It's Not You It's Me
Ochako felt herself running behind. Instead of getting ready immediately after turning off her alarm she layed in bed daydreaming for 10 minutes and it almost made her late. When she made it to class a second before the bell rang, she saw Iida eyeing her from across the classroom. She felt the need to taunt him. Reprimand me and watch Aizawa get mad at you for getting out of your seat, she thought. Iida never did, and Aizawa started class like normal.
The entire class period she kept getting glances from Kirishima. She pretended not to notice it, but she felt his worry. Kaminari even asked what was up with him before Aizawa glared their way. She didn't mind Kirishima worrying for her, He probably only was because he had freaked out over his words when it was his birthday, at least that's what she was told.
She appreciated the sympathy, but the looks made her feel flustered. He was only looking at her because of the soulmate thing. Right?

During lunch Ochako's thoughts were once again fixated on Kirishima. He hid his words to find someone else. Huh..
"Hey deku?" The boy beside her turned to her, slightly startled from suddenly being addressed. "Why do you hide your soul mark?"
The freckled boy blushed and stared at his katsudon, rambling. "O-oh well what if they don't like me in that way? If they don't get a mark-or do and want to find someone else I would completely understand and who's to say they don't already have a crush on s-someone I me-"
Todoroki tapped on the table, snapping Midoriya out of it. The green-haired boy just blushed harder and laughed nervously. "S-sorry.."
Uraraka pondered what Midoriya had said. "So it's not because you don't like them?"
Midoriya looked away and nodded, now uneasy.
"What about you Todoroki? Your birthday is soon." She wanted to get as much knowledge about what everyone thought about soulmates from people that wouldn't pry to see what hers said.
"When I get mine, I'll see who it is and go from there." His monotone voice seemed sure of what he said. She turned to Iida.
"I fully agree with Todoroki. I think me and my soulmate will make it work." He said with a robotic swing to his arm. Ochako just picked at her food. Would her soulmate try to make it work?
Midoriya gave her a bright smile, and her heart ached. He gave a look that was so easy to read: I'm here for you if you need it. She smiled back, but she didn't want to talk to him about a potential match. Not when it still hurt so much to know it wasn't him.
