol.
