The Old Therebefore
Summary
JOSEPHINE MONROE was not like all the other girls that Wednesday had met, and not because she didn't enjoy typically girly things or always wanted attention; but because she didn't speak. Josephine never spoke a word, and that naturally made Wednesday curious. As the two girls embark on a rather dangerous journey, they grow close. What if they grow closer than mutual friends?

23. Nighshade’s Library

episode seven , if you don't woe me by now

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS was once again, back in the nightshade library. Getting in was the easy parts she passed her mother on her way down the stairs and stared at Xavier left, he hasn't spoke to her since Josephine went missing (but miraculously her grade was still at a 99% in all her classes, Wednesday checked).

"You know what your problem is?" Xavier asked as Wednesday sighed and turned around to face him.

"I would love to hear your piercing insight." Wednesday sassed as she stared at Xavier, who crossed his arms and made a face.

"You don't know you your real friends are." Xavier pointed out. "I've been on your side since day one. I literally save your life! I believe your theories when nobody else did. What do I get in return? Just nothing bud suspicion and lies."

I WOULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR YOU.
YOU BEVER JUDGED ME
YOU DONT STIP ME FROM INVESTIGATING
YOU DONT HOLD ME BACK FROM BEFRIENDING

"Fine. You want honesty? Here it is. Every time the monster's attacked, you've been right there. Starting with Rowan at the Harvest Festival."

THERES A SAFE HOUSE OUT WEST, IN WYOMING
BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO RUN

"Then on outreach day, you arrived just minutes after the monster disappeared. Yet you say you didn't see it."

"I didn't realize proximity was a crime." Xavier got into Wednesday's face and she pushed him back.

"Then their's your drawing obsession. You have drawn the monster dozens of times, yet you've never seen it, or so you claim. You even he drew where it lived.

MON TESOR I DONT THINK IT'S XAIVER

"Let's not forget your oh-so-convince appearance the day Josephine went missing, back at the Gates mansion."  Wednesday listed every time she saw him and felt the urge to lock him up, it had to be Xaiver, it just had to be Xaiver.

"If I am the monster. Then why haven't I killed you, yet?" There was an eerie quiet as they stared at one another.

"Beacuse for some reason I cannot fathom or indulged why you seem to like me." Wednesday growled back at him, he started to turn around.

"What's to like?" Xaiver looked back at Wednesday and rolled his eyes before going up the stairs. Wednesday was left alone.

Days passed and it has been a week and a half since Josephine went missing. Wednesday was walking from her the weather vane, walking away from the diary she had showed Tyler. She walked into her dorm and saw Josephine's light pink computer sitting there on her desk. She saw Enid's eye polish and picked it up, placing it on Enid's desk. Left the diary.

"I don't miss her, and this is not a date. I am repaying him for almost getting him killed. Josephine is still my darling. Watch the diary." Wednesday left, quickly shutting down all of Thing's crazy conspiracy theories.

The girl dark blue hair stood in the woods, a broom in her hand a potion in the other. She smashed it against the floor. It shattered and blue mist hit everywhere; she hid the bike, it became a huge tree and the bike Fester Addams came here on was gone.

Wednesday made her way back to the dorm, where she felt something was wrong. The air was different and the room reeked of, blood? Wednesday turned around and called for Thing. "Thing? Thing!" Wednesday say blood drip down on to her gramophone, the blood. It belonged to Thing. Wednesday pulled the knife out of Thing and held him close, she ran from her from.

She felt her heart beating and tears started to settle into her eyes. "Fester! Fester, fester help! Thing, Thing he had been stabbed!" Wednesday slammed open the doors and placed Thing on the table. She slammed everything out of the way and laid him down delicately. Fester out his hands together and started to conduct electricity.

Time slowed.

Wednesday remembers.

JOSEPHINE, COME BACK. COME BACK TO ME
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE AWARE.
BUT WE ARE SOULMATES
I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THIS.
I WILL FIGHT FOR US.

Fester placed electricity on Thing four times, but either time, nothing happened. "He's gone, Wednesday."

WE DONT KNOW WHEN SHE'LL WAKE UP

"No, he's not. Thing, if you can hear me, if you die, I will kill you." Wednesday told the hand, before she push him back over to fester. "Go again." No one said anything. "Now, go again. Please!" Wednesday slammed her hand onto the table and fester jumped a little bit.

THEN I WILL WAIT FOR HER TO WAKE

Fester rubbed his hands together and tries two more times. Nothing. Then fighters started cracking and Fester let out a sigh of relief. "For a second we thought you'd prick your last lock, buddy." Fester chimed with a sad smile.

JOSEPHINE!
WENDY...

"Who did this to you?" Thing signed slowly. "Knife from behind the back. Cowards. I promise that whoever did this to you will suffer. And it will be slow," Wednesday's voice cracked, "long, and excruciatingly painful." Thing slowly lifted up his pink. As if saying 'promise?' And Wednesday did promise, she too lifted her pink and wrapped it around his. Wednesday wiped a way a single tear.

"I'll get Josephine too," Wednesday shook her head, "I'll stitch him up. They never found your miter bike but the sheriff wont be far. You need to go." Wednesday's face was still stained with tears but she pretended it wasn't.

"I'll lay low here tonight, and keep an eye on the patient, and I'll skedaddle in the morning." Fester caved and decided it was time to move along.

"I guess I'll see you at your arraignment or the next family reunion." Wednesday moved and faced Fester.

"That or your wedding." Feet was right, if Josephine ever mysteriously popped up again, the next time they meet would be at Wednesday's Wedding. "You'll always be my favorite, Wednesday."

"Be sure to tell Pugsley that, it'll give him a complex." Wednesday and Fester exchanged sad smiles.

🦇

Wednesday Addams was a loyal person, anyone (especially Josephine Monroe knew that). So she went to Tyler, after she had convicted Xaiver. Xaiver was the Hyde, he had to be the Hyde. He followed Josephine around, he always there all evidence pointed to, Xavier. So Wednesday made her way to the Weather Vane. "We're closed." Tyler's voice was bored.

"Then you should lock your doors. There's some real sick people out there." Xavier, she had been talking about Xavier. Tyler turned around and smiled.

"Yeah, my dad told me about what happened with Xavier, and, um, Josephine too." The police reckoned Josephine was dead, it had been two, almost three weeks. "Pretty nuts, that guy always seemed to normal. You know, for an outcast. And Josephine, she um, was a bitch but now that she's gone..." Tyler leaned close to Wednesday who kept backing up.

And Wednesday backed up and Tyler got closer until her back was against the glass. Tyler snaked his arm around her waist. "Get off of me." Wednesday growled and Tyler smiled.

"Now that she's gone, I can do this." Tyler leaned down and kissed Wednesday, holding her neck so she couldn't let go. Wednesday's head flew back and she heard whispered in the back of her mind.

GET OFF OF ME

YOU MONSTER

TYLER LET GO

ITS HIM, HE'S THE MONSTER

THE ONLY MURDER HERE IS YOU

WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER DATED

RAPIST

Wednesday managed to push Tyler off of her and she rutted around; and ran out of the Weather Vane. Of corse her first nor is friend would end up being a manically inclined monster with an affinity for pushing himself into unwanted spaces.
