barren beach
chapter 4-
Reaching the old abandoned beach was nothing exciting, only the old nagging feeling that he has been in this area previous to this, yet knowing all his adoptive families have been on the complete opposite side of the Takoba Municipal beach where Izuku currently just sat down the heavy briefcase filled with gold, overlooking the trash-filled beach and the slight glimmer of shining seawater.
While heaped with trash and smelling worse than the sewers, he found it almost welcoming. Nobody would bother him here, they would not even glance in the direction of the eyesore beach, never would notice a little kid slipping between the high piles of metals, trash bags, old cars, and only God knows what else. So Izuku once more picked up his briefcase and headed down into the pit, weaving around sketchily balanced piles, ducking and climbing over bags and bags of trash until he finally found a semi-clear spot to settle down far out of sight of any possible people passing by.
With that he got to it, he had so many questions about what this mysterious quirk was, what it could do, where did it come from, and most importantly... How does he control it?
First, he thought to try thinking of a barrier surrounding him... but, as expected absolutely nothing happened. Next, he tried closing his eyes and reaching deep inside of himself, again nothing happened. Izuku tried everything he could think of, and just as he was about to give up and call it a day- something happened, his hands glowed gold. How he did it, he has no idea, but he was ecstatic about finally seeing his quirk! it looked like a veil of gold covering his hands in a glove-like manner, making his hands shimmer golden under the sun's rays. Then when he breathed out he watched as the gold started to break away into little flakes and blow off into the wind, getting swept up into the heaps of trash.
So over the next couple of minutes, hours and days that's all that the little green-haired boy worked on. He learned more and more about his quirk every day, getting as far as learning that this golden like cover can even heal wounds and that while he could use his quick almost consistently for minor things such as making golden gloves, a shimmering gold necklace, and sometimes even a jacket of sorts, he could not hold the quirk to be a full shield or barrier for longer than 3 hours at a time or else he would physically blackout.
He also learned that when he did use it as a barrier or shield of sorts he gets an adrenaline rush like no other, giving him faster reaction times and increased speed to run slightly faster than the average person, but not enough to be considered a speed quirk. After all of that Izuku started using his quirk to start cleaning the beach enough so he had a more secure spot to hide his goods and sleep within the dirty sandy beach.
Soon enough the weekend came and Izuku was heading towards the mall not very far from the trashcans agency... sorry he means Endeavors agency. While dirty and sandy, he was able to use this newly discovered quirk to heal and minor scratches he got from training in the garbage heaps, then using some napkins to make himself look a little more approachable.
Then Izuku realized one vital mistake... he forgot to tell the indigo haired boy where to meet in the mall, so Izuku just did the only thing he could think of, which was go and sit at the fountain in the middle of the mall while waiting for the purple-haired teen.
Luckily the green-haired teen did not have to wait long as he saw Hitoshi heading right towards him, covered in a dark black hoodie that swallowed him up from being two sizes too big for his slim build. With a happy smile, the Green jumped up and made his way over to Hitoshi.
" You made it! I'm glad... you are looking much better compared to the last time I saw you Hitoshi" Izuku said in a gentle voice while offering his hand to the slightly taller male.
" Yea... uh.. thanks for the help last time Deku... my foster parents were not all that thrilled about me coming home like that but, I was able to manage.. heh," The purple-haired teen said while awkwardly looking down and shaking Dekus hand.
Then the two started to aimlessly walk around the mall, neither having money to buy anything so they just looked around and talked about how stupidly dressed some people were and how do some of the workers in the mall shops look. Then just as they were about to leave the mall to walk around in the cold outdoors, a fancy red Lamborgini pulled up and a tall, blond-haired red eyes teen not much older than the two other teens stepped out with a scowl, doing something with his hand before stomping off right towards the door Hitoshi and Izuku were standing at.
" Get out of my way you damn extras, you are skinking up this whole damn mall" The blond sneered looking right into purple and green eyes who were both frozen on spot for two completely different reasons.
For Hitoshi, he was frozen in fear, feeling the same feeling of dread before he was about to get beat up by all the bullies for having a " villain" like quirk.
For Izuku it was the sense of familiarity, he knew this loud blond and red-eyed teen who seemed to have a permanent scowl on his face. This blond teen who wore designer clothes worth more than anything Izuku had on his immediate person despite owning multiple objects of real gold.
Then as life came back to normal speed, the loud blond pushed the two smaller teens out of the way harshly before storming into the mall, seeming to knock them both back to the present as the two then rushed out of the doorway and towards the cold streets that they both knew all too well.
Then the two split with promises to meet each other again shortly, Izuku heading back to his abandoned beach to train more on his quirk, while Hitoshi headed back to his own hell, heading back to the family that hated him more than he hated himself.
