“Mel,” Jinju implored her, exasperated.
“Not interested, thank you,” Melanie replied, ignoring her as she sorted through the paperwork on her desk.
“It’s just one hour of your life,” Jinju huffed, “Come on. You owe me one.”
“No offense,” Melanie sighed as she turned to face the other woman, “But meditation is really not my thing. Especially in a class.”
Jinju shot her an unimpressed look, “One. Hour.”
“Fine,” Melanie threw up her hands and rolled her eyes, “Fine. I’ll join you tomorrow.”
Jinju grinned, “Thank you.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Melanie grumbled as she turned back to her task.
She was sure she’d regret it-but Jinju was one of her closest friends, and she’d try it for her, at least.
