How Interesting

It caught me off guard I will not even attempt to say otherwise. Runa being here early in the morning. She’s waiting outside next to Sayaka. She’s laughing at something, and Sayaka seems to quite irritated. What an honest girl she is. She does not even bother to try to hide her blatant dislike for Runa. Well this will be quite interesting. The door is opened for us and Sayaka bows as we exit as always. Runa doesn’t.

“Oh President, Vice-president I think we should build a candy store in the school.” Her smile is wide, and she is fidgeting out of excitement. Besides her Sayaka seems even more peeved. Oh my she can just never take a joke can she. How cute. Such an unusual girl my secretary is.

“Is this what you needed to ask the President, Yomosuki? Certainly such a topic is not urgent enough for you to be unable to wait for today’s student council meeting.” Exasperation is always amusing on Sayaka. Her eye brows furrow, and she frowns in the most intriguing way.

“No I need to speak the President alone about something.” The childlike wonder in her eyes is gone replaced with something cold. Her smile is sadistic. Now what is this girl planning? I simply must know.

“Let’s speak in the student council room. You two may do whatever you wish.” Runa’s smile widens. Yes this will certainly be interesting.

“But President—“ I move forward to touch her cheek, but she flinches back. I cannot hide my surprise Sayaka has never done this before, but the slight blush on her cheeks reassures me... such a lovely sight and familiar too.

“Don’t worry Sa~ya~ka. We can discuss whatever needs to be attended to during lunch...unless you’re perhaps planning to abandon me again.” For a instant the blush on cheeks changes from a light dusting to a deep red, but it’s gone in an instant. Her face is unreadable as she nods and turns to walk through the gates. Interesting. Sayaka, I wonder will there ever be a day where you do not mange to puzzle me. Such is a life I suppose. “Well let’s discuss whatever it is you need Runa.”

I enter through the gate keeping a brisk pace. It’s simply too amusing watching Runa trying to keep up on those short legs of her’s. I am certain she is well aware of what I’m doing, but she doesn’t seem irritated. I should not be surprised Runa has never been one to get angry. She wishes “to go with the flow” whatever that means, but still she is awfully happy. Her walk is too much of a skip for her not to be. Anything that pleases Runa this much is certain to spell out trouble, but trouble for who I wonder. True neutrality she claims...impossible. Her loyalty rests on the shoulder of chaos. I cannot claim to be any different, but I would never pretend to be neutral because to be neutral would be to deny my own desire, and that just simply is not in my nature. If I want it, I will have it. I wonder what if I don’t know? Impossible.

I look down at Runa she doesn’t appear to out of breath how unfortunate that would be quite funny. The room to the student council room is on my right I open the door, and she follows after me. I sit down in my chair, and wait for Runa to take her seat. But she doesn’t. She comes closer until she standing directly besides me. Hmm interesting indeed. She pulls herself up and sits on the table. It’s quite a shock that she could actually do it. She’s smiling wide and kicking her legs back and forth. Truly it would be near impossible to tell her apart from child if it weren’t for that sadistic side of hers. I guess even then it’s still difficult to tell...I know it from first hand experience...that children can be cruel. Perhaps then it’s those knowing eyes of her in those moments when she looks at you as though your whole life has been laid bare before her. She’s far more clever than she pretends, and she sees far more than most. Is that where her bravery comes from?

“Do you prefer graph or cherry flavored candy? Or maybe blueberry?” She’s pulling out a lollipop now. It’s purple...graph I suppose. She unwraps and places it in her mouth.

“It has never caught my interest. Candy that is.” She pulls out the lollipop with a pop, and smirks.

“I saw Sayaka yesterday.” I feel my left eyebrow raise. It’s about Sayaka now is it. My eyes narrow as she places the lollipop back in her mouth.

“Oh my what a shock.” Her eyes and smirk widen.

“During lunch...” It peeks my interest. She pulls the lollipop out again and twirls it in fingers. “With Terano.” She bits into the lollipop in that moment. As it crunches in her mouth, she continues to smirk at me. Her eyes are glowing now.

“And what of it?” She throws her head and laughs. It fills the room, and the sound of it echoes in my head. I dislike her laugh quite a bit.

“Quite an interesting relationship right?” She leaning in closer now. I can smell the lollipop now. My jaw tightens and I stand. I place my hands on either side of her.

“I’m not quite sure what you’re implying, but I would suggest you refrain from doing it in the future.” She’s still smiling staring deep into my eyes. There’s no fear in them. She slides of the table, and walks a few feet. She pauses and turns back around. She makes eye contact with me as bites into the last of purple lollipop.

“Catch.” She throws something. I look down at my hand to see the empty lollipop stick. I look back up, and the door slams behind her as her laugh fills the hall.

I throw it across the room.
