Everyone else must've gone to bed because there were no noises coming from any of the rooms. The lights were all turned off, and the silence was deafening as luz headed straight to the kitchen and got her water. She stood there and drunk the whole thing down in a few gulps, just realizing how thirsty she was.
She lay her glass down and was just about to go back to bed when she thought she heard something move outside. Thinking that it was king or eda , she called out, "King? Eda? Is that you?"
She went into the living room and saw something moving outside. “Eda? she repeated as she walked to the sliding glass doors, expecting to see king digging in the garbage or even eda’s dad forgot to lock his truck, Instead she saw something that was definitely NOT her adopted mother.
It was two wolves dragging a dead white wolf. One wolf with fur as silver as the moon and the most beautiful golden eyes she ever saw and a massive brown wolf with blood red eyes.
Luz watched as both the wolves, turned their heads towards her and stared at her for a moment before picking up their bloody kill and drag it towards the woods.
Luz on the other hand slowly walked away back upstairs to bed.
