Instead of moving, Bakugou stuffed his hands in his pockets as his anger died out. Now he was just blushing with embarrassment as he looked away. After a while it happened.
"Fuckin' ...please." He growled. His voice was small and gruff, but there and he almost looked cute with his horrible posture and angry puppy dog eyes looking away from her face. He was acting like a child, begging for a toy until he got it, throwing a tantrum and doing anything it took to get what he wanted.
She panicked when he met her eyes again. She didn't have an answer yet, not to that. His hand timidly reached out for hers and she flinched.
"Am I interrupting something?" They both turned to see Mina who had a giddy look. Was she watching us the whole time? From the shock and excitement on her face probably not, but Ochako couldn't be sure, she was so focused on Bakugou the whole time, that she kind of forgot other people existed. She quickly rolled her sleeve down.
She turned bright red and from her peripherals she knew Bakugou did too. As soon as Bakugou moved to let Mina into the kitchen Ochako made her escape. He was too shocked and flustered to scream after her, opting for Mina in her place.
Instead of going to her room though she went to sit with Todoroki and Midoriya, still coming off her adrenaline high, she realized her heart was pounding. They were talking about Allmight. Todoroki still believed Midoriya was a secret love child, and that wasn't the only theory he had either, apparently some Shinsou guy was Aizawa's secret love child too. Why so many children?
He snapped out of his conversation when he noticed her though. "Your face is red." Thanks Captain Obvious.
"Yea, um, how is your day going Deku?" Okay maybe it was a little rude to ignore Todoroki like that for the second time today, but she couldn't help it, the guy was too blunt and observant and knowing his crazy theories, he might just decide to dissect her.
Deku looked from her to Todoroki before deciding not to question it. "It was good, me and Todoroki were just talking about Allmight and how he is a teacher of mine and not my father, hahaaa" Midoriya was blushing nervously, probably hoping Todoroki would switch topics. It looked like he was about to with the burning stares he was giving her. Please don't create some crazy theory on why I'm blushing right now, she begged internally.
"Do you remember your dad?" She asked. This made him look away towards Deku again. He took the bait, of course he did, predictable. Then she thought of another question. "Were… were you guys parents each others soulmates?" She gingerly drank from her water she forgot she had been holding this entire time.
"My parents weren't.. My dad apparently had a mark from someone else so I had a slim chance of getting one, but I did" He smiled brightly. Ochako's heart fluttered, but she ignored it. "What about you Todoroki?"
"My parents both have soulmarks, but they aren't soulmates. My siblings have them, so I probably will too."
"Hmm" She thought that over. When both your parents had soulmarks it was likely you would too, but never certain. Unlike normal genetics there was never a guarantee. Her mom had a soulmark and her dad didn't. When one partner has it they have a really low chance of having a child with a mark, but here her and Deku were, both having one. How lucky they were in the minority. Ochako didn't feel lucky.
Then again, Bakugou had asked her genuinely to be with him. He had said please. She honestly didn't know that was even possible for him. Why did it make her happy? To see him all flustered like that? Get over it, he only asked for his benefit. Not like he could get a girlfriend anyways. He's always such a jerk-
Being so caught up in her thoughts she hardly registered the figure moving to sit next to her. When she saw who it was she immediately forgot what she was upset about.
"Hey guys! What's up?" Kirishima gave her a blinding smile and she returned it with her own. The fact he wasn't acting differently to her even after seeing that low point made her feel like she was on cloud nine and she immediately relaxed.
"We were talkin-" She noticed Todoroki and Deku looking between her and Kirishima. What scheming friends I have…
"-g about our parents and their soulmates."
Mina came up behind her as she finished the sentence. "Sorry guys I'm going to have to borrow our girl for one second." She gave a look that Ochako knew too well. The one of her not backing down. It's probably better to be chewed out now than later I guess, she thought miserably.
She followed Mina, glancing back at Kiri with an apologetic smile. He nodded back which made her heart do flip flops. Wait. What.
