02. Half Way Through The Week
Episode one , wednesday's child is full of woe
WEDNESDAY ADDAMS was interesting, to say the least. She held her head high but she walked like she had secrets that were eating her up inside. Wednesday was like a child who manipulated her parents to get what she wants, and is used to getting her way.
Josephine hated this. She hated that Wednesday walked around the school like she owned it, everything was her experiment. Josephine hated that Wednesday was changing up her perfectly normal life, one that she worked so hard to get.
"Eugene, what about hive seven?" Josephine asked as she wrote down their progress with each of the hives, and how all the bees were doing.
"It's healthy, it should be ready to harvest in about a month." Eugene said as Josephine nodded and wrote down what they need to know later on. Josephine hummed 'Work Song' by Hozier lowly, so low that no one could hear it. "By the way Jo, you have to help Nurse Lucky, in five minutes." Eugene reminded as Josephine smiled, tucked her journal away in bag and smiled.
"Thank you, Eugene!" Josephine signed as Eugene smiled back at her. The way she signed her name, it wasn't finger spelling but bunny ears, because that's what Eugene reminded Josephine of, a bunny who is curious about life and needs to be protected at all costs.
"No problemo, Jo! I'll see you later." Eugene called out as Josephine waved as she ran backwards before she turned around, almost tripped, but kept running.

Nurse Lucky was a beautiful woman, with long blonde hair and sparkling eyes that drove a sense of comfort. She had a heart shaped face and often made sure the patients were well fed and ready to go to class before being set off. "Ah, Miss Monroe, right on time. Miss Addams came in few minutes ago, passed out. Tend to her, would you? I have to go to a meeting with Larissa; she's hiring another nurse." Nurse Lucky said, with an excited glance, Josephine nodded and with that, Nurse Lucky practically ran out of the room.
"Xavier." Josephine greeted with a disinterested glance. Xaiver's name was shown with two little teeth and ears, a Hyrax. Xaiver didn't know this of course, he just waved sheepishly and nodded. Josephine rolled her eyes and grabbed the chart from the clipboard at the end of the desk.
"Since when has that been here?" Xaiver asked, to which Josephine only rolled her eyes in response. Josephine walked over to him and closed his eyes, to his confusion, he kept them closed, he knew better than to question her. Josephine grabbed gloves, slipped them in her hands and grabbed a Q-tip out of glass jar next to the gloves (which were clear, to be able to see any liquid). With a wave of her hand, Josephine had Neosporin jelly was in her hand. Josephine squeezed some of the jelly onto the Q-tip and swabbed it onto the head wound (that looked liked it had stiches that had ripped) before she gave her a band-aid.
"Can I open my eyes now?" Xaiver asked as Josephine gave him the most 'are you serious right now?' kind of look. Josephine rolled her eyes and threw the Q-tip in the trash, along with gloves, before putting the Neosporin away. "I'll take that as a yes." Xaiver said as Wednesday almost stirred in her sleep.
"I need you to leave, you are disturbing the patient." Josephine said as Xavier just gave her a look, he found be bothered to learn ASL, even though he claimed they were friends. Josephine made a 'shoo' gesture before pushing him out of the nurse's office.
Josephine quickly shut the door and wrote down a note on a piece of paper for Wednesday, when she woke up. "'Wednesday Addams, you sustained a nasty head wound. I patched you up with some Neosporin and a band-aid. Please come back when Nurse Lucky is around so she can stich up your head wound with medical grade thread. Thank you, Josephine Monroe.'" Josephine wrote as she placed it down one the side table Elena fresh glass of water and some pain killers, if Wednesday needed anything. Josephine than walked over to a free bed, and plugged her earbuds in so she could do her homework for Honors Geometry.
"Miss Monroe!" Nurse Lucky called, who had just finished Josephine finished her homework, the song ('Work Song' by Hozier) that had been stuck in her head previously blasting in her ears. Josephine took out her earbuds and turned her head over to Nurse Lucky.
"Yes?" Josephine signed as she stared at the woman, who gave bright smile and brought in another woman behind her.
"We have a new nurse that's starting here. She and her family will be staying here until further notice, since there's some conflict going on where she is from." Nurse Lucky explained as she waved the woman inside. "Josephine, this is Nurse Fortescue." Nurse Lucky said as a woman with shoulder length brown frizzy hair walked in with a smile.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Monroe." Nurse Fortescue said as she stuck her hand out, to which Josephine shook.
"You as well, nurse Fortescue." Josephine signed as she heard Wednesday move from her spot in the bed. "Ah, Wednesday. Just in time, nurse Lucky can stitch you up before you leave." Josephine looked over to the raven haired girl who only scowled.
"I can stitch myself up." Wednesday grumbled as Josephine just stared at her, with a dead look on her face. Wednesday was taken by surprise, and felt color flood to her cheeks.
"Don't test me Addams." Josephine signed as she finger spelt Wednesday's last name, causing heat to flood further onto her cheeks. "I'm going to go get nurse Lucky." And with that Josephine left, Wednesday was slightly stunned. As Josephine walked over to Nurse Lucky she frantically signed that Wednesday needed to be re-stitched up along the forehead, to which nurse Lucky sent nurse Fortescue to deal with.
"Josephine, what's your next class?" Nurse Fortescue asked as Josephine almost rolled her eyes. Before waving the nurse off to grab her bag, and her jacket.
"I don't have a next period, since I was to be a doctor. I help around around here, I have AP Bio, AP World, Honors Geometry, Theater Tech and Swim." Josephine said with disinterest as she slung her bad over her shoulder and stared at the nurse before her. "I have to get going. I want to put my things back in my room before dinner starts; they're serving pesto pasta tonight." The brown haired girl whipped her head around and walked out the hospital wing, her jacket and bag in her arms. Wednesday, who had just finished getting stitched up and dismissed, ran after the girl, only to follow her to her dorm.
Josephine opened her dorm door to see something she did not want to see. Yoko and Diviana were once again doing assistant/ceo role play with their sex. With a light ping, Yoko's phone went off, only for her to see Josephine in the doorway.
"For the last time Yoko, I actually want to be able to sleep in my own dorm!" Josephine signed aggressively as she slammed the door walking in. Josephine packed a night bag with pajamas and her uniform with tomorrow inside, along with toiletries. "I suppose I'll have to stay with Bianca again." Josephine told Yoko with a glare before putting her bags and jacket in her arms and walking out and slamming the door.
"I heard Tanaka and Wilder, you could stay in Enid and I'd dorm, if you wish. You don't have to of course." Wednesday said as Josephine gave a light smile and a nod. The two walked in silence over to Ophelia Hall, allowing Josephine to out her things down.
